Gene and Anna’s cabin was lovely! Check in was easy, it was very clean and had everything we could possibly need during our stay. We went during the summer for a summer vacation. Will definitely will go back and stay again! They also have the perfect location. It’s close to West Jefferson, Boone and Blowing Rock. ( my husband told me to definitely mention the location!) This cabin is BEAUTIFUL. Everything was clean upon arrival. Love the 360 porch and hot tub. The cabin has everything you need to cook with.

Absolutely beautiful

Wonderful home for our family get a way! The pool table was a big hit! We had so much fun. I would highly recommend this property for couples, children, and family! The property was great and had everything we could have wanted!

Great vacation

The property was awesome! Great space to hang out indoors and outdoors with game room upstairs and wrap around porch downstairs. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and basic cooking needs.

Spacious house in quiet neighborhood. We picked location to visit the Boone and Blowing Rock areas. Seeing snow was a plus.

A Great Getaway Dwelling

Overall my experience at this location was great. I would recommend staying at this cabin/rental to anyone. The owners were very responsive to any question that I had during my stay. The cabin/rental was well furnished, extra clean and very spacious. A great place for two individuals or a large family. I definitely enjoyed my stay and would rent this cabin again.

Friends Weekend Retreat

Second year these six ladies have visited the West Jefferson area and enjoyed this beautiful mountain getaway. We mostly stayed on the spacious wraparound porch enjoying beautiful days and sharing meals in the well equipped kitchen. Hoping to return same time next year!

Roomy cabin in the mountains

Cabin was spacious and well appointed. Very nice neighbors who made us feel welcome! Mattresses were a tad too firm for us. Please put in a firepit, would make the evenings more enjoyable. Thank you for the use of your home :)

We have had a recent guest that let us know that was one of the highlights of their trip, to sit by the fire at night. We also plan to add a fixed fire pit at some point in the near future. Relaxing and Awesome

Our group of six ladies arrived to our Fall decorated vacay getaway feeling like we were welcomed home. The home was beautiful inside and out. Thank you to the hosts! We plan to make a trip back next Fall if possible. We made friend memories on the wraparound porch. The bedrooms and baths perfect for restful sleep and bathing. The kitchen was the heart of our stay. Our novice attempts at pool were fun. Fun filled trip sightseeing to local wineries loaded with laughter!

Peace and Quite

Had a wonderful stay in the cabin. Very clean and set up with two bedrooms on ground level suited our needs perfectly. Brought our two beagles with us and was great that entire wrap around deck was enclosed so they had the freedom to run and not worry about getting away. Great location for what we had planned. 20 mins from Boone and Jefferson. Gene was very responsive to our questions about the property as well as tips of local stores. You have to shop at the Ingles store. Best grocery store ever. Very peaceful location with lots of seating around the deck to enjoy nature and just chill. Beautiful home

Stayed for Thanksgiving 2023! House was beautifully decorated for Christmas, even had a huge live tree in the loft! We found the beds to be comfortable, even the futon in loft was great! Lots of extra pillows, blankets, sheets and all were like new! Had enough parking for 4 cars! Wrap around deck has amazing views and 2 latching gates, was wonderful for our dogs and child! The deck seating was the best we’ve ever had and we enjoyed our morning coffee there every day! The owners were absolutely wonderful to communicate with, I just can’t say enough about that, it’s so important to have great communication and they went over and above! Everything about the home exceeded our expectations!!!

Quick Weekend Near West Jefferson

Had a quick weekend stay in this house, which we chose for its location and the fact that there were enough first floor bedrooms to work with the older folks in our family. The house was clean and everything worked pretty much as it should. I think some folks mentioned lower water pressure - meh, not a big deal. Front door deadbolt needs to be adjusted a bit, you do have to pull the door closed to help the fancy Yale Nest electronic deadbolt. Again, no biggie. Neighborhood was quiet. In short, if we are travelling with the extended family around Boone/West Jefferson, we would certainly come back.

Great Family Getaway

This is our favorite mountain cabin to date and we’ll definitely be back! My wife and I vacationed here for a long weekend with our 4 kids and my mother-in-law. We are all big fans of Boone and West Jefferson so the location was a great fit in between. My mother-in-law has limited mobility so being able to pull right up to the entrance to the cabin with only 2 small stair steps to access the porch was perfect. Our two older kids (11&14) were big fans of the loft with pool table and arcade game. Our younger kids are both under 2 so the spacious bedroom upstairs was great for accommodating a couple pack n plays for sleeping arrangements. Everyone enjoyed the 360 degree porch with all its features (swing, swinging chairs, picnic table, and corn hole boards). The fact that both porch entrances were gated made it a great safe space for our toddler to play freely. We loved our stay and the attentiveness of the hosts. We will definitely be booking this same house in the future!

This charming cabin was amazing and just what we needed for our extended weekend of NASCAR racing at North Wilkesboro. The cleanliness was top notch and all the amenities of this cabin helped us relax after some days and evenings at the track! The kitchen is well stocked for all the cooking needs, as I cooked everyday and the property grounds are very well kept. We even took advantage of the trails that run around the property down to the creek and around the loop and found numerous wild life tracks including bear, deer and a very large fox den and groundhog hole. 10/10 recommend and will be staying here again !
