We were testing automated welcome messages and didn’t realize VRBO was sending duplicate and confusing notifications after your reservation was confirmed. We understand how frustrating that must have been. We’re sorry that some aspects of your stay didn’t meet your family’s needs, especially while traveling with a young child. Although the property was professionally cleaned before your arrival, our cleaner may have missed an area underneath the couch. We’ll follow up with our cleaning team to help prevent this from happening again. Our home offers several family-friendly amenities, including a crib, high chairs, children’s books, and toys both inside and outside. While we strive to make the home welcoming for families, we recognize that every child has different needs. We’ll also add a child-safety latch to the sink cabinet containing dishwasher tablets and cleaning supplies for added convenience. As noted in our listing, the home has stairs, and the layout provides separate sleeping areas upstairs from the living space downstairs. Many families appreciate this arrangement because it allows children to sleep in a quieter space while parents continue to spend time together in the living area. Our home is located on a quiet residential street away from the main road, with generally limited traffic. Unfortunately, during your stay, the city was carrying out street improvements, and we understand how the resulting construction noise may have disrupted your child’s naps. The backyard includes outdoor toys that families have enjoyed during their stays. The porch cushions are available upon request but are stored during rainy weather and the off-season to protect them from damage. We’re always happy to bring them out when weather permits. Regarding the neighboring dog, she may acknowledge unfamiliar guests when they first arrive, but she generally warms up with appropriate introduction with the owner. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us. Your feedback helps us better understand our guests’ needs and identify opportunities to improve.
