Casa Zorro sits on five acres in the picturesque Catskill Mountains. This cozy 3 BR/2.5 bath home is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The home offers privacy and serenity while being just a quick 5-minute drive into the town of Roxbury and only 10 minutes from popular wedding venues. Enjoy four-season fun with nearby hiking, skiing, golf, kayaking, antiquing, and breweries. Or stay in and relax by the fire pit, take in the stars from the deck, and rest in a comfy bed.



Casa Zorro is named for two shy (not sly) foxes spotted on the property’s outskirts from time to time. The house itself is visited by deer, hummingbirds, and wild turkeys. The house can comfortably host six people; children and pets are welcome. High-speed internet ensures you can stay as connected as you like. You’ll stay warm in the Winter with baseboard heating and cool in the summer with fans in each room. There’s plenty to do on the property, and you’re just a short ride away from the many attractions of the Catskill region.



Exterior:

The house sits on five acres at the end of a quiet road that becomes a walking trail through the woods. Instead of seeing neighbors, you’ll have a beautiful view each season: the verdant green canopy of trees in the Spring and Summer, the explosion of autumnal colors in the Fall, and in the Winter, the mountain views are revealed through the bare branches.



The home features a large deck with several rocking and Adirondack chairs and an outdoor dining table and grill. Step off the deck to enjoy the fire pit with a nearby picnic table, perfect for prepping your smores.



Common Area:

Relax in the great room, which features a vaulted wood ceiling that evokes the warmth of a ski chalet and a two-story, arched window that brings the forest into the house. There is plenty of plush, comfortable seating and a freestanding gas stove. The great room opens to the dining room with a farmhouse table ideal for serving great meals, playing board games, or setting up your computer for remote work.



Kitchen:

Bring home your bounty from the farmer’s market and enjoy whipping up the region’s fresh produce and meat in our fully equipped kitchen. There you’ll find a dishwasher, drip coffee maker, microwave, toaster, blender, mixer, and all the needed cooking equipment from pots, pans, utensils, cutting boards, measuring cups, etc.



Bedroom 1:

On the first floor, the main bedroom offers a king-size bed with a memory foam mattress, an en suite bathroom with a tub, a large dresser, TV, and a reading nook nestled next to a window overlooking the property.



Bedrooms 2 & 3:

On the second floor are two additional bedrooms, one with a full-size bed and the other with a queen. One of the rooms holds a writing desk next to another great view of the treetops.



Bathrooms:

There are two full bathrooms, one on each floor. There is also an additional half bath on the first floor.



Work & Play:

High-speed internet makes the space great for remote working or binge your favorite series from our Roku-enabled TVs. Or unplug with one of our various board games.



Location:

Casa Zorro is just a short five-minute drive to the Hamlet of Roxbury, with a coffee shop, wine store, general store, and restaurant. Enjoy hiking, biking, golf, and skiing within the greater township. The house is also a stone’s throw away from the historic home of famed writer and naturalist John Burroughs.



Guest have access to the entire property except the basement and the garage.

AWD or 4X4 is required to get up the driveway in the winter.



A maximum of 2 dogs is allowed, and they must be registered when booking. The pet fee is $50/pet per stay, plus an additional $75 pet cleaning fee. Pet fees must be paid before check-in, the host will let you know how to pay. You must clean up after your pets.
