Location and Luxury! Those words could not be more true when describing this 3 bedroom beach, 2 bathroom duplex located in North Myrtle Beach, SC.
705 18th Avenue South is located just a short walk or ride from the beach, making it a prime vacation spot! This apartment is a short ride to many restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The property neighbors so many attractions like Alligator Adventure, Duplin Winery, House of Blues, Barefoot Landing, Carolina Vineyards Winery, Hamburger Joes, and so much more! These attractions are about 10 minutes from the property! This property is pet friendly however the entire lawn is turf so you will need to take your dog off of the property to do their business!!!!
This beautifully renovated house has been converted to a duplex. Guests who book this apartment will enjoy their own private space on the upper level (Unit B). This property has been 100% remodeled from floor to ceiling and features new flooring, new roof, new bathrooms, toilets, new appliances, fresh paint, new furniture, a shared pool, putting green, fire pit, and SO much more!
Unit B is the upstairs apartment that features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, oversized kitchen, living room, full kitchen, brand new full size appliances (2022), and enough bedding to accommodate 12 guests!
The layout for unit B is as follows: Bedroom 1: This bedroom features a queen bed and is perfect for 1-2 guests. There are multiple windows for natural lighting, night stands, small closet for storage, and access to an apartment-size bathroom. This is considered the master bedroom! The master bathroom features a stand up shower, toilet, sink, and mirror.
Bedroom 2: This bedroom features a queen bed and is perfect for 1-2 guests. There are multiple windows for natural lighting, and a small night stand.
Bedroom 3: The 3rd bedroom features a bunk bed with 2 full size bunks and is perfect for 2-4 guests. There is also another bed underneath the bunk bed. The trundle bed will accommodate 1-2 guests. There is a window for natural light. There is also an accent chair that converts to a twin size pull out bed that will comfortably accommodate 1 guest.
In between the guest bedrooms, guests will have access to a full size bathroom with a stand up shower, toilet, vanity, sink, and mirror.
Living Room: Guests will enter apartment B into the living room area. The living area is the perfect area to relax and hang out. The living room is furnished with a sofa that converts to a sleeper sofa, accent chair, coffee table, and TV. The accent chair converts to a twin size pull out bed that will comfortably accommodate 1 guest.
Moving straight ahead you will find the kitchen. The kitchen offers brand new, full size appliances as of Winter 2022, fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and plentiful cabinet space. We provide all cookware, utensils, plates, cups, and basic kitchen necessities. Just behind the kitchen is the dining area. This area features a large table with chairs perfect for enjoying a family meal. For guests who prefer to dine out, there are several restaurants within a short walk or ride from the home. In addition, Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Postmates have become very popular food delivery options.
Guests of this house will be able to enjoy incredible amenities at the house. To start, the home features an oversized deck furnished with an outdoor gas grill, patio furniture, shared pool, pool chairs, putting green with 4 practice holes, soft astroturf throughout the backyard. Guests will have access to an oversized parking lot/driveway directly in front of the house. Please keep in mind that these outdoor amenities are shared with guests who may be renting the upper portion of the duplex. Guests should be considerate of each other and the shared space; no loud, overbearing music, no parties, no profanity, etc. Guests should try to limit their time when using the fire pit, grill, and putting green so that other guests may have a turn.
Pack light! We provide our guests with 8 towels, 8 washcloths, 1 hand towel, 1 bath mat, soap shampoo, lotion, and conditioner per bathroom. Bedding, pillows, linens, and everything you will need to enjoy your stay are included. We will also provide basic "starter toiletries" that include toilet paper, paper towels, dish liquid, soap, and more!
Guests are allowed to bring a max of 2 pets. Only dogs or cats are allowed. There is a 1-time pet fee of $250. When making your reservation, please select '1 Pet' even if you plan to bring two pets. This is because the $250 fee is a flat charge and does not depend on the number of pets accompanying you. Choosing '1 Pet' will ensure that the correct fee is applied to your booking. There are no size or breed restrictions. Pets are not permitted on the living room furniture. All pets must be crated when the guest leaves and the pets are left inside the home, unattended. Maintenance or housekeeping will not enter the property to perform services if pets are not crated. Failure to comply with the pet policy or house rules may result in additional charges, or even eviction.
This apartment is in a prime location in North Myrtle Beach. Guests are only a short drive to central Myrtle Beach, Little River, Wilmington, and Murrells Inlet. Guests love location and proximity to the beach, shopping, dining, live music, and so much more. This property is also only 5 blocks from the beach; a short walk or golf cart ride!

Spring getaway
A nice property. Walking distance to beach. Pleasant neighborhood. The backyard, pool, and fire pit were lovely. The master bathroom is small. We didn’t use the master shower because it was so small and feared that water would get all over the floor. There was a leak under the kitchen sink and the response from the property management was excellent. Someone arrived to make the repair within an hour (after business hours). This was my first rental, so I have no source of reference, but the kitchen could use a large pot, spatula and some more utensils. An enjoyable and relaxed getaway.

Decent Stay
Overall, the property was good for our group who stayed for a weekend. However, there were definitely a few concerns. The property is listed as being able to hold ~12 people, however it was MORE than cozy with 6. Definitely keep in mind that it would be very cramped with more than this many.
Also, the pull out couch collapsed in the middle of the night, which posed a bit of the problem. We were able to use a different bed, but if you are staying with a big group, this may be an issue.
Cleanliness was fine, but the floors were dirty. The shower in the master bedroom was very small which caused water to flow onto the floor. It was manageable, but definitely very cramped.
Finally, I don’t think that the renters were clear that this is a shared property with units on top and bottom. We were under the impression that the pool and putting green were private, but they are in fact shared with the unit below.
On the positive, they had more than enough amenities including towels and dishes which were much appreciated. Check in was an easy process and the renters were attentive and responded in a timely manner when I messaged them. Property was about a 10 min walk from the beach, and about a 3 min walk to a really good mini golf place. We really liked the pool and outdoor area.
Overall, this was a nice trip and worked for our group, but I would keep these things in mind before booking.
