Whether it's a getaway shared with friends or extended family, this spacious home offers an ideal spot for a seaside holiday. The private pool and furnished outdoor area provide the centerpiece for outdoor entertainment close to home, while the golden shores of Cherry Grove Beach are waiting for you less than a block away. Shops and restaurants along Sea Mountain Highway and the Cherry Grove Pier are each within five blocks in either direction of the home. Golfers in the group will appreciate the nearby convenience close to many great courses, including the Surf Golf & Beach Club (1.1 mi.).

Divided between two floors, the inviting interior offers plenty of room to spread out. Upper and lower living areas each feature comfortable seating and a smart TV. The ground-floor common area includes a mid-size fridge and microwave, while the main-floor kitchen comes fully equipped for home cooking. Each floor includes a covered deck for leisurely outdoor living. Additional perks include free WiFi, central air-conditioning, and a private washer/dryer.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this home and our family loves it. We had 5 children and 13 adults. The location is prefect; only a short walk to the beach.

We had our softball team (10 players & 3 team moms) stay here for a tournament. Layout worked well, ton of beds, great outside for fun, easy walk to beach.

“Okay”

The water was shut off during our stay for 6 hours, no direct contact with the owner, lack of updates on the status during the situation. Trash around the pool, cleanliness of the house overall was not the best.

Never again

Loved the kitchen for the most part. However, dishwasher can be temperamental and freezer doesn't necessarily keep items such as ice cream frozen. The pool and pool area was nice. We enjoyed being out there. Maintenance is a must for now and in the future regarding this house. Wouldn't rent again. Sorry.

Ok for older place

A window was left open so the AC was freaking out on arrival. Floors were sticky and pool was dirty. The place is large but there really isn't anywhere to gather. If you have a bunch of people they wont have anywhere to sit besides their needs.

Very awful

Was very displeased about the place. The place wasn't even close to what was on the internet. Need lots of work 😫 😪 😩 hope to get a refund. Didn't stay because the it was awful 😕 found a better place on the beach.

I would have given this home 2 stars, but because Vacasa did refund part of our money, I chose 3 stars. This home should not be rented out until updates are completed. The pool, which was the main reason for renting this home, was not operational. It appeared to not have been used/cleaned/maintained for months. I contacted Vacasa upon check-in regarding this issue; however, no one came to look at the pool until the day before check-out. The pool deck area was also in shambles and had not been cared for in some time either.The home is run down, and while I accept that older homes have issues and can provide a sense of charm, this home needs serious attention. There were broken dining room chairs; the stove had a light that would not turn off; the walls need to be cleaned and painted; the door on the upstairs breezeway appeared to have been torn off and leaning against the house; outlets need to be secured to the wall (my husband fixed one to avoid any potential accidents); the AC unit needs to be upgraded; and the dishwasher needs to be replaced.Having noted all of the above, the home does have positive attributes. The location is amazing! The drive to shopping and restaurants/Highway 17 was very convenient. The beach access was so very close that our boys were able to go without us having a lot of worries. The home accommodates a large amount of people, easily accommodated my husband, four teenage boys, our two clients, and myself easily. It is pet friendly!!

Some issues

Grill was nasty (had to rig something up bc I wouldn’t feed my dog off the grill) most cooking pots n pans were gross and not enough variety to cook on, AIR CONDITIIONING DIDNT WORK. the thermostat kept say that the cooling is not working bc it’s been in cool fur 4 hours and the temp is rising, place was not the cleanest (bottle tops, bags, cans, broken pool toys laying around everywhere. Place is too crammed w furniture. Couldn’t move in the kitchen area not open the fridge if we were sitting at the table. Tons of long nasty hair in the pool that wasn’t ours!!

The property was misrepresented in several material ways, negatively impacting our stay and rendering certain amenities unusable. Specifically, the issues included: 1. Unsafe and Unusable Pool – The listing prominently featured a private pool as a key amenity. Upon arrival, the pool was found to be filled with algae, murky, and clearly unmaintained. It posed both a safety hazard and a public health concern, making it completely unusable until the last night of our stay. (Even at this time it was still murky and slightly green). This property failed to provide a core amenity as advertised and may violate local public health ordinances. 2. Misrepresented Backyard and Unusable Outdoor Space – The listing stated that the backyard was suitable for hosting gatherings such as a BBQ. In reality, the yard was significantly smaller than shown in the listing photos and was poorly maintained, an absolutely filthy grill (so full of grease that it leaked onto the ground near the barbecue), uneven ground, and debris. The condition of the landscaping rendered the space unsuitable for the intended use and contradicted the expectations reasonably set by the listing’s descriptions and images. These misrepresentations affected our ability to enjoy the property as intended and planned, particularly because the outdoor amenities were a primary reason for booking this rental.  This rental was for our wedding party's lodging and was designed to be our rehearsal dinner's location.  We were left frantically looking for an alternative location.  Weddings only happen once in a lifetime, and we invested countless hours and dollars preparing.  Being in a last-minute logistical dilemma caused me great financial and emotional distress. We made good-faith arrangements based on the listing, and the property's failure to meet those representations resulted in both economic and experiential loss. Attempts to address these issues during the stay were made as I messaged Vrbo support who stated “I’m sorry to hear the pool water isn’t looking its best. When the water is green and cloudy, it typically requires some maintenance before it’s safe to swim. For your safety, I suggest not using the pool until our local team can take a look. I’ll alert them immediately to investigate and resolve the issue as soon as possible.” However, to my knowledge there was no support staff who came to maintenance the pool, nor was there any further contact from VRBO support to ensure the issue was resolved. I hope that in the future people who pay to stay here can receive the rental in better condition than I did.
