Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this cute and centrally-located home! There is a large open green space right beside the home that runs throughout the neighborhood and downtown Star is within a few minutes walk of the home. The backyard is great for family fun, BBQ'ing and hanging out. The beds are of the highest quality and the bedding is super comfy! 5 minute drive to the Boise River Green Belt!!

Wonderful place to stay, such comfy beds & bedding; immaculate and well-appointed home. Perfect place for us to stay while awaiting the birth of a grandchild in Star. So nice to stay in a one-story home with no stairs, and close to family. 5 min drive to Albertsons & Starbucks. Planning to stay there again in the future!

This was an absolutely perfect home away from home, so cute! We were here visiting family, location was convenient and close to anything you might need. Walks on the greenbelt were very relaxing.The home is so inviting and comfortable. We cooked the whole time we were here, and really enjoyed the BBQ! Thank you for the best experience ever!10/10

Thank you for being our guests, Douglas! We hope you were still able to enjoy the home as so many others have. In lieu of a formal rental agreement, and due to some prior short term rental guests not respecting property and safety considerations, we need to have house rules to help protect our own liability and also to protect the property to ensure it is well kept for future renters. While it may not be every renter, we do need to plan and be prepared to have certain things clearly stated. We hope you can understand the sensitive nature of opening up our home and neighborhood/community to others. If there are ever any concerns we would be happy to discuss.

Wonderful Home, very well equipped and clean!!

We were in town for the Firebird Raceway Halloween Classic, we loved this property as it was easy to access and very clean, well stocked and very cozy for evening relaxing! Will stay again for sure, as it is only 10 minutes form the Raceway in Eagle.

This VRBO rental was first class all the ay. Greta location, awesome host and a very clean rental to stay in. We are very happy with our stay and would do it again if in the area.

Good location

This property was well stocked, maintained and clean. We enjoyed the outdoor covered patio. The location worked well for multiple wedding related activities in Meridian and Eagle. We had great communication with hosts and no issues or problems.

Lovely Get Away

We were in Idaho for a memorial service. We need a quiet place with enclosed backyard for two young children. The sweet patio was wonderful! The owner was easy to work with and helpful when I made a mistake in my registration. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect home to entertain our Idaho friends

We came to Star, ID to visit 4 different couples who live in the area. Since we didn't rent a car, they each came on different days to the house and visited with us. This was the perfect home to hang out, BBQ, play games and enjoy relaxing. We completely enjoyed our stay.

Would rent again. Easy access off major streets.Close to family. Quick response when help needed. No dishwasher soap available. Door to backyard difficult. Clean house.

Thank you for being our guest. We did have dishwasher soap, not sure where the confusion was in finding that. So sorry. Also, for future renters, please note the backdoor handle doesn't have a lock, so instead it has a security bar that simply one needs to be raised and lowered. It is resting horizontally across the sliding glass door at about 4-5 feet high. It can indeed be raised and lowered with ease and is within reasonable sight.

Comfortable visit in Star

The property is on a quiet street right in town, and is nicely furnished and comfortable. The check in process was very easy and the property manager was responsive. We had a plumbing issue, and it was clear from the situation that the prior guests had also had problems. But they were responsive and sent a plumber the next day. Overall I would recommend the property.

Prompt short stay

Ian was very responsive. Allowed us to check in a bit early. We didn't really spend much time at the house just slept and drank our a.m. coffee. Made breakfast once. We traveled 4 hours, my brother in law and wife traveled 16 hours and another brother in law and his son 7 hours. It was a hot sweaty and beautiful day so it was very nice to freshen up for the ocassion. We would dedinitely recommend this place.

Nice location - Will try to stay next time we are in town

I chose this property because it only had one floor and my elderly parents could get around easy. It has a great floor plan. We were also able to create a family dinner that stayed within my father's special needs and accommodate a group. We did not get to spend much time on the back patio, but it is set up well. My only concern was the towels. I would have preferred to have extra hand towels for each bathroom, and access to a cleaning cloth for spills on the floor. It appeared as though someone in the past had used the wash clothes for cleaning up a spill. I would most certainly recommend this property, and am looking forward to staying there in the future

House not cleaned on arrival

After a long day of driving, we showed up at the house 1 hour and 15 minutes early with two elderly parents. I called and text the owner and asked if we could access the property a little early so we could get settled for the evening. We were told no because the cleaning lady was still at the house getting the house ready for our stay. We were standing outside the house and it was locked up and nobody was inside cleaning. The last time I checked even hotels do early check in when your room is ready. Once access was allowed at exactly 4:00PM, we found the house was not cleaned properly. The kitchen counters were not cleaned and the floors were not mopped or vacuumed. Both bathrooms were not cleaned, and we found human hair in the shower, around the sink and on the floors. We contacted the owner and a cleaning lady was sent out within an hour to finish the job, which is not how we wanted to spend our evening. The owner agreed to compensate us for the cleaning fee.

Dear future renters, it needs to be specified that this was a total fluke incident and our cleaner had an emergency which pulled her away in the middle of her cleaning, and then she was unable to return in time prior to check in. Of course, this is a most unfortunate circumstance, and I would also be very unhappy if I arrived to a rental and it wasn't clean. Nonetheless, we want you all to know it was a total rare fluke occurrence due to emergency. We were immediately responsive to the first point of contact from the disgruntled guests and we offered the cleaning fee to be refunded immediately. We also contacted our cleaner right away and found out what happened, and then we sent someone else who returned shortly after check in to finish cleaning. We were so very sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment. Regarding early check in, we are not a hotel. Short term rentals are a different scenario and it is difficult to offer early check ins when we have a same day flip. We always try to accommodate this request whenever we can. Some short term rental owners even charge an added fee for an early check in, as do some hotels. We don't add an extra charge when we are able to extend that bonus. But, we just can't always offer an early check in, unless the home can be ready.
