huge condo

The condo was huge and had everything we needed. The view was exceptional and we saw dolphins every day. Walked to restaurants on the beach and couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Local staff 5 stars other Vacasa customer service 0 stars

Vacasa 5 star for local property manager EJ and Ricky maintenance. The local staff were the only positive interaction I had with Vacasa. All phone numbers are routed to out of state/country call centers. They could not answer question, offered to contact local management, and call back. They did not call back even after several calls. They will not connect you with local management. If Vacasa agrees to something, have them send email confirmation even if it is a service they have offered you in the past. Unit The unit is beautiful. The couch and bed were comfortable. The balcony was large with several seating options. Problems Two of the four sliding doors had handles missing. There was no way to turn on fireplace. There were not enough dishes and flatware. (6 cups, dull knives etc.) Although hair dryers were listed on amenities there were none in the entire unit. In the front two bedrooms the ceiling fan/light fixtures had several problems. Fan and lights used same switch so the remote was necessary to control them. Neither remote had batteries. Ricky replaced batteries, only 1 worked. The one that worked controlled both fan/light units in both bedrooms. If you used the remote to turn on the light/fan in one room the light/fan in the other room also came on. One of the heating units in the condo did not work. Problems were loose breaker and broken thermostat. One of the smoke detectors did not have a battery. Several of the electric plugs did not work.

Great Condo

We have rented many times in Gulf Shores, including at the Collonades, and this condo was the best because of the amount of space it had and extra bathrooms. The only downside that we noticed was that the sheets did not fit the beds. Every time you would get into the bed the sheet and the mattress cover would come off, so they need deep fitted sheets for deep mattresses. There also needs to be a few rugs because of the sand especially in the entryway and maybe bathrooms or next to beds so we had to lay the few towels that they were out to catch the sand, other than that the place was great the kitchen probably needs to be stocked a little bit better, but we will definitely be back

Nicer unit but....

Nice size and nicely furnished unit. Our issues were: Check in was supposed to be at 4PM we arrived at 430PM to find housekeeping barley started. They finally finished at 645PM. Place advertises occupancy at 15 there were FIVE forks. Bad GFCI at kitchen sink left all receptacles on left side of kitchen counter inoperable. Flapper in hall bath toilet tank needs replaced it never fills or stops running.

Family Vacay

Overall the property was good but 5 of the 7 beds only had sheets, no spreads or blankets. I called to ask for blankets and they just brought more sheets. We had 8 adults and 2 young children all with different sleep comfort needs. Several of us had a miserable first night and then had to go buy blankets. For the money we paid that was ridiculous..
