We hope that the new beach chairs and beach towels we dropped off added to your enjoyment, and that the air conditioning units installed kept you cool during the hottest days of summer. Please note that you secured a reservation at a discounted promotional rate, so you actually paid 25% less than the currently listed price. $825/nt for five bedrooms and 12 guests is an incredible value, especially compared to local hotels. Nevertheless, we’d like to take this opportunity to address each of the concerns you raised: The oven is not listed as an amenity, but is provided for our guests' convenience (just like the air conditioning units), and the oven comes with a functional broil setting. Prior to your arrival, a technician determined that the part needed to repair the bake setting is no longer in production, so the only solution is to replace the entire unit and possibly modify the counter, which was unfortunately impossible to do prior to your arrival. The dishwasher is also not listed as an amenity. However, it's a brand-new unit that malfunctioned just before your stay. Despite repeated attempts to get the one authorized repairman on the island to address the problem, the repairman was unresponsive. The manufacturer finally agreed to replace the defective unit and we hope to have the replacement installed before the next guests arrive. We apologize for the oversight of listing exercise equipment (that had once been available, but suffered from use and abuse from previous guests). We've since corrected the listing. A locksmith has also since repaired the deadbolt. Had you mentioned anything about the outdoor seating, we would have reassured you that, though they may appear aged, these pieces are made of teak - a highly durable material meant for Kaua`i's weather. The chirping of birds and wake-up calls from the roosters are the sounds of nature that are a part of Kaua`i. You'll have to take up those grievances with the island. We thank you again for your comments as we always strive to improve and to exceed expectations, even when faced with the unique challenges of maintaining a home on a remote island.

Thank you for staying with us. We work hard to make our guests happy and appreciate your feedback. We are truly sorry about the electrical issue in the master while using the AC unit. Unfortunately, the issue with the power circuit was out of our control but have contacted an electrician for further diagnosis. The electrician reported all electrical breakers check out, but the AC unit is fairly strong considering this is an older home. The unit must have been the reason for overloading the breaker. Hopefully, the fans and opening the louvered windows helped circulate the breeze inside. Regarding the spa, we are working closely with a technician to repair the hot tub to make sure that our future guests have a memorable stay and experience. We take all your feedback very seriously and use them to improve our service. We hope to see you again soon.
