Ok so generally I do not leave comments, but this one deserves it. The Host was absolutely amazing. She communicated quickly and made check in very easy. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed in the kitchen for cooking purposes. We did an event for my MIL 70th birthday and it was spacious. The centerpiece on the table helps give it an elegant touch. I loved that each room had its own code for privacy and bathrooms on each floor. The basement apartment was nice and I loved that it had its own exit. I would definitely rent again!!

Away for two nights for my nieces wedding. 11 of us, 2 families, so much space! Perfect distance from the venue! We had a great time and couldnā€™t have asked for a better set up!

The host was very responsive. The house met our needs with plenty of room for our large group to sleep, eat, and visit. I especially liked not having to worry about using the space to visit with other out of town guests while we were there! The neighborhood was as described in previous reviews. The street we were on was very quiet and we had no problems whatsoever during our stay, the downstairs apartment was perfect for the young family that traveled with us. It allowed for out of the way naps and early bedtimes. Thanks to the host!

Great stay!

This place is super spacious! The pictures donā€™t do it justice. It comfortably accommodated my friends and I for my birthday weekend! The location was iffy but you step in the house and it feels like youā€™re somewhere else. I left my pretty expensive sunglasses there and Kisha kindly mailed them back to me with no issue. I would stay here again!

Great House

We had girls weekend with 5 woman the neighborhood was a little sketchy but there is a gate to get in to park and once inside the house was beautiful we all had our own rooms with queen or king beds and one room had 2 queens and large living room and dining table. The owners reached out and were amazing

Nice House

We had a very nice time on this trip and the house was very nice and spacious. The one thing I would suggest is to hire a more thorough cleaning crew as there were some spots that were missed. Overall great experience and I would recommend to others.

Pretty Good Stay

Property was clean and as advertised. Lots of bedrooms. Kitchen was good, but quality of utensils left something to be desired. Felt like an investment property, and not in a great way. Neighborhood is fair, so seemed a bit pricey. Still, lots of bedrooms and so serves a purpose for larger groups who need to be near New Haven

Great Property

Nice house, clean and as described. Much of the hullabaloo about the neighborhood is a bit overblown. Fair Haven is a bit crunchy, but at no point did any of us feel unsafe or have any problems. Sure, donā€™t book the house is youā€™re looking for a suburban paradise. But the house itself was immaculate and very close to the key points on interest in New Haven. Very happy with our choice!

The property is beautiful and very modern. The area is not very safe. A person was arrested in front of the place. Another person was sitting in front of the property all night. The property is very well taken care off. All update appliances.

The perfect home for the holiday...

This property was just perfect for Thanksgiving. It was clean, spacious and equipped with everything we needed to prepare and serve our family for the holiday. The home was easy to locate, close to the local bakery, restaurants, and grocery store. Property manager responded quickly to questions. The only thing I think this property needed was blinds up to the windows. Everytime we looked out of the windows it seemed as if someone was looking in. We enjoyed ourselves and is considering renting again in the summer or next Thanksgiving.

Large space

I needed a large space for my bridesmaids to stay and get our makeup done for the wedding and have a casual rehearsal dinner. This house was perfect. The neighborhood looks a little sketchy but we had no problems at all. Didnā€™t hear any noise. The only thing that I would say is that the couches were a little worn and could use a good shampooing. The floors also werenā€™t very clean. After walking around our socks were black. I would still recommend this house for large groups.

TerrIble neighborhood

The neighborhood was a terrible lots of noise during the night and did not feel safe. Gun shots early one and racing cars during the night. Street gangs walking the streets AC do not work and washer dryer not working.

A good space to stay but not posh

We enjoyed it and would book it again. Full disclosure ā€“ we were 5 male Yalies in our 50s in town for the football game and without our wives/gfs. For us, it was everything we wanted, clean, with plenty of bedrooms, good space, a big living room, two updated showers, and a dining room for all. The pros: room to park several cars in the narrow drive plus ample parking on the street, an easy Uber/Lyft to Yale/Yale Bowl, beds and linen were reasonable, big TV in living room (I think all bedrooms had TVs), big couches in which to sit and gab, within walking distance of grocery and liquor store, plus a bakery that sold coffee and empanadas for breakfast. The cons: in a working class/Puerto Rican neighborhood (we liked it and never felt unsafe but some might), utilitarian but not luxurious or fancy, some of the lights/AC units/outlets are hooked to extension cords under the bed, the code arrived just about 4 pm and not 1 hour before as promised. Would we go back? Absolutely. Would we book it with our wives/gfs? Probably not.

Home is as described

The home was as described. Very spacious and enough bedrooms for our group. It does include most of everything you would need. The only thing we would say it lacked (that we noticed) was a full size mirror. There were only two small mirrors in the bathrooms above sinks. We were in town for a wedding and were disappointed we couldnā€™t get a good look at ourselves. We also had problems with AC on the first floor and host attempted to help via messages, but it did not work. The neighborhood may seem sketchy in appearance, but we had no problems with anything in neighborhood and were able to park in driveway safely. Host was responsive throughout our stay with any questions we had. Lastly, overall the house was ok in cleanliness, definitely could have better cleaning/maintenance.

The neighbor is rough and the house was dirty and sticky

The first 2 hours we were here we had to wipe off all the surfaces, chairs, handrail and doorknobs with Clorox wipes, because they were all sticky! Then I swept and mopped all the floors because you could see the dirt on them and they were sticky! My comforter had stains on it so I washed it to make sure it was clean before using it. This isnā€™t the first review complaining about cleanliness, the neighborhood, or the broken central air unit. There are multiple window units all through the house and they keep it cool but itā€™s loud! Any of the locals we talked to and told where we were staying said it was the rough section of town! I was prompted by Vrbo 2 days before our trip to check on being able to get in when we got there. The host messaged back that Iā€™d get the check in information 1hr before our stay started which was ok with me, but I had to message her 20 minutes before check in time to get the information! The house was big enough for a large group and it had all the amenities, also we had no issues with the neighbors it was just loud street races cop sirens and bass booming cars! The off street parking was nice with room for 4-5 cars but you can only get out doors on one side because itā€™s that tight.
