Enjoy a lower unit apartment/home where you have easy access to a dock for a boat, kayak, paddle board and sunbathing. This two bedroom, full bath unit has brand new kitchen, comfortable greatroom and outside patio not more than 125 yards from the shore. Wonderful view from the living room and kitchen. Owner lives above and is available to take care of all your needs. This is a quiet, cozy and very private location that is perfect for coffee on the dock in the mornings and a glass of wine in the evenings.

We had a nice stay at the house that was conveniently located near events we had planned for the weekend. The home was comfortable and nicely stocked with essentials like coffee.

Great Stay

This property was clean and had everything needed for a short business stay in the area. Owners were great with communication and left us alone for the duration of the stay. It’s located in a good central location if you’re looking to get around the area easily to food, shopping, etc.

Great stay right on lake.

This was just minutes away from family having a get together. It was nice to be able to get away & have a quiet place to wind down. The lake was beautiful even after a significant amount of rain right before we arrived. Cozy, yet roomy. Our flight had been delayed & Tony had even checked on us to be sure all was ok. That was sweet. 😊 Would stay again & highly recommend.

lakeside retreat

This was a lovely place to stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the relaxing view of the lake at all times of the day. The neighborhood is quiet and great for taking a walk. It was too cold to go in the water or enjoy time on the dock....but it was broken and could not have been accessed anyway. The owner lives above the apartment, and we could hear footsteps, coughing, and some TV, but it was not annoying. Communication with the owner was prompt and courteous. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall I would give this place a 5 star rating. You could hear the walking above occasionally and there were a few stained bathroom ceiling tiles but it was very homey and comfortable. The house was equipped with everything you would need and then some. The host can even provided coffee and real creamer. Great location close to restaurants, stores and gas station. You can’t beat that lake view in the morning drinking a cup of coffee. The host was awesome and was quick to respond and communicate.

Short stay

Everything was fine especially for the price. A great place for a small family, husband/wife and maybe one child. The only problem we had was the steepness of the walkway to the boat dock and this bothered my wife simply because she has had both of her knees replaced and they began to ache her after we got back. The only other problem was that we had to leave early because of the tropical storm that blew through Atlanta and we couldn't complete the last two days of our trip. Otherwise it was a great place to stay and a great trip.

Tony - our host - did it right.

Tony has set up an amazing place to chill at the lake, go fishing, relax, watch the sunrise and enjoy some comfortable peace and quiet. I have been here a couple times now and have to say it is a gem; affordable and Tony is a fantastic host. This past weekend the storms hit and power was out for most of the area. He proactively gave us options on our stay. We choose to stay and that was the best decision for us. Tony cares. The place is awesome. Highly recommend.

False advertising/avoid this property

The property is old & needs some TLC. They advertise a picture of a dock on the lake but the the dock is dilapidated and partially under water. You can’t safely access the dock & get in the water. The water is disgusting and I wouldn’t wade through it. The owner lives above the property and he never once came down to introduce himself or show his face. That’s sketch to me. He also makes a lot of noise overhead, walking around. Him walking around makes it impossible to sleep in and have a quiet week.

I’m so sorry you were less than satisfied with my place. I appreciate your feedback. I wish you would have stepped on the dock at least once and you would have seen for yourself how sturdy the dock is and how beautiful the lake is. Also, rarely do I introduce myself to my guests. I try to give them all the privacy they want. Everyone is different however, and I should keep that in mind. I did however recommend a couple restaurants for your wife’s birthday dinner and I did come down in an attempt to introduce myself. That’s when I left a bottle of wine and a birthday card for Shelley. Lastly, I certainly don’t believe I am advertising falsely and I’m sorry to hear someone thinks I am.

Safety issues

I gave this property a 1 star cause there were safety issues and concerns. The door does not lock. There is a dead bolt but no key to it. We tried many times to lock the door but we couldn’t. The owner lives upstairs but never mentioned he has a dog. You can hear the dog walking and barking at times. The next morning the dog must have smelled our food and he pushed open the door with his head and entered the room. This happened twice. Also the door did not lock from the inside as well as the outside. The dock is caving in on the right side. We couldn’t swim in the lake since the metal stairs from the dock are full if cobb webs. The porch is dirty and there are old mops and cleaning buckets there. The toilet leaks some water from the base after flushing. There are other minor issues that we closed our eyes to but the door not locking was a major concern for us. He does provide coffee but its a lower quality. We were just not happy with our stay.

There are scammers everywhere, and I’m sorry to say this is one of them. Truth is there is nothing wrong with my place. It’s super clean and safe. I offer immediate service and would have addressed any of this had them brought it to me, but it’s all made up. They wanted to pay for only an overnight because they were passing through. I’m a two night minimum. Almost every VRBO is. So, they paid for two night and then did this two get a complete refund. What you’re seeing is either frustration and/or an appeal to VRBO to sway them. VRBO, however won’t let them get away because I have a long history of good review. Even on air BNB.
