Nice room, accurately described, wonderful location on the beach. My family stayed here for 4 nights and the room and building were perfect. The host was great with communicating to us and with a quick response time. Thank you Shelia for everything and we would definitely recommend this place to everyone looking to enjoy the beach!! Would stay again anytime!

Our stay was pretty poor, over all. The host was pretty good with communication whenever we first got there. We had to call her to get the door code and she was prompt in answering and kind. Whenever we first arrived things looked decent. As we began the get settled and really look at things, we were discouraged to find mold growing on the ceiling in the bedroom (there’s no way cleaning staff wasn’t aware being that it was VERY visible) We messaged the host expressing our concern but unfortunately got no response. I found some mold and mildew remover under the sink and cleaned it as thoroughly as I could. Being that it was very visible, it’s concerning to me that this wasn’t addressed by the cleaning team. I sent the host 2 messages explaining that we had pictures of the before and after and that it needed to be taken care of. We had our 2 small children on this trip and mold exposure can be horrible for anyone. There were a few milder issues but not worth really complaining about. I wouldn’t recommend this property for families, and I would definitely be sure to inquire about the mold before booking. We’re not high maintenance, and I’m not one to voice a complaint unless it’s genuine and fair to do so. I’m sure this issue isn’t due to the host, but we did make her aware.

Review: Monterey Bay Suites – Extremely DisappointedI rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at Monterey Bay Suites in Myrtle Beach was incredibly disappointing and needs to be shared. While the beds were made and clean towels were available, the overall cleanliness and condition of the room were completely unacceptable.The air conditioning unit had 3 to 4 inches of visible dirt and buildup—a clear health concern and a sign of poor maintenance. The couch was absolutely filthy and sunken to the point that you nearly hit the floor when you sat down. I had to cover it with a sheet just to feel comfortable sitting on it. This furniture is long overdue for replacement.The ceilings showed signs of mold, and it looked like someone attempted to clean it but instead left black swirls of dirt and mold residue—it was both disturbing and disgusting. The walls were visibly dirty, adding to the sense of neglect throughout the unit.I’ve added photos to support everything I’m describing—because it truly has to be seen to be believed. This room is in desperate need of a complete overhaul and professional inspection.For a property that promotes itself as a beachfront getaway, this level of disrepair is unacceptable. I will not be returning and do not recommend staying here until significant improvements are made.

Oceanfront Bliss

The facility is located directly on the beach. Very clean, spacious, amazing views and parking available on site. Our room was just as described and Shelia was wonderful to work with. There are laundry services available on site for your linens they provided. There are beach chairs available for a small fee directly on the beach so we didn’t have to travel with all the extras. My son and I enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.
