No expense was spared in this mansion featuring one of the largest master bedroom suites with over 2500 sq ft of luxurious living space themed with a Venetian finish and European brick flooring. They stay at this house was great! Plenty of room for our entire group to be comfortable, and the master shower was awesome!Only problem was the fridge in the kitchen was not cold at all our entire stay, but the one in the garage worked perfectly! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bear Cabin with a beautiful view of Lake Colby. The cabin was decorated very nicely with lots of bear motif. Having access to a variety of boats (canoes, kayaks and row boats) was much appreciated. The Adirondack chairs outside were perfect for watching the sunset. The walls in the bedrooms do not go all the way to the ceiling, and thus the lighting from the living room and kitchen area can be a bit distracting for those people who like to sleep in or go to bed really late. The hosts were very accommodating and responded quickly to my inquiries. All in all it was a wonderful getaway.

Plenty of space!

I read reviews that said the house could use some TLC, and I agree. Carpets need shampooed, baseboards need touched up, etc. But, for our group, it provided all the space we needed for an overnight retreat!

I wanted to let you know that we have a schedule for regular maintenance, and the carpets are shampooed the first week of every month to ensure cleanliness and comfort for all our guests. We will also make sure to address the baseboards and any other areas that need attention. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve the experience for future guests. Big House

This house was perfect for our reunion. It held our families comfortably and we weren't on top of each other. It was wide and open and the kitchen was spacious which made it easy for multiple people to work in it. We rarely saw the children because there were so many fun things for the kids to do. It is easy to get to a store and The Gathering Place - a local park- was a blast. The beds were comfortable and we would totally book it again.

Great place!

Beautiful mansion & property! Owner was quick to respond to questions/needs. Kids loved all the great hiding places, game room, ping-point table, basketball, etc. Conveniently located for groceries & other necessities. Fun hiking at Turkey Mountain about 10-15 min away. Only downside was it’s next to a well-traveled 2-lane road, which could be loud at times. But overall a great place to stay! We were glad to find a place large enough for all 20 of us, with plenty of beds to sleep in & lots of room to spread out.
