Easy Lakefront Access w/Dock, Firepit, & Mtn Views for Family Fun!

Fantastic lake and mountain views with a level walk to the water make this the summer place to enjoy family and friends! Private lakefront home in a gated community offering a comfy upscale lodge atmosphere with great views from inside and out. Easy walk out to enjoy the fire pit and private dock. Spend time on the deck or under the covered seating areas.
Water equipment is included for family fun: paddleboards, canoe, and paddleboat. Boat rentals are available on Lake james and the host can provide that information if needed. Boat trailers are not allowed to be parked in the driveways, if you bring a boat, you will need to secure off site parking. The manager can send you information on a location and costs. Hot tub not open or available.

The layout is great for larger families, or 2 families coming together to visit. The main level has plenty of entertaining space with a large beamed living room with lovely views of the lake and fireplace, on either side of the living room is even more space to spread out. The large kitchen has a round dining table and also a bar. Great for preparing meals and just hanging out to play games and talk. On the other side is the sun room with lots of cozy seating and TV for movie night. The master bedroom and bath are on the main level, along with a half bath off the entry and kitchen.

The upper level offers 3 more bedrooms, each with their own attached baths. Everyone gets their own space here!

On the wing off the kitchen is another small sitting area, the laundry room which has a double stack and another half bath. Take the stairs from here up to the bunk room, which the kids will love! There are 4 sets of bunks (2 twin and 2 double), a sitting area with TV, and a large bath. You may never see them again.

We have Direct TV on some of the TVs and others are connected to WIFI for your streaming apps. The Network and password are located on the modem and posted in the home.

I am sure that you will be spending most of your time outside enjoying the views and water, but we have plenty of space for everyone to feel at home. There is also a small putting green out front, and a basketball goal.

We are located in the Foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and close to Pisgah National Forest, so you are lucky to be surrounded by mountains and water. The closest town is Marion on the McDowell side, and the City of Morganton on the Burke side. Both are up and coming with an active downtown where you can enjoy local shops, dining, breweries and wine shops. Other area attractions include: Biltmore House, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls, Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk are just an hour away. Our area is also becoming famous for hiking trails such as the Fonta Flora Trail that will one day cover Lake James, Nebo, and into the Asheville area. Ask the host about more things to see and do.

Just in case you need to know, there are 2 major airports nearby. Asheville is 45 mins away and Charlotte is 75 mins.
Our area also has affiliations with 2 hospital systems, UNC Healthcare on the Burke side, and Mission Health on the McDowell side.

We are in a private gated community and all owners and guests are expected to follow the rules below:
1- No loud noise disturbances
2- No vehicles parked on the sides of the street or curbs
3- No fireworks
4- No groups that exceed the septic permit (10 in this case)
5- You must observe the no wake zones inside coves
6- You must observe the speed limits posted
