Faeya Grove - Charming Family Getaway! Remodeled, short drive to Russian River.

Faeya Grove is named for the Russian word for “Fairy” and our beautiful redwood groves. Newly remodeled with family vacations in mind, you’ll love the updated kitchen and bathrooms as your family adventures throughout Sonoma County and unwinds at the house. Comfortable beds, high speed wifi, a designated workspace, and room for the kids to play, Faeya Grove is also an ideal location to work remotely.

Built on a rare double lot, you have ample room to explore and meditate in your own patch of curated redwood forest. You’ll love the many seating areas including seasonal hammock chairs suspended between two young, but towering, redwood trees. The distinctive view from each bench will have you posting enviable photos!

Faeya Grove is the perfect home base for wine tasting, visiting the river, or retreating with your family.


Know Before You Book:

Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Faeya Grove is 4 people. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time.

Parking: There is parking for 2 cars in the main driveway – in front of the house – and an additional car in the side driveway. Both driveways are gravel lined. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance.

Bed Sizes: Master bedroom: Queen bed, Second bedroom: 2 Twin beds.

Heat Source: Each room has electric baseboard heaters plus a woodstove in the living room (no firewood or kindling provided).

Location: Faeya Grove is located in a residential neighborhood with narrow and steep, in sections, roads. You do not need 4WD, but please slow for blind turns and oncoming traffic.

Stairs: There is one flight of stairs from the parking area in the driveway to the front door and areas of hillside and some stairs in the yard.

Fencing: The main yard is fully fenced.

Seasonal Amenities: The hammock chairs are only available in fair weather and may be put away for the winter.

Common Amenities not included: This home does not have Air Conditioning, but under the trees you won’t miss it.

Proximity to wineries: The closest winery is Moshin Vineyards, approx. 3 miles from the house. There are many tasting rooms within 10 minutes of Faeya Grove.

Nearest River Beach: Mother’s Beach is the nearest public river beach approx. 0.6 miles (3 minutes) by car.

Nearest Ocean Beach: The coastal beaches in Jenner are the closest to the house at 19 miles.

Great Russian River getaway

Convenient spot for a Russian River get-away

We enjoyed our stay because this was a convenient home base as we took day trips to the River, Armstrong Redwoods, and Jenner. The kitchen, bedrooms, and baths are well-equipped making it easy to relax after a day out and about. We also enjoyed eating on the patio. The home helped make for a wonderful trip!

Enjoyable stsy

The house was clean, comfortable and nicely updated. It’s in the woods and was very quiet for nighttime sleeping. The entire process from reserving, check in, and check out was smooth and very easy! We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend.

Great little cottage!

Our stay at Faeya Grove was just what we needed. It was a very clean, well stocked, safe little cottage that allowed us to recharge our batteries and enjoy each others company. The kids enjoyed playing the games provided and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. It was a great experience.

It’s a cute cabin in the middle of a redwood stand., but it’s a windy, narrow, and steep road to get to the place. We were happy we arrived in the daylight. Once there it was enjoyable with a nice deck to sit outside.

Clean, spacious place. Loved the outdoor grounds and indoor games/entertainment for the toddler. We were comfortable throughout our stay— just know that there are skylights in all bedrooms, so everyone will be up with the sun.

A great week in the middle of it all. Minutes to the best of the Russian River wineries, the beautiful coast. The property was just as pictured, comfortable, excellent sound systems and appliances. Faeya Grove is gorgeous

Make sure that you fill out the information that is sent from Russian River Properties. Booking on VRBO is not enough. The property is beautiful, a bit hard to get to, but once your there, just gorgeous. It was the perfect spot for us.

Perfect spot for a special trip to wine country!

Absolutely loved this house nestled in the redwoods. It was secluded enough to pretend that you’re hiding from the rest of the world, yet close enough to the highway that we easily get to wherever we wanted to be without having to spend hours on the road. The interior of the house had everything we needed, including a full kitchen which we used to make a yummy meal to accompany a really nice bottle of wine we found on our adventures. We hope to make it back before another 25 years passes by!

Absolutely Amazing!

The house is gorgeous! The location is absolutely amazing. Very quiet neighborhood, the house is kind of hidden but easy to find. It is surrounded by trees, and has lots of shade. The only remark we had is that cleaning lady came at 11am when the checkout is at 12pm. So we felt a bit rushed. Other than that, we highly recommend this property.

Russian river adventures

The house was in a beautiful redwood grove and had all the amenities we needed and more. It was beautifully updated with new appliances and furnishings. Our only small complaint was even though the skylights were beautiful and it was magical looking up in to the redwoods…the light coming through at sunrise was a little too early on vacation. Maybe some kind of retractable shades or something… Other than that it was a great place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay

Very nice place to hang out for a few days! The house was pretty clean (we have high standards) and definitely comfortable. The road is narrow and winding. The neighbors were very nice and welcoming, although a bit noisy as they were working on their deck - understandable since this is a neighborhood. We only wished they would've stopped the sanding and blowing in the evening on Sunday night, instead of continuing on until after dark. It was difficult to have windows/doors open to smell the beautiful redwoods and mountain air.

In the redwoods

House was perfect size for four people. It was close to the Russian River Valley and many wineries which was the reason for our trip. The location in the redwoods was peaceful. Although a little tricky to find in the dark. Amenities provided and kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dinner ware and spices/condiments. More houses across the street than anticipated. And dogs barking. Since we had two couples, a queen/king bed in the second bedroom would have been preferred, however, we knew what we were booking.

Great get-a-way in the redwoods

We four ladies had a great time in this charming home on the hillside amidst the redwood forest. There were neighbors right across the street but they were quiet and it is a very peaceful beautiful place to stay. We enjoyed our early evening glasses of wine out on the deck or in the yard. Healdsburg, Forestville and Guerneville are close by and easy to get to. Korbel Winery is just up the road a few miles and we had a delightful champagne tasting and lunch there. River access is also nearby. The only thing I would have liked was a few more bath towels and washcloths. Otherwise, completely delightful stay!

Great House, Hard to find

We arrived by airline, rented a car and had to find it at dusk - I had a hard time finding the front door and entered through the back gate which came first on the road. I don't remember anything about this in the directions. When I called the number the person I spoke to acted like maybe someone could come help me get in - but then I did get in on my own. I didn't feel taken care of at the moment, but then it ended up being a great house for a small family. Central to lots of fun river activities!

California Trip

Stayed in this house April 19 to April 26. It worked for the two of us and areas we wanted to visit are convenient. I drive in backroad conditions often but some visitors may feel concerned navigating uphill narrow roads, often one lane and rough pavement, and blind turns to reach the property. It's worth it, the Redwood Grove is beautiful though. Master bedroom is comfortable, especially the mattress. All appliances we used worked. There was always too much light in the room with too beds even just after daybreak but we did not use that room. Master has skylights and is a little better because of overhead tree cover. Some ability to control the skylight light would be good in both rooms. Seems like there are limited options to watch TV if not signing in with your own Netflix/Amazon/Hulu account. Not our focus. Takes several minutes for hot water to reach the master bath shower. Compared many properties and this one was competitive, and the deciding factor was where we would be travelling while in the area. Thank-You, we would stay with you again.
