La Tegolaia is an enchanting 12 acre country Estate, with a private swimming pool overlooking the Florence Valley. The beautiful 700sq meter colonica house is filled with antiques with a sophisticated charm that is hard to find.

Ideally located: It's hilltop position is surrounded by vineyards and offers stunning views of the countryside as well as shopping opportunities: just 25km/15mi from the musea of Florence city center and 10km/6mi from the biggest Luxury brands outlet park of Italy: "The Mall" at Leccio.

Deluxe amenities: 7 newly installed air-conditioned bedrooms, a fantastic modern kitchen, and an extensive meticulously maintained garden, 4 dining places and and two outside dining terraces with a genuine Tuscan stone pizza oven make this a perfect spot in the hills just east of the historic city.

Several out buildings provide eco friendly electricity, heat and water by newly installed solar panels, heat pumps and underground water collecting systems.

Property has been designed very well to grant the needs on every step of your holiday. Electricity sockets everywhere, quiet spots under the trees etc with tablec etc....amazing. As our company loved to cook, the kitchen was one of the dream ones. Our whole company who stayed there, rated the location, the house, the amenities on a very high score. So far, it was the best property ever, we have stayed on!!! Big thanks for that! Beautifully maintained garden and plants everywhere made you feel fantastic not even talking of the pool that allowed to dive. We will definitely come back in the future!

It was our first experience renting a villa in Tuscany. We couldn't have asked for a better lifetime memory. Everything was perfect. Tiziano and Lucia are the most wonderful caretakers and are doing a fabulous job. Nella our chef was outstanding and a wonderful person. We had amazing two dinners that she and her helper cooked for us. The kids truly enjoyed playing soccer with the dog. All in all one of the most memorable experience of our lives!! Thank you!

Such a beautiful home set in stunning countryside. Hard to leave it! Firstly we were lucky enough to be welcomed by the owners and their lovely grand daughter. They were very welcoming and had even left us some food and wine because it was a Sunday with no stores open. This was a thoughtful and much appreciated touch. The house has been lovingly restored and retains its character which we loved. All bedrooms were lovely and because of the age of the house if you keep the shutters closed for parts of the day it remained cool. The bedrooms ALL have air conditioning but we didn’t use it very much as it wasn’t necessary. The pool area was fab with lots of loungers and pool towels. This is the nicest house we have stayed in and couldn’t recommend it more!

Tegolaia - what a "Bijou"

We (8 - 10 people, 2 children) spent two wonderful weeks at "Tegolaia". The house, the landscape, the surroundings and the pool are fantastic. The perfect place for relaxation. The house offers a variety of places where you can retreat. The house and the surroundings are very well maintained. Pizza oven and barbecue ring are perfect. Shopping, train, wine tasting are nearby. There are also restaurants in the area. A car is a must. Absolutely recommendable. We would love to come back.

Great potential. Great disappointment.

A beautiful property in a charming location. But wantonly misrepresented. We of course knew it would be hot in August and were glad to find La Tegolaia had enough bedrooms to suit our needs and included "Deluxe amenities: newly installed air-conditioned bedrooms...". And that is true but for the notable EXCEPTION of the Master Bedroom on the third floor of what is referred to as "the tower". A lovely room to be sure, but the focus of all the hot air rising from the rest of the house in 95-100 degree weather, despite closing the doors at both ends of the stairway, shuttering the windows during the day, and the efforts of 2 twelve-inch oscillating fans. It was extremely uncomfortable to say the very least. Adding insult to injury, the owner knew that there is no AC in that bedroom but never stated so in the description of amenities, until adding a "6" to the now "Deluxe amenities: 6 newly installed air-conditioned bedrooms...". one week after we departed. And even as of today Essential Amenities includes: "Air conditioning Every bedroom has a unit installed, best way to keep a cool room is to close the windows and shutters during the day." We have the screen shots. Several other inaccuracies: no microwave or spa whirlpool. Charged for pre-existing damage we did not cause, though we are promised a refund. Other residents occupying 2 other apartments in the house, not mentioned in description. You have a choice. In our case this turned out not to have been the best.

We bought this villa nearly ten years ago with one simple dream: to create a place where our family could spend long summer holidays together in the heart of Tuscany. From the very beginning, this house was meant to be lived in, shared, and enjoyed—not just admired.

Over the years, we carefully renovated the villa to raise the standard of living while preserving everything that gives it its authentic Tuscan and Italian character. Traditional materials, original details, and the timeless architecture were respected and restored, while modern comforts were thoughtfully integrated to make everyday life easy and enjoyable. The goal was never to transform the villa into something new, but to allow it to evolve naturally, staying true to its history and soul.

Because this has always been our family home, every space was designed with comfort, warmth, and togetherness in mind. The seven bedrooms allow everyone to have privacy, while generous communal areas invite long meals, conversations that last late into the evening, and relaxed days spent together. It is a villa made for real living—whether that means cooking with local ingredients, opening the windows to the countryside air, or simply slowing down and enjoying the rhythm of Tuscany.

Set in Pelago, near Florence, the villa offers the best of both worlds: easy access to Tuscany’s most beautiful historic cities and the peace of the countryside that first made us fall in love with this place. After a decade of family memories, we are delighted to share our home with guests who value authenticity, comfort, and the unique feeling of a house that has truly been loved.
