40 year reunion in Loire Valley

We really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful Villa. Ideal accommodation for our 2 extended families. We all loved the pool and visit to your Domaine plus nearby chateaux.

Fabulous stay

Gorgeous villa , wonderful garden and pool. A little disappointed that pool had doors over it as broken so made it very hot. Owners charming. Montrichard is a very nice town. Would benefit from more outside( plastic) crockery and a bit more garden furniture as if the house was fully occupied were bit short on loungers and had to move furniture out of pool area as too hot to sit in. But overall an excellent stay

Great big house for a mixed group

A big group of us were staying in the Loire Valley to attend a wedding - three couples, two solo friends, and three grandparents and two children belonging to one of the couples. The house was big enough that we were able to keep from feeling totally on top of one another, and though wedding amenities kept us from spending evenings at the house, many of us enjoyed the pool and hot tub, appreciated the washing machine, and we cooked breakfast in the well-appointed kitchen. Valerie was a very responsive host, and did everything to make our stay more enjoyable. We also appreciated that she speaks very good English, as many of us did not speak much French. Finally, the town of Montrichard is really adorable. There are a handful of good restaurants and boulangeries - though, fair warning, it's France, which means that nearly every business but the Carrefour Express takes a long lunch break. The house is right on the river Cher, which flows beneath the spectacular Chateau Chenonceau, just a 15-minute drive away.

Wonderful house in a beautiful location overlooking the Loire river

We had a fantastic week at Villa Castalie. The kids were in the pool at least 3 times a day! There were 13 of us and I think every one of us wanted to return to stay at the house next year! The house is very well designed and spacious, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you could need. Villa Castalie overlooks the Loire River and it is also located just a few minutes’ walk from the pretty Montrichard town centre where you can find plenty of shops to buy everything from fresh baguettes to oat milk. There is, five minutes’ walk away, a lovely beach area created by the river for kids to swim in and play in the sand. There are also some fun rides and things for kids to do, as well as hire pedalos, canoes and paddle boards. Situated there, is also a lovely cafe that serves great food and drinks. We did walks along the river and around the towns. There are many lovely walks you can do in this area. There are also many castles and ruins you can visit. There are many activities for kids and adults. Next time we will definitely do the river cruise dinner. There are several lovely restaurants in Montrichard with the perfect ambience to while away the evening, sipping on fine wine and listening to a live band play. The food is so good, prepare to put on some weight! Valerie and Remy keep the house in an excellent condition. They are warm, kind and were available when we needed assistance. They also have a vineyard that produces some of the nicest wine we have tasted, and it is organic! A perfect holiday!

Anniversaire 50 ans

Mon séjour à la Villa Castelli a été absolument merveilleux ! L'accueil chaleureux et le service impeccable dès mon arrivée ont vraiment mis le ton pour un séjour mémorable. La villa elle-même est un joyau architectural, alliant élégance et confort dans un cadre pittoresque. Chaque chambre était spacieuse, propre et décorée avec goût, offrant une atmosphère idéale pour les célébrations de mes 50 ans. La situation géographique de la villa est également parfaite, permettant un accès facile au centre-ville. Je recommande vivement la Villa Castelli à tous ceux qui recherchent une expérience authentique et confortable.

Belle demeure mais pas à la hauteur des prestations attendues

Nous avons globalement été satisfaits par notre séjour mais quelque peu déçus par les prestations offertes par cette demeure. Etant donné le tarif (2300€ le week end), nous nous attendions à du haut de gamme ou tout du moins à du nickel. Malheureusement la propreté n'était pas au rdv (fenêtres troubles car pas propres, poussière dans les coins,...) et quelques réparations sont à prévoir (douche qui fuit à l'étage, rouille et vétusté du coin piscine, plombs qui sautent sans arrêt dans la cuisine...). Nous avons cependant passé un très bon moment dans cette maison et sa situation géographique est parfaite pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire.

Nous vous remercions de vos commentaires qui nous aident à améliorer la prestation. J'en suis surprise cependant car les commentaires de votre famille ont été à leur départ très enthousiastes sur leur week-end à la Villa. Il est vrai que nous venions de faire des travaux importants avant votre arrivée (installation d'une pompe à chaleur et de splits dans toutes les pièces) et je suis navrée que la poussière n'ait pas été enlevée dans tous les recoins comme vous l'indiquez et attendiez; c'est toujours le cas je peux vous l'assurer car nous n'avons jamais eu ce type de retours sur le ménage. Veuillez nous excuser de ces inconvénients.
