We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful historic manor in the Loire Valley. The property has so much character and was a perfect home base for exploring the nearby châteaux. Olivier and Olga were incredibly welcoming and made our stay feel special. We would absolutely recommend it and would happily stay here again.

Host was very kind and we had a great stay. Two notes: we had our kids aged 8 and 6 with us and we were nervous the whole time because there were so many fragile items in the home. Also we were lucky that the hot spell had broken as the house does not have AC (which I understand is standard in France).Overall however, it was a memorable experience at a beautiful one-of-a-kind house!

Our family of 8 stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed a delicious, local meal prepared by Olivier and Olga. The house is very charming. The beds are comfortable. We were able to prepare meals in the well equipped kitchen and enjoy them in the dining room and outside at the different tables available. One could not hope for a better experience at Olivier's place. Quiet, luxurious, safe and comfortable.The local boulangerie is one of the best we experienced during our visit to multiple regions and is within walking distance. Multiple wonderful chateau are very close to visit, the Zoo Beauval is not to be missed and Olivier is very helpful with suggestions for things to do if you want help.If you are looking for a relaxing, well-equipped, wonderful place to stay, look no further as this place meets all of the criteria.

beautiful rental property in the heart of the Loire Valley

Our family had a wonderful stay in this upscale, beautifully decorated rental property. The home dates from the 1600's and is overbrimming with history. Olivier and Olga were terrific hosts that provided amazing breakfasts during our stay. The property is conveniently located near many amazing chateaus, particularly Chenonceau.

Very unique experience! It felt as though we had stepped back in time. You truly feel like you are living in a 16th century manor complete with interesting antiques. The pool is well maintained and the kids had a great time exploring the grounds and surrounding gardens and storage/cave areas that are part of the structure.

We only stayed for 3nights at this magical manor house due to the limited availability, Myself, my husband and our two children (13 and 10) fell in love with this atmospheric property. My daughter described it as stepping into a national trust property because so much care and thought has been put into the details of the 16th century manor house. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully restored. Everything you need to cook meals and have a wonderful holiday is there at your finger tips in a compact but perfectly organised kitchen. We ate breakfast and dinner each day on the table outside under the plane trees and sat out with a glass of wine in the evening watching the fascinating little bats flying out from the caves in the neighbouring cliff. The house was cool despite the heat wave because of the cellar cut into the cliff and the thick stone walls. We enjoyed an evening dip in the heated shared pool when we came back each day and the terraces behind the neighbouring 18th century house were picture perfect. Olivier and his family were the most welcoming lovely hosts, always on hand if we needed help or advice. And the fabulous blueberry tart that Olivier gave us on our last morning made we wish we had ordered a breakfast and evening meal with them (available by arrangement). It was a place and people that captured our hearts and minds and we will definitely return.

Such a fantastic experience. Truly a historic and beautiful property. Olga and Olivier were amazing hosts. Highly recommend the custom dinner they offer(and they tailored it for several food allergies in the family). It was our family's favorite meal on the trip including in Paris! Close to all castles in the Loire Valley and also close to local beaches on the Cher River. The kids loved the pool(we all did since we were in France during the highest temperatures in French history). The town of Montrichard is so beautiful and has the last standing medieval tower/Castle on the Cher. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to feel what it is like to stay in a 16th century castle. Loved the authenic antiques and armor! Merci Olivier and Olga.

Séjour absolument remarquable ! Le manoir est magnifique, impeccablement entretenu, et offre un cadre vraiment hors du commun. Olivier est un hôte exceptionnel, chaleureux, disponible, et passionné par sa région qu'il connaît sur le bout des doigts. Grâce à lui, nous avons eu accès à des activités fantastiques qui ont rendu notre séjour encore plus mémorable.Quant à Olga, c'est une cuisinière fabuleuse. Sa quiche était un vrai délice, et tout le reste du repas était à la hauteur: généreux, savoureux et fait avec soin. On s'est sentis choyés à chaque instant. Une piscine sur place nous offre un bon moyen de se rafraîchir après les visites de la journée.Nous recommandons ce séjour sans la moindre hésitation à quiconque cherche une expérience authentique et chaleureuse, loin des sentiers battus.

Excellent séjour au manoir

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au manoir Le lieu est enchanteur et la décoration soignée Tout était fait pour que nous passions un excellent séjour et Olivier est très sympathique Merci de nous avoir indiqué les endroits à visiter et merci à Olga pour son très bon repas !! Merci également pour les muffins et pancakes très bon !! Pour résumer nous recommandons chaleureusement le lieu à découvrir
