Welcome to the Lake Burton Highlands Hideaway featuring beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain Views and sunsets from the porch. Our cabin is less than .05 miles from the Murray Cove boat ramp at Lake Burton, 10 minutes to Stonewall Creek Winery and other great dining options and 12 minutes to downtown Clayton via paved roads and highway.
This is our personal vacation home located in a residential area and as such we are best suited for relaxing mountain getaways and small family vacations. We are not lake view; there are nearby options for parking boats if needed.
The cabin has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths with an additional loft and two porches. We can accommodate 6 adults and up to four additional children for a max capacity of 10. The porches are high and there is a steep drop, please keep that in mind if you’re traveling with toddlers.
The main level has a living room with gas fireplace, large tv and fully-stocked kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one en-suite), laundry room w/ washer and dryer.
The bottom floor is the master with full bathroom and has its own porch with hot tub.
Top/third floor is the loft which is set up as a game room space and has a large tv, retro Nintendo gaming system, foosball table and giant bean bag that opens up to a queen size bed. We also have a king size air mattress available. Be advised it only fits downstairs in the master which is an oversized room.

Keypad front door access. Parking for 2-3 vehicles. Paved roads and driveway in except for a small gravel drive just before the house. 4-wheel drive not required unless snowing.
Coffee - Keuring style and regular drip pot, coffee/tea/creamer available.
Toiletries provided include mini shampoo, conditioner, body wash, make up remover and shower cap (2 days worth). Hair dryers in each bathroom.
Trash bags, laundry pods, dishwasher pods provided (2 days worth).
Kitchen stocked with pots, pans, blender, toaster, mixing bowls, all styles of glassware, and more.
We do have a few rules that help to keep our property in good shape as well as protect the privacy and peacefulness of the community:
The occupancy for overnight guests is 6 adults with an additional 4 children (under 18) allowed. Regardless of age we can not host more than 10 guests.
The property is in a residential area. Please, no excessive noise or loud music on the porches. The sound carries down the mountain and we want to be respectful of our neighbors. Quiet hrs 10pm-8am.
No smoking/vaping in house OR on porches/exterior of property. Failure to comply will result in additional fees and/forfeiture of deposit (min. $250).
Tampering with security cameras will result in additional fees. We have 3 security cameras that are all on the exterior of the property facing away from guest areas. Please ask if you need more info! Guest privacy is very important to us.
** We love animals but unfortunately can not allow bookings with pets. We do this to make sure all of our guests with allergies feel comfortable and because it's a requirement of our rental liability insurance (this includes ESAs). Service animals always welcome.

We love being close to the lake for easy access but still near enough to Clayton that we can run into town to the restaurants and shops. It's a quiet area with friendly neighbors and mostly second homes.

In our home, every bedroom has it's own bathroom so guests all feel comfortable when traveling as a group. People tell us they love the "treehouse" feel from the back porches where you can sit year round to take in the views. It's especially gorgeous at sunset.
