Fox Den Haven with Hot Tub - Serene Mtn Escape! Relax, and Unwind! Dog Friendly!
Welcome to the Fox Den Haven - enjoy fresh air, unplugged moments, and a real connection to the landscape. Our home is nestled on over 3 private wooded acres near Lake Burton. This 4-bedroom, 3-bath cabin feels like a treehouse in the treetops, surrounded by lush green foliage in spring and summer and a stunning display of color in the fall. Whether you’re here for adventure or relaxation, this home offers a quiet, cozy base for your North Georgia getaway.
Conveniently located between the charming town of Clayton and the Bavarian-style village of Helen, you’re just 25 minutes from each, with easy access to boutique shops, local restaurants, scenic wineries, and outdoor adventures like hiking, tubing, and boating.
We’ve thoughtfully outfitted our home to provide a truly cozy and welcoming experience. All beds are made with premium linens to ensure a restful night’s sleep, and you’ll find that even the essentials—like toilet paper and paper towels—are a step above the standard. We believe that small touches make a big difference.
To make your stay even more enjoyable, we’ve stocked the home with books, classic board games, corn hole, and an Xbox for entertainment, perfect for both rainy days and relaxed evenings. Downstairs, you’ll also find a convenient second full-size refrigerator in the kitchenette, great for extra food and drinks during longer stays or larger gatherings. We also provide separate towels specifically for hot tub use, so you can unwind comfortably after a day of exploring. As of Fall 2025, there will be an outdoor, wood-burning fire pit with seating available.
Inside, the updated layout includes two spacious downstairs bedrooms with king beds, a full modern bathroom, and a game room with an electric fireplace, flat-screen TV, and ping pong table. Step outside to soak in the private hot tub beneath the stars.
Upstairs, enjoy an open-concept main living space with vaulted ceilings, a stacked-stone fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. The large west/northwest-facing porch is ideal for sipping morning coffee or watching sunset skies through the trees.
The main-floor primary suite features a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with double vanities, a soaking tub, and a walk-in shower. A second guest bedroom with a king bed, a full bathroom, and a laundry room are also on the main level.
There is a tiny house, Fox Den Lookout, that can be rented for an additional fee. This is shown on the listing as being THE OFFICE, but it is not part of the main house and does need to be rented separately. It provides a full bathroom, kitchenette including mini fridge, sink, toaster oven, and cozy extra-long twin bed. Full amenities of heat, air, WiFi, and Smart TV included.
We also offer flexible sleeping options, including an air mattress, pack-n-play, and a small foldable bed—great for families or larger groups.
Dogs are welcome (up to 2; $100 PER DOG, nonrefundable fee). Please get in touch with us in advance to ensure your furry friend is a good fit.

Hello, and thank you for taking a moment to check out our cabin! I currently live in Athens, GA, but I'm originally from San Diego and Seattle. I moved to Georgia about five years ago and quickly fell in love—with the lush greenery, the slower pace of life, and the genuine southern hospitality that so many people here embody. It’s been a joy discovering all that this beautiful corner of the world has to offer, and I’m excited to share a little piece of it with you.
Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
We purchased The Fox Den Haven as a place to refill our bucket—a peaceful retreat from the chaos of everyday life. After searching for the right refuge, we fell in love with this home and its serene setting near beautiful Lake Burton.
One of the first gems we discovered was LaPrade’s Marina, just down the road. It’s a true local treasure, with multiple dining options and boat rentals that make it easy to enjoy the lake life. Just ten minutes from the cabin, you’ll also find Bleu Canoe, a cozy spot serving up delicious Cajun dishes and creative weekly specials. It’s a favorite with the locals—so don’t be surprised if there is a wait!
Exploring the nearby town of Clayton has been a joy, and I often find myself heading just across the state line into North Carolina for a bit of antiquing and scenic drives. There’s truly no shortage of things to do in the area—whether you’re into hiking, water sports, fishing, horseback riding, or simply browsing unique shops and local markets.
This home has been a gift to us, and it brings us so much joy to share it with others. I hope you find it as relaxing and restorative as I do.

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig
From the moment you arrive at the property, you're embraced by nature. The driveway winds through a canopy of trees, wrapping the home in lush greenery during the warmer months. In the fall, that green transforms into a breathtaking tapestry of reds, golds, and burnt orange—it’s truly magical.
Just a short stroll from the house is a peaceful trail/road, perfect for stretching your legs or letting your pups enjoy a little adventure. The whole property feels incredibly serene. Every time I walk through the front door, I feel the stress of the outside world melt away.
As this is our personal home, we’ve put a lot of love into it—updating the upstairs bedrooms with new flooring, adding fresh shiplap and warm lighting, and completing the downstairs level in 2024 to create even more inviting space. we’ve also taken care to stock the kitchen with tools and equipment for cooks of all kinds—it’s a great space to make and share meals.
And if you’re lucky, you just might spot some of the local wildlife. We’ve had visits from deer, wild turkeys, and even the occasional bear or bobcat…always from a safe distance, of course!
