It was ok

This property was close to town so that made it nice! Lots of homeless walking into town just FYI The condo was ok… it wasn’t cleaned very good and had cockroaches which I get it’s an island but still icky! We notified management about the cleanliness and so hopefully for the next guests it will be. Our neighbors were quiet so that was nice.

This was an excellent place to stay on big island and I highly recommend it. The apartment itself has everything you could want for your stay and communication with the management company was seamless and their responses were prompt to any questions we had. also, the location was great since you could have access to the roads that go north, south or east relatively easily to get around the island.

Great place, very well-equiped

It was a great experience. I think there could be a drawing or anything similar to better identify the unit's location inside the building complex. In addition, even though the place was very clean, a cockroach showed up in the bathroom and no insecticide was available on the unit ... considering it's a hard thing to avoid in Hawaii's weather conditions (humidity, temperatures, etc), an insecticide would be a great way to deal with it when it happens.

A 5 minute walk to the beach at king Kamehameha hotel on Ali’i with many historical sites, restaurants and shops nearby. Very laid back and quiet area. Nice clean pool with propane grills for outdoor cooking. Very responsive and friendly management company. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating utensils, ice maker in fridge, chairs for the beach, a rain umbrella, blender, coolers to bring to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

We were so happy with the location of this property. It was so nice to be right in town and be able to walk to the wharf and shops. The place was clean, had everything we needed plus all the beach stuff, which was great! The kids loved the pool. It was the perfect place for our visit. We would definitely stay here again!

This property is comfortable, clean and spacious. It's is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, cooler, fridge, microwave, oven, coffee pot etc. It is in a great, walkable location to restaurants, shops and the ocean. You have your own parking space too. It's a little walk to the condo, but not bad. This is a gem. I would stay again, and highly recommend.

The apartment was overall comfortable but the bed/linens were old and not clean. The bed frame was dusty However, the management company was receptive and corrected some of the complaints. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our 9-day stay at the large and centrally located condo in Kona. A short drive from the airport (and Costco that had gas for ~$.75 less per gallon), the condo has a lovely portico, large living room with open kitchen, and very comfortable bedroom and bed, as well as a bathroom with plenty of space for 2 to store toiletries. Kona was a short walk from the condo has numerous restaurants, shops and beach. The owners provided beach chairs, beach towels and a small cooler which we used daily on our excursions to various beach locations (Kona, Mauna Kea lovely white sand beach, Punalu'u black sand beach, Kaloko-Honokohau beach with turtles just feet away in shallow water, and Kahalu’u beach for amazing snorkeling). We loved visiting Volcano National Park, several waterfalls, breakfast at Hawaiian Style Cafe in Waimea, night snorkel excursion with the Manta Rays (highlight of our trip!), Pu'uhonua O Honaunau Refuge Park and bake shop is a must stop, visit to Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation (don't miss out on the nature walk in the Cloud Forest or petting Margie, the cat), Original Hawaiian Chocolate Factory tour, Mona Loa (don’t miss the sunset views from a mountain across from the visitors center or more stars than I have ever seen at night). We were also able to “hitch a ride” to the top for stunning views of the island. After a busy day of visiting the sites around the island, we really enjoyed time by the pool a couple of evenings where we could use the grill and were welcomed by neighbors in the community who graciously gave us recommendations on places to go in Kona (our favorite was Don the Beachcomber Happy Hour with a gorgeous view and Poke Nachos) and the rest of the island. We also looked forward to the welcome of the wonderful neighborhood cat, Mauser, who with a little encouragement would snuggle up against my stretched-out legs on the lounge chair. Gorgeous scenery everywhere! Truly a trip of a lifetime.

Great location for the price

We loved staying within walking distance of all the restaurants and shopping. Our condo did have a big mess on the back porch but the management company addressed it. We had an issue with being accused of checking in early but the error was on their side and they fixed it immediately. We did notice the screen door doesn’t stay shut unless you lock it, so walking in with your hands full can be challenging. My only suggestion would be to have a normal size frying pan. The one there now is very small, too small for even two people.
