This third floor unit of Kona Plaza is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath property that has an incredible ocean view & has the best location in all of Kona Plaza. Unit#302 sleeps 4 & features a Queen Sized Bed & a Pull out Sofa. Split Air Conditioning in the living room & bedroom! Wifi Access, Washer/Dryer, Fully Equipped Kitchen with Quartz Countertops, Elevator Access & Underground covered parking!
There is a HUGE lanai/balcony for your comfort. Relax & watch all of the exciting activity in the heart of Ali'i Drive below. (Cruise ships, sight-seeing boats, outrigger canoes, and fishing boats---All can be watched from this gem of a Lanai.) Kona Village closes down by 9:00 PM, so after nine the only thing you will hear from the Lanai are the ocean waves.
This perfectly located gem has everything you need for a stay of a few days or several months. This is the type of location you actually would not have to have a car in Kona.
Inside walls between units are 12 inch thick concrete which makes this condo very quite and peaceful. This unit has everything you need for a fun stay.
Kona Plaza Condominium Complex has a great pool with lounge chairs & 2 BBQ decks with great views of the ocean/mountain.

The location was great!! Close to all the shopping, restaurants, beach and pier. The was photograph of the view was bit deceiving. You will get the water view, but you will also get a view of a very ugly rooftop too! The amenities were great: Two ice chests, two portable beach chairs as well as beach towels, this was so nice. The ability to lock yourself out on the lanai should be corrected by the owner, instead of putting up a warning sign that you will be charged if you get locked out.

Regarding the view, the unit does offer an ocean view as shown in the photos, though views can vary slightly depending on where you’re standing on the lanai and surrounding buildings in the area. We appreciate your perspective and will review the listing photos to ensure they accurately represent what guests can expect.
Thank you as well for mentioning the lanai door. The sign is there simply as a precaution since the door can lock if closed from the outside, and locksmith call-outs on the island can be very costly. That said, we will share your suggestion with the owner to see if there may be a better long-term solution.

Property was as described with a fully stocked kitchen, a washer/dryer, comfortable bed and a view of the ocean from the balcony. It was a great location in the middle of downtown making it easy to walk to multiple stores and restaurants. The property was very clean and communication with the property management company was easy with quick responses. The only downside was a musty smell.

This property is a perfect location in the heart of Kona! We were here for 2 weeks and this was a great base for sightseeing and relaxing. You could stay here without a car and walk to shopping, restaurants and beaches.We rented a car because we wanted to drive to several locations on the island. There is an underground parking garage and elevators. It has a beautiful view of the water from the balcony to enjoy morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset. Knutson & Assoc were amazing to work with from the beginning of our rental process. Their instructions were clear and easy to follow. They checked in on us after arrival to make sure we had everything we needed. I can't say enough nice things about Knutson! Thank you for a great vacation!

Knutson Is Awesome!
The property is managed by a great local real estate company. The unit is extremely clean, everything is perfect, and the person we had staying in there loved it. There's no need for a rental car since it's right in Kailua town, but the ability to park a car is easy. Parking lot going through some construction, but that didn't affect anything. Would highly recommend any unit through Knutson!

Door to the patio was left open with AC off, so the room was 90F when we arrived.Main A/C does not work but we were not told that up front. Instead there is one small AC in the main room and one in the bedroom. The remotes did not initially turn them on and instead they had to be manually turned on at the unit. Normal expectation would be for the A/C to be on at least at 80F prior to arrival with the patio door closed.Pool was closed but we weren't told until 2 days before arrival. No discount offered and the alternative provide was a public pool (give me a break!).Parking garage is a construction zone with lots of support scaffolding. Makes you wonder if the building was in danger of collapsing.It was not made clear where the best place to park is. Given there are two different elevators parking location is important.The elevator requires a key to get down to the parking level but only to go down and only to the basement level. First and most importantly, we apologize that the lanai/patio door was found open with the A/C off, causing the unit to be uncomfortably warm at check-in. That is not the standard we aim for, and we have addressed this with our team to ensure the home is properly secured and pre-cooled prior to guest arrivals moving forward.
Regarding the air conditioning, we understand your frustration. The unit is equipped with separate A/C systems (one in the living area and one in the bedroom), and we agree the operation should have been clear and seamless from the start. We will be inspecting the remotes, confirming proper functionality, and updating our guest instructions so it’s easy to use without needing manual operation.
We also apologize for the inconvenience of the pool closure and the short notice. Unfortunately, pool access and building maintenance items are controlled by the HOA/building management and can change with limited warning. That said, we understand how important amenities are when planning a stay, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

The condo was very clean and tidy upon arrival. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony for meals we cooked using the well-equipped kitchen. We could walk out of the back of the building on to the main tourist street where there are restaurants, shops, and attractions. We were able to park in the garage although it was under renovation and lacked sufficient lighting. Beware that the building HOA has onerous stipulations reinforced by stiff financial penalties ($100-$200) concerning parking, parking pass display, registration, key loss,and lanai appearance. The condo managers at Knutson do however constantly remind you of the rules and fines. It helps to avoid being fined I admit, but I felt we were living in a police state. Knutson was fine but I had difficulty understanding some of the billing practices. I was told the bill auto-populated and charged me for renter's insurance I did not request. Watch out for the 3% credit card fee too.

Apartamento bem equipado, com cozinha completa, máquina de lavar e secar roupa. A limpeza estava ok. Check-in e check-out rápidos e eficientes. Vista para a Kailua Bay (vista pòr do sol). Não pudemos acessar a piscina, pois estrou em reforma 1 dia depois da nossa chegada.
