Known for its adorable beach cottages in a rainbow of pastels, Crystal Beach is probably the most sought after vacation location in Okaloosa County. Scenic 98 curves past a unique blend of beach homes and hot spots like The Crab Trap -- a tourist favorite! The clouds never seem to hang over Crystal Beach and the sugar white sands appear to shine a little brighter here.

Crystal Beach is also home to Destin Commons, an outdoor lifestyle center with restaurants, boutiques, Rave motion pictures and a Bass Pro Shop. It’s often the epicenter of Destin with outdoor musical productions, dog costume contests and fun activities for kids like dancing water fountains and a bungee trampoline.

Walk to the beach!! Opal Beach House is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest beach access point. Crystal Beach is a very walkable and bicycle-friendly area, so enjoy the fresh ocean air as you explore the area.

We aim to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful memories with family and friends in our amazing house. For us to do so, we would truly appreciate it if you can follow these house rules. Thank you in advance and we truly appreciate your cooperation!

GENERAL. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. Check-out is at 10:00 a.m. The cleaning service often has a short time between guests to get the house ready for the next guest, so there will be a $50 fee for anyone who has not checked-out by that time. All trash must be removed from the house prior to checking out and placed in the appropriate trash bin. Guests are responsible for placing the trash bins out for pickup during their stay (details provided with check-in instructions). No trash should be placed outside of the bins. Absolutely no smoking inside the house. $500 extra cleaning fee will be assessed. No pets allowed. Please wash your dishes after use. Please load the dishwasher with any dirty dishwasher-friendly dishes and start the dishwasher prior to departure (our cleaners will unload the clean dishes). Any non-dishwasher friendly dishes should be washed and put away prior to departure. Maximum of 14 guests. If you have more than 14 guests, there will be a fee of $75 per extra person or you may be asked to vacate the house immediately with no refund. Please make sure to lock all doors and windows to the house upon checking out. Keep noise to a minimum after 10pm to be respectful of neighboring houses - Opal Beach House is in a residential community and quiet hours will be strictly enforced. Parking is provided on the driveway in front of the garage. Cars should park side by side and not extend out into the road or block the sidewalk. There is NO street parking available. Our driveway is suitable for up to 3 or 4 vehicles, depending on size. No boats, trailers, recreational vehicles, RVs, self-propelled motor homes or similar vehicles may be parked in the driveway. Please return all accessories and remotes to their rightful places at the end of your stay. Please do not rearrange the furniture. If you would like to host an event (i.e. wedding, graduation), please speak with us about it first. Absolutely no parties. If guests are found to have had a party without host permission which results in extra cleaning, guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges and in the unfortunate event of the disruptions alerting neighbors, guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately without refund. If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately. Please acknowledge that occasionally, we may leave consumables, such as condiments, left behind by previous guests if they are not empty. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. However, ultimately, it is up to the guests’ discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.

BBQ GRILL. Guests are responsible for bringing their own propane tank or refilling the tank located at the house. Feel free to use the BBQ grill outside that is set up for our guests’ leisure use only. Please clean up after yourselves and keep the grill clean. We ask that you either use aluminum foil to cover the grill or scrape the grill after each use. Please make sure the grill is off after each use (all knobs turned to the off position). Please make sure propane is also turned off (rotate clockwise until all the way tightened).

POOL. The safety of our guests is our top priority! Please follow all posted signs in the pool area. Guests under the age of 18 should have adult supervision at all times while using the pool. No diving. No jumping from any structure or piece of furniture. No running around the pool area. No glass or food in the pool. Guests may bring food in the pool area so long as it is kept outside of the pool itself.

Overall, we simply ask that you please be respectful of the cabin and keep it clean before you leave.
