Sonnige, gemütliche Wohnung im Herzen von Alfama, dem ältesten und malerischsten Viertel im Zentrum von Lissabon.
Die Wohnung (32 m²) befindet sich im zweiten Stock eines typischen Alfama-Hauses aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. Es gibt keinen Aufzug.
Viel Sonne am Tag und kühl zum Schlafen in der Nacht im Sommer. Schlaf 3. Neu renoviert im alten portugiesischen Stil. Ein kleiner Balkon blickt auf die kleinen Straßen dieses alten Viertels.
Sehr praktisch zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Zum Castelo Sao Jorge sind es zu Fuß nur 5 Minuten, zum berühmten Feira da Ladra (Flohmarkt) 3 Minuten und zum Fluss Tejo 3 Minuten. Restaurants mit Sitzgelegenheiten und Blick auf den Fluss Tejo. Und Sie können Lissabon mit der bezaubernden, malerischen elektrischen Straßenbahn Nr. 28 erkunden, die nur 1 Gehminute von der Wohnung entfernt ist. Zur neuen U-Bahn-Station in Sta. Apolonia Bahnhof. (Lissabons Hauptterminal) Im Bahnhof befindet sich ein Pingo Doce Supermarkt, der bis 22 Uhr geöffnet ist. Sehr praktisch!
Das Parken in Alfama (meiner Nachbarschaft) ist auf Anwohner beschränkt, die Autos besitzen. Es gibt also keine Parkplätze für Gäste. Es gibt verschiedene öffentliche Parkplätze in der Nähe - ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß
In der Nachbarschaft finden Sie viele authentische Fado-Häuser, das Fado-Museum, Cafés und Restaurants. Alfama ist der älteste Teil der Stadt mit winzigen Straßen, die es zu entdecken gilt.
Die Wohnung bietet Platz für insgesamt 3 Personen. Hat ausgezeichnete Wi-Fi. Es verfügt über ein kleines separates Schlafzimmer mit einem Doppelbett (für 2 Personen), ein sonniges Wohnzimmer mit einem Doppelschlafsofa und einem Esstisch. Eine komplette Küche mit Kaffeemaschine, Gasherd, Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, Toaster, Waschmaschine und Wasserkocher. (kein Ofen)
Die Wohnung. ist mit Kabel-TV ausgestattet (Englisch + Französisch, CNN, BBC, Portugiesisch und andere Sprachen und viele Filmkanäle). Ein Badezimmer mit Dusche. Haartrockner.

** Beachten Sie bei "extrem großen" Personen, dass die Decken in Bad und Küche nicht besonders hoch sind. Es könnte unbequem sein.

Im Winter wird die Wohnung mit Elektroheizungen beheizt und es gibt Ventilatoren für die Sommerkühlung. Ich habe einen sehr verantwortungsbewussten Manager, der bei Problemen oder Fragen zur Seite steht.

Dieses Apartment befindet sich am Fluss und liegt in der Gegend Altstadt von Lissabon, einem Stadtviertel von Lissabon. Catedral Sé Patriarcal und Castelo de São Jorge gehören zu den wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wer auch die Natur der Region bewundern möchte, sollte Folgendes besuchen: Strand von Costa da Caparica und Praia de Carcavelos. Great location!

Very clean. Perfect for the two of us. Ellie is a great hostess and very communicative. The narrow stairs are well lit for carrying up your suitcase. The window locations and fans cooled the rooms down nicely for sleeping. Kitchen seemed to be well stocked, we used the fridge to keep water cold, but otherwise ate out. We loved this location. We explored the city by foot, tram and metro. Great restaurants, markets and views all around. We would definitely stay here again.

Ellie's apartment was clean, comfortable, in a fantastic location. Ellie was an excellent host, and went above and beyond the norm, she asked and listened to my plans and was very helpful in her directions and recommendation. If you want a taste of Lisbon history, this is an excellent place to stay.

Vibrant and full of life!

The Alfama is legendary and what way to experience this vibrancy other than staying in the heart of it?Ellie was a very gracious host making sure that we were comfortable and happy. The accommodation was exactly as advertised. The stairs are not for the faint of heart but the owner makes that very clear before hand. The neighborhood can be a little noisy but it was an Easter long weekend so that also is to be expected. I would stay there again - absolutely! Thank you, Ellie!

Perfect holiday home in old town of Lisbon

We enjoyed recovering in the cosy flat after walking through the wonderful city all day long. Quiet as the street is too narrow for cars. Close to a popular view point, many sights and to means of public transport. Ellie is a perfect, warm-hearted host who is extremely helpful before and during the holiday.

Lovely host, communicative and open. Excellent location in the Alfama district of Lisbon. Kitchen very well equipped with a lot of cooking utensils and the basics. Bathroom well equipped, clean and with a lot of towels. We recommend to park your car at the cruise terminal (using telpark, for 8 euros per day) and to take a bolt cab (4-6 euros) to the flat. Great Alfama Location

Located on the second floor of an old Alfama building, this is a great location to experience a real Portuguese neighbourhood. It is also close to the rail/bus/tram routes which makes it a great base to explore. Ellie was a great host and we loved staying there. Thanks for everything!

Amazing location and lovely host!!

My friend and I stayed in Lisbon for the first time and this apartment is the ideal location! It is very walkable with many restaurants around and close to the city. Metro and buses are also an easy walk away from the apartment. Ellie was an amazing host with great communication and the check in process was very easy. She was also very helpful with letting us know things about transportation and the city of Lisbon. Would highly recommend staying here!

Ellie is an extremely gracious host and did her best to be flexible to accommodate me. Slight mix-up at check in because I didn't get data in timely fashion (carrier's issue). Very accurate description of the location and hilly nature - if you are fit, is quite easy to navigate to use subway system.

A beautiful apartment in Alfama

I had a wonderful time staying at Elli’s apartment in Alfama. It was very clean and Elli was a wonderful host, giving suggestions on restaurants and things to do! It was really easy to get around on foot from the apartment as center city Lisbon is about a ten minute walk away! All in all, a wonderful experience and I would definitely stay again!

Cozy Apartment in a Great Location

We stayed here four nights - it was a great location. There were many restaurants very close by. We went to hear musicians singing Fado and playing guitars right in the neighborhood. Ellie was great - she answered all our emails promptly, met us at the apartment, and gave us good recommendations. We had a wonderful time!

Great location as a base to explore Lisbon.

Nice tidy suite in the heart of one of Lisbon’s oldest nieghbourhoods. Close to the excellent Lisbon Metro as well as regional trains. Ellie was a gracious and very helpful host who always had time to answer our questions, and with advice and direction on places we wanted to visit. Highly recommended. This is a hilly neighbourhood and we definitely managed to get our exercise during our stay.

Great location. Loved Old Lisbon.

Location was perfect. Walkable distance from everything in Old Lisbon. Ellie was very thorough and informative and was easy to communicate with. The apartment is very cute, simple, and “old”, on the second floor, be sure you can walk up and down stairs. The trolleys came in handy to check out other areas and Uber is fast, easy, and inexpensive to/from almost everywhere. Highly recommended.

Small but Inviting

We loved the location. Ellie met us down the road from the apartment, where the taxi dropped us off for check-in. The apartment had everything we needed and more. We used the small market, that is just steps away, the first night for some basics. We ate at several of the small outdoor restaurants in the neighborhood. Yes, the stairs are narrow and delicate because of their age but this is a treasure we will always remember. We would love to stay again.

Cute apartment in an older building. We were there during a hot spell and a/c would have been nice as the fans could not cool down the bedroom. Perhaps not for the infirm as the two flghts of stairs are quite steep. Alfama is a wonderful area with many attractions. Uber is fast and plentiful. All in all, we had a pleasant experience.

Quaint and Comfortable

The apartment is in an old building in the Alfama district, close to Santa Apolonia Station, and Ellie met us in the street nearby to take us to it. It is light and airy, with three good size windows overlooking a small Placa. It is very comfortable, with a good size well-equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. Two small mini-markets are very close by. Ellie is a great communicator and took time to show us around the apartment and point out some of the important aspects. We had a great time staying there and can highly reconmment it.

Only young people should stay here

Beds were not comfortable, no closets to put away clothes, stairs were dangerous, this apartment is more suitable to only 1 or 2 young people. Hot water was very finicky . No couch or place to sit as the futon was made into a bed. Great location and host was in communique as she lives in the same apartment complex. Neighborhood was noisy.

I have been hosting here in Lisbon since 2007. I am very proud of Alfama, this old and beautiful neighborhood and I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the city with visitors. I live on the top floor of the same building and I am available to answer any questions you may have.

Lisbon is a very charming old world city. It has lots of outdoor cafes on every street. The art, music and food of Portugal is found in abundance in Lisbon, the capital. I chose the Alfama neighborhood because of its ancient feel, tiny streets with very few cars, people who have lived there for many generations keeping their old traditions. You are in the city and at the same time in a tiny village with an atmosphere of another time. I am a painter and find the city beautiful and inspiring.

The apartment is 10 minute walk to the downtown center, a 3 minute walk to the River Tejo, the large river that runs through Lisbon to the Atlantic. It is a short trip to Estoril beaches by public transport. The # 28 Electrico (tram) which is one minute walk from the door, takes you on an enchanting ride through the tiny streets and hills across Lisbon. You don't need a car in Lisbon, public transport and taxis are very abundant and not expensive. Lisbon is a 'secret' city that lives on it's own time. Portuguese people revere their quality of life, which I have found emphasizes eating good fresh food (excellent fish) and drinking the wines of the country, which is another wonderful discovery.
