Welcome to Hale Kona Kai 213, a true and absolute oceanfront Kona vacation condo with large wrap around lanai (balcony), affording almost 4 times the lanai space of other condos at Hale Kona Kai. Year round sunsets can be seen from your condo for the best chance to see our famous Kona Green Flash. This lanai just about hangs over the ocean. View the tide pools and lagoon where turtles like to swim and eat. Let the sounds of the sea lull you to sleep after your day of sightseeing or relaxing. Both bedroom and living room face the sea where you may see dolphins all year and whales when in season. Central air for those warm days after hiking and swimming.

AIR CONDITIONING UPDATE - January 2026
In the late fall of 2025, the central air conditioning system at Hale Kona Kai was replaced. The HVAC equipment that services the individual condo was also inspected, with and any and all required maintenance/repairs completed. The air conditioning is in peak condition at this time.

This one-bedroom, one-bathroom condo comfortably accommodates two guests, featuring a luxurious king-sized bed that promises restful nights. The ambiance is enhanced by a wraparound lanai, where you can sip your morning coffee while soaking in the serene ocean views.

Hale Kona Kai 213 is equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking basics, a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker, allowing you to prepare meals with ease. The condo in was well furnished, clean, and perfect for two people. The extensive use of mirrors made the living areas feel larger. We loved the wraparound lanai right above the ocean which was very private. Car parking was convenient. The condo is within an easy walk to restaurants.

Living on the Lanai

We enjoyed our stay in this ocean front condo. The lanai and views are spectacular and that is where we spent most of our time while in the condo. Kitchen was well equipped and my husband appreciated the bag of coffee beans for fresh coffee each morning. The AC worked great for the August humidity and the lanai had great breezes to enjoy daily. We would definitely rent again if we plan another visit to Hawaii.

Perfect location for Walking to Kona Downtown

Easy walk to Kona downtown, covered parking, corner unit ON the ocean, with breaking waves below, Large deck. The kitchen is well stocked, King bed. The only downside is the bathroom is small, but we will stay here again.

Great location

It was a great vacation, staying at Hale Kona Kai worked out perfectly. Great location, clean and comfortable. Spent most of the time on the deck enjoying the breeze and sounds of the ocean surf. Many thanks to Tracy for all her help. Tracy does a great job as manager, always available, helpful, and very pleasant.

mahallo for your input, The lights in the kitchen were addressed thanks for your input. Someone did not put dimmable bulbs in by error. New stove/oven is on order, there is nothing wrong with the one in place but we think this new one will better serve our guests. Fridge and Dishwasher are pretty new. We hope you will return.
