The Prairie Rose Cabin is a luxurious lodge nestled in the woods of Hocking Hills on 57 acres of private acreage while still remaining close to Logan restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The cabin boasts 1 comfortable bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a comfortable living space, and a beautiful kitchen. Traveling is a breeze when you stay with us as the lodge is fully equipped with great amenities. Property offers game room, outdoor hot tub, fire pit, and hiking trails. State Parks, lakes, canoe & kayaking, ziplining and so much more all located within a short distance from the property.
Relax, stargaze, or spend some quality time out by the campfire with family and friends. 10 minutes down the road, guests will find Lake Logan which offers an abundance of relaxation by the water. Take a 15-20 minute drive from your cabin to visit Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle’s Hollow, or Rock Bridge located in Hocking Hills State Park. No matter the season, you and your guests won’t be disappointed when visiting all the beauty Hocking Hills offers!

The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Logan or Nelsonville’s Historic Square Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. On the opposite side of Nelsonville is Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends.

What a beautiful cabin! It was insanely secluded yet close to everything you needed. We loved how the hikes were easy to get to, but we were super close to dining options and stores.Other reviews mentioned some uncomfortable furniture but the living room furniture has been replaced since the photos were taken! It was super comfy. Overall, zero complaints!

The Prairie Rose Cabin was an excellent choice for our stay. Cabin was clean and a perfect private getaway for us and our two dogs, Teddy and Trixie. Local hiking trails with beautiful scenery was a great way to relax and get some much needed relaxation from the hustle and bustle from the cities.We are looking forward to coming back to enjoy the areas treasures. PS the hot tub was a great way to relax our muscles after hacking.

The cabin needs a complete overhaul. It should be shut down for a very, very deep cleaning. Microwave was not cleaned, sliders didn't work, screens ripped, very uncomfortable mattress, no storage/closet for clothes, floor was unswept under the cabinets, dust bunnies under the bed, bathtub and bathroom sink did not drain properly, lamp shades/lamps very dusty, didn't turn ceiling fans on because there is so much dust on the blades and the slider door tracks are filthy. We did appreciate the good, hot water and conveniently located to Logan.

Cabin was cute and served its purpose. Furniture needs upgrading. I did not like that they communicate through email and not through VRBO and some “rules” were only in the list they send after you book. It did not affect our stay or the cabin but wish all communication was through the app and upfront.

The cabin was lovely. When we arrived after dark the day before Christmas, the fire was burning and the Christmas tree was lit. It was very sweet. Nice quiet location accessible to Logan and Hocking Hills State Park. Perfect space for two people. Nice amenities (kitchen nicely stocked, hot tub, pet friendly). I'd definitely stay there again (and bring my 4-wheel drive rather than my mini-van!).

Great cabin for a short stay for 2 people. Very private. I didnt think the hill/driveway was as crazy as some of the other reviewers made it seem. Firepit could use a little work to keep it from beinf a mud pit/water hole when it rains. I will likely be back yearly.

Quiet Getaway

Was a great place to unwind for a few days, easy access to hiking trails nearby. Cabin was clean and cozy.

If you are looking for a beautiful getaway in the Hocking Hills, our Prairie Rose Cabin is the perfect destination for you and your guests. Relax in our Rustic Cabin in the Woods with all the amenities of Home. Forest Edge offers 1-Bedrooms, Full Bath, Satellite TV, Fireplace, WiFi, Hot Tub and a shared pond. Close to all major attractions, yet deep in the edge of the forest.


Relax, stargaze, or spend some quality time out by the campfire with family and friends. 10 minutes down the road, guests will find Lake Logan which offers an abundance of relaxation by the water. Take a 15-20 minute drive from your cabin to visit Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Rock House, Conkle's Hollow, or Rock Bridge located in Hocking Hills State Park. No matter the season, you and your guests won't be disappointed when visiting all the beauty Hocking Hills offers!


The Prairie Rose is located 5 miles from Logan and 12 miles to Nelsonville, Ohio. The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, off-highway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville's Historic Square Arts District, Stuart's Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. On the opposite side of Nelsonville is Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest. Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends.
