Overall a 4/5 experience! I would stay here again without a doubt. Simple check-in process, attentive host, great ocean views, and a well equipped condo. The only drawback I can think of was in regards to some of the aging furnishings.

Great location!

Great location and view! Elevator was being replaced so a little challenging to get upstairs, but good for the heart and legs . Also needs the screen door fixed but didn’t hinder things at all! Love this little condo

Great finish to our honeymoon

Just in the airport in Maui now and couldn't be less happy about leaving. We had a great time and Lonnie was exceptionally helpful in making sure we had what we needed. Would recommend both the condo's we stayed at for anyone looking to spend time in Maui.

A Wonderful Week!

We recently stayed at this property and had a wonderful week. The unit is in beautiful condition and the views of the grounds and water are stunning - you can see it from all parts of the condo. The sun sets directly in front of this unit and we have many amazing pictures of these taken right from the lanai. The grounds are immaculate and very well taken care of. This was my first time in Hawaii, and the location was perfect. We spent most of our time at the local beaches within five minutes of the condo, but made some drives as well, including up to Hana. I would recommend this unit and very much look forward to a return soon!

Anniversary trip

I loved this condo. Very quiet location, clean, pest free and awesome views! We were within walking distance to a local store and coffee shop, and cafe. Nice beach park just down the street. The condo is small so I wouldn't recommend for families but that is the only reason. Plenty to see and do for all. No A/C but wasn't really needed with balcony opened and back screen door and windows. Cool brease and shaded balcony area. It was a very good value. You might do better for a view but at a much higher nightly rate. It was on the 3rd floor in an elevator building so disability not a problem and bathroom had nice hand rails to assist moving. Maui is soooo much nicer than Oahu.

The only less than perfect finding: the photo made it seem as if the view from the balcony was just of the ocean. In fact, the balcony looks out over the pool, the deck, the BBQ area, and a large building with a deck on top of it. Still a nice view, but definitely not what the pics showed. Last time we stayed in Lahaina, we were in the Kaleialoha, which was indeed right next to the ocean. Also, no washer/dryer in the unit. But still lovely.

The unit could use some updating in comparison to other units, but when you look past what it needs, it truly is a slice of heaven. Perfect view for the sunset, and whale watching in season. Nice, quiet, private complex, plenty of parking, all the nuts and bolts you need in a condo stay. I would stay there again, if it helps anyone on the fence about another location. Great Lanai space. You can jump in the ocean right off the property. Only slight diss on the property is you have to leave to get to a beach, where some complexes nearby had their own little beach areas. Unit came with chairs if you did decide to leave the property, which was nice.

Clean, well supplied, the lanai was a great place to enjoy breakfast and evening beverages.We enjoyed watching whales, surfers and even a turtle from the sun deck adjacent to the pool. We were in close proximity to a great little beach, a nice morning walk to and along the boardwalk. The only hiccup we had was a late arrival, we were exhausted from traveling and in our rush to find the complex, we were not playing close attention to the address. There is a complex just two driveways from this that says “ Kaleialoha” which is the name of this rental company managing this property, it the same complex, in error, we thought this was where we were suppose to be and could not find the key..(because we weren’t at the right place!) It was late, we were tired, I called the owner, unfortunately, probably woke her up.. we soon realized we were at the wrong location and proceeeded to our rents unit and enjoyed the rest of our vacation,

Hale Ono Loa, #311

This unit met all expectations: good condition, great ocean view, well maintained facility. Few children during this time so quite quiet and peaceful, other than a chronic cougher and one crying baby. A lot of traffic on the road, but ocean noise masks this at night, so no problem sleeping. A ceiling fan would be nice, but two floor/table fans provided. No A/C needed as constant ocean breeze. We never shut the ocean side door. No beach but nice pool, many beaches, walking trails, groceries within 5-15 minute drive. Property manager was responsive to one minor issue. Nearby Farmers Market (M-W-F mornings) is a tourist trap and overpriced, although food is very expensive everywhere - can you say tomatoes @ $5.29/lb? Want to go snorkeling on your own? Buy a mask and snorkel at Walmart (Kahalui - near airport) for $7 vs rental for $8/day (or $8/2 hr at resorts). Want GREAT pineapples? Drive north on Rt 30 for about 10 miles and pick up a couple at a roadside stand, 2/$5. Overall: very well satisfied.

Babymoon in Maui

My husband and I had an awesome stay at Hale Ono Loa. The condo had everything we needed and was in a great location, close to beaches and restaurants. We loved spending time on the balcony and enjoying the tropical views. Would definitely recommend this rental! A very memorable babymoon.

The best condo complex on the coast

Hale Ono Loa was a dream. We LOVED staying here. The ocean views, the terrace to watch sunsets, the friendly neighbors, the stairway down to the ocean... Being just above Lahaina away from the resort corridor, but close enough if you wanted to go there. We can't express how much we enjoyed staying here. We will absolutely be back! Mahalo!

Beautiful View - Needs Updating

Let's start with the good: Big Lanai with a great view. Complex is quiet and very well maintained and you will most likely have the pool and some of the surrounding area to yourself. Not So Good: For the price paid, this unit needs some updating, Specifically, the sofa and chair in the Living Room needed reupholstery and the bathroom, aside from being tiny, is old. Because there is no A/C, the road noise from the road at night can be loud - keep in mind the bedroom window faces this direction. The Really Not So Good: I was lucky enough to stay mostly on a weekend so was not impacted but as others have mentioned there was construction in the unit below me (loud!) and some exterior painting going on as well. Had I been there during the week this would have seriously impacted my stay. I realize this is tricky for the owner to be aware of and mitigate for propective guests but it's worth mentioning anyway. Overall, nice place with good potential. A small remodel (there's that noise again!) is recommended.
