This is a very clean & comfortable one bedroom unit with a full ocean view at Paki Maui, a property architecturally designed to take full advantage of Maui's weather and the proximity to the ocean! The view from the lanai spans the Au'au channel and a view of the islands of Molokai &Lanai. You will see turtles lunching off the reef any time of the year, and if you stay between mid-November to mid-April you will be treated to the show the humpback whales put on while mating & teaching their calves to swim!
If the goal is to relax and enjoy the view, you won't have to go more than a few short steps!! This is a SPECTACULAR view! You will not be disappointed! This is an elevated lanai facing the ocean.
Paki Maui is located in the heart of the Honokowai neighborhood. There are grocery, take out, and eat in restaurants within close walking distance. To the north and the south are lovely sandy beaches, but the prize is the set of 3 reefs that protect the ocean swimmer from the heavy surf, and make for great snorkeling and swimming!
Our efficiency kitchen is perfectly equipped for eating snacks in, or creating full meals from the fresh local produce at The Farmers Market right across the street!
This home is equipped with several amenities to provide you with a wonderful vacation from start to finish!
*At the pool is a shared BBQ. This is located just off the lawn perched over the sea-wall. Views Everywhere!
*We have a smart TV in the living area
*This unit captures the fresh ocean breezes like no other! You will love falling asleep to the sound of the ocean waves! We keep portable fans in addition to the ceiling fans for your comfort as well. Please note, this resort does not allow AC.
*We provide free wifi, 70+ mbps download, and off street parking.
*The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed.
*Please note that while we keep beach chairs, towels and coolers, we recommend renting snorkel gear from one of several vendors in the neighborhood for the sake of both fit and sanitation.
*On the grounds of Paki Maui you will find a sundeck as well as lounge chairs across the oceanfront lawn of the property for sunbathing. There is also a BBQ located at the pool for guest and residents use.

Honokawai is a unique Maui neighborhood. It's the kind of community where people know each other and say "Aloha" walking down the street. There are grocers, eateries of all types and local shops. Down the road is our favorite beach walk - walking south (go right) on Lwr Honoapi'ilani Rd you will see a blue "Ocean Access" sign pointing right. This will take you to Honua Kai Beach, one of the top rated beaches in the world from Travel and Leisure Magazine.
Maui does have a public bus system, and works great for getting around West Maui. The bus stop is located just south on the road in front of the ABC store. If you want to wander further afield you will want to consider renting a car. I am happy to make recommendations for you.
Lyft and Uber are available for all around the island, but are not permitted pick ups at the airport.
*The volcanic reef fronting the shoreline runs parallel to the shore. There are 2 lava reef ridges that serve to protect the swimmer/snorkeler during low to mid tide. The max depth between the 1st and second reef is about 9 ft, and in the afternoon fairly warm and very comfortable. We see turtles, spinner dolphins and eagle rays, as well as countless other marine animals along this shoreline!
*Please note - Paki Maui is AC free. AC is not offered or allowed at this location. Paki Maui was built to take advantage of the breezes and channel the air through the condo spaces. There is an air circulation system that draws air through the buildings, thus allowing the guest to enjoy the ocean sounds and breezes. This unit comes with ceiling fans and extra floor fans.
For check ins on Christmas and Thanksgiving day our cleaning service charges an additional holiday cleaning fee of $75.00. We will contact you regarding this additional fee after you make your reservation.
*We take your safety and well-being seriously. We have a comprehensive cleaning and sanitizing program for this property. Our cleaning service and on-site staff are spending as much time as necessary to make sure that all areas of your rental are thoroughly cleaned before you check in.
We ask you to plan ahead as we may not be able to allow early check ins and late check outs as often as we would like.

The real gem of the property is the Pacific Ocean View. It sits on a stretch of oceanfront facing the Island of Lana'i just to the south, and Moloka'i across the channel for one of the more spectacular sunset views on the island of Maui.
Our shore has three volcanic reefs running parallel to the shoreline, providing a mini snorkeling/swimming channel 4-7' deep, perfect for viewing our parade of turtle up close! The inside of the 1st reef is perfect for smaller kids to build sandcastles at low tide, and play in the water, as the reefs serve to protect our narrow stretch of sand from the rougher high tide surf.
