Nice place near Downtown Lexington

I stayed here with friends while attending a Kentucky football game and going to Keeneland. The house was close to both. The house was also well-stocked and clean.

Nice getaway in Lexington

This house is in a nice, quiet semi-suburban neighborhood. Very close to downtown and Rupp Arena. It’s been updated, has plenty of space to cook and hang out. This would be a good house to stay with children too- fun games. Bedrooms are spacious. Nice decor. Perfect for our weekend getaway!

This house is in a nice neighborhood and was very convenient as we traveled around Lexington. The kitchen and bathrooms have been recently upgraded, but unfortunately, this is an older house and lacks amenities that would make this above a 3 star hotel. We were disappointed that the on-line pictures are not accurate (different furniture in many rooms and lacking any coffee tables or ottomans in the living rooms, dressers in the bedrooms and no backyard fire pit or chairs) and there are issues with bugs, cobwebs and stale bedrooms (none of the windows open and there are no fans in the rooms). It was acceptable as a location, but not the best for just hanging out.

It’s wonderful to have guests who recognize the great location of this home to all that happens in Lexington. Sadly, we see the lack of recognition in the value of 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bath accommodations for a group of adults and children who couldn’t get the same amenities for the same price at a hotel. Having just placed a large, comfortable sectional in a gathering space and having added a couch to another, and having many end tables, we find the “hanging out” space comment unfounded. Also confusing is the “no fans” comment as there is not only a fan in each bedroom upstairs, 2 are nice cooling fans for more air options. This guest was given an early check in to accommodate their desires and a discount for their stay. They were told about the extremely large tree that had to be taken down after a storm, hence the “different than pictures” backyard. Then when asked to put the trash cans at the street ( as asked in the house rules), said guests pushed back and also asked for a late check out, ultimately putting the trash out, thankfully. We love giving our guests a comfortable home to gather in and rest in after a full, fun Lexington visit. The value for our fully stocked and regularly maintained Heart of the Bluegrass home is regularly loved and appreciated. And we appreciate our guests.

Great location

My group and I had a wonderful time at this rental. My only suggestion to the hosts given that people are typically renting to come in town for events etc. is to get a full length mirror somewhere in the house. The back yard neighbor’s dogs were quite a nuisance with the barking. There were only 2 chairs in the backyard and both were filthy so we were unable to use the outdoor space even if we could have handled all the dog barking.

Great Location!

Location for our Keeneland destination was premium. Friends and family were so excited to have a house that kept everyone together and close! Mark was very responsive and the property was as listed. Had a few issues with the tree out front absolutely soaking our cars in sap (resulting in car washes for everyone!) but 10/10 understand this was probably seasonal. Cleanliness could be a tad better, but we are also OCD and had a professional cabin cleaner staying with us 😅😂…so to each their own. Would definitely come back!

Located close to all the activities going on in Lexington. We are 15 minutes from Keenleand and downtown Lexington. Shopping and restaurants are very close with a wide variety of selection. This is why we call this property the "Heart of the Bluegrass."
