You’re absolutely right that guests should not have to hunt for a unit or room number, and clear directions are even more critical when arriving after 5:00 when staff may not be available in person. We appreciate you calling out the lack of directional signage and that your check-in package didn’t include enough reference information. We’re already reviewing our pre-arrival instructions to make them more detailed and easy to follow, including clearer step-by-step directions, where to park, how to locate the correct building and unit, and what to do if arriving after hours. This is certainly not the standard of quality and comfort we aim to provide our guests. Your comments regarding the outdated condition of the unit are taken very seriously. The shag rug, aging pull-out mattress, and overall worn feel are unacceptable in a rental at this price point. We’ve flagged these concerns for immediate review by our property management team and have forwarded your feedback to the property owner for consideration of necessary updates and replacements. We're especially sorry to hear about the cleanliness concerns and your experience with allergens and the condition of the bathtub. Our housekeeping team strives for high standards, and it's clear we missed the mark here. We will be addressing these issues directly with our cleaning crew to ensure this level of oversight does not happen again. The comment about the overpowering chlorine smell in the hallways is also noted. While pool areas are regularly treated for guest safety, that scent should never be invasive to the point of discomfort. We will be reviewing the ventilation in the building and discussing your experience with building management. On a positive note, we’re glad to hear that you enjoyed the view of the lake from the deck. Northern Michigan’s natural beauty is one of the highlights of staying in this region, and we’re happy you were able to enjoy that part of your visit. It looks like we contacted you as soon as your condo was available, prior to our 4pm check-in. We will also forward your feedback regarding the power tools sound.
