I am disappointed when I hear that I have not met someone’s expectations. I need to clarify a statement made that is factually incorrect. You stated the “Linen was used and dirty on the main bed.” This is not a true statement. The fact is all of the bed linens and towels were washed and placed in their appropriate locations on January 2, 2025. The sheets may not have smelled “fresh” as we use a mild bleach and non-scented and undyed hypoallergenic detergent, which admittedly is bland smelling when clean. On January 23, 2025, the floors were swept and mopped, and the porch was swept in preparation for your arrival the following week. The day after arrival, I reached out to you to make sure everything was fine, and no problems were mentioned. When I arrived after your stay, I was pleased with the condition of the condo, and reviewed you favorably. Yes, I would rent to you again, but I would hope there would be better communication of a perceived problem.

I’m sorry to hear that the condo was not to your expectation regarding the dirty floor. The condo was vacuumed and mopped December 17, in preparation for your visit. The condo is currently listed for sale, and as I understand, was shown by a realtor during the week of December 19. The realtor made no indication of a dirty floor, but I cannot say definitively whether dirt may have been tracked into the condo. Had you notified me when you observed this problem, I could have taken steps to meet or exceed your expectations. However, this was not brought to my attention until several days after checkout. The cleanliness of our family’s condo is of utmost importance to me, as cleanliness is specifically praised in other reviews. Moving forward, I will verify that the condo is in accordance with our cleaning standards 24 hours prior to arrival.

This is an utterly false review. The cleanliness of the unit can be attested to by the realtor and prospective buyers who have been shown this condo and are considering purchasing this unit. This is a review from a tenant who insisted on renting half the unit at a lower rate than we normally do. The renter even went so far as to represent herself as a potential buyer, as a tactic to lower the rate, I should have known then not to rent to her. I truly regret renting to this person. Within a few hours of arrival she requested access to the half of the condo she did not rent, and is obviously upset that she did not have access to the entire condo. I expressed my concerns about this problematic renter to VRBO, fully expecting a bad review since I wouldn’t refund money in exchange for a favorable review. The condo is as it appears in the pictures. A previous renter noted dirt on the floor, most likely from when the condo had been shown by a realtor prior to his arrival, but after it had been cleaned. After becoming aware of that, the condo is checked and cleaned, if needed, within 24 hours of the guests’ arrival. Unfortunately, all the information I had about this tenant prior to her arrival was a 10 year history with VRBO, but no ratings.
