Large beach house located next to several attractions! 2 minute walk to the beach. Two blocks to the East is a free skate park/tennis courts/picnic tables/pavilion/kids playground and bring your swimsuit for the kids splash pad! Historical downtown is just 12 blocks away. Free wifi, large balcony with view of the beach and water, 2 living rooms (smart tv’s) and the house sleeps up to 14 guests (3 couches included). Two spacious bathrooms, a washer/dryer, towels & linens provided, a fully equipped kitchen and a mini kitchenette/coffee bar. We provide yoga mats so you can take time for yourself to stretch and relax! We also have a kids playroom area with a large rug, toys/games, and a nintendo! We have a downstairs covered porch with plenty of seating and a fenced yard. Welcome to The Blue Beauty!

Not as advertised

Pizza boxes and trash on front porch. No Running water yes that’s right no running water. Filthy beds, likely not changed from the previous renters. 2 small window air conditioning units for a 3 story house. Did I mention no running waters. We of course did not stay there and had to go to Houston to find a hotel do to no vancancy in Galveston. Two families looking to spend time together in a mini vacation that got spoiled. The owner was nice enough to refund us 100%

We are sorry that your trip got spoiled. It was unfortunate and out of our control that the city shut off the water unexpectedly for a short period of time. Even though it was out of our control, we still went above and beyond to try and make it right... In regards to the pizza boxes and the beds being unmade we were also appalled to see the pictures you sent us of the house looking the way it did. The house cleaners sent us time stamped pictures of the house looking sparkling clean. We checked our cameras and you were the only ones outside of the house after the house had been cleaned. We also saw on camera you and your kids walking up to the house even carrying in those pizza boxes! Also, nobody has ever complained about the AC units especially since there is 6 units throughout the house and we keep them running constantly. As you stated we refunded you 100% and even took a loss coming out of pocket since VRBO didn't allow us to refund you 100% Not only did we covercompensate you but we had to pay our cleaners an additional fee to clean up after you because from the small amount of time you occupied the house you used most of the beds, dirtied the floors, used the toilets, and left pizza in the kitchen and garbage outside on our porch. There is no reason for you to be dishonest about the condition of the house. We never expected your stay to turn out like this nor did we think you would lie and also take our stored toiletries. For anybody reading this we are happy to show proof as VRBO doesn't have the option to add video and/or photos.

Not as expected

This weekend me and family decided to stay at what we thought was going to be an amazing house. It was definitely not what was expected. To start we was supposed to check in at 4:00pm but as we are coming into galveston at 4:20 i received a phone call stating that the previous guest left at 2 hours prior instead of on time and the house was not ready. We was told by the home owner that the cleaners would not be there until the next day and we should cancel and book somewhere else. I stated that we was already there and didnt know if we would be able to book something so fast for 16 people. Magically 1.5 hours later i recieved a phone call stating that the house was ready and we could get in it. We get there and the key pad does not work. The cleaners let us inside and the listong and pictured do not show off the house. The listing states it ahs 2 sets of bunk beds 1 queen bed and 1 king bed as well as futons. It comes with 3 queen beds 1 set of bunk beds and 3 twin beds. The kitchen is un organzed and out dated. The bathroom down stairs you cannot put your leg between the wall and toilet. There is soft spots in the floors on the 2nd floor. The balcony feels sturdy but slanted instead of straight. The house definitely need and update as well as a slight makeover. Will not be staying here again and will not recommend it to any one. Honestly ruined the weekend

Lone Star Rally 2021

Good place to stay for the rally. Nice big fenced in yard plenty of space to park trailers and bikes. And close to everything going on. Had everything you needed for a group to hang out and visit. The balcony upstairs was really nice and the front porch was a great gathering place as well. The bathrooms were updated very nice and the beds were comfortable. Could use some updated furniture and appliances but was not really an issue everything worked.
