The house was exactly like the listing, no surprises except that it was far more furnished than I had thought. The kitchen has everything you need, really I’ve never seen such a well stocked kitchen in any vacation rental home. There are beach supplies, pool supplies, towels, chairs, a wagon- I didn’t need half of the supplies I brought for our stay. This place even has fans, for others that have to sleep with a fan. The home is older and the floors creak, which I love. Full transparency - the stairs are steep but there are beds downstairs for those that may not choose to go up. There is so much room to hang out and visit. Tons of beds for people to sleep. We didn’t use the pool but it looked well maintained and was serviced during our stay. The location sells this place though. It’s so centrally located that you can overlook most small things that you may not love. The beach is a half block. The pier is a half block. You can walk to so much from this home. Communication with host was exceptional and professional- answered any issue very promptly. We won’t stay anywhere else in Galveston now that we’ve stayed here. The ONLY annoyance for our family was that there is a neighbor in the back that listens to the most obnoxious techno music on weekend days and nights (the same song on repeat). We didn’t hear it at all during the week until Friday night. It’s not stupid loud but it can be heard laying in bed.
