Super gite in lovely setting. Gorgeous pool, saltwater so no nasty chemicals. Gite has everything you need and owners were invisible until help required and then super helpful. Great location for exploring the area.

Wonderful

What a fab gite! Dianne the host was so welcoming and friendly. The gite was beautifully maintained and clean and had everything you needed. The photos really don't do the gite, grounds or pool justice. Would highly recommend it and we will definitely be back to visit.

A perfect gite

We loved our stay at the grande ferme. The gites are private but have the use of the communal spaces. Having a salt water swimming pool makes all the difference when the children are in it all week. Plenty to see and do locally and the shops in Chef Boutonne have all you need. Hosts perfect combination of available whilst giving you space. Would recommend.

Beautifully presented gîte with a lovely pool.

A lovely Gîte with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The walled pool area and pool are beautiful with plenty of loungers, the pool is heated to a very pleasant 28deg and there are various pool toys and floats for guests to use.The surrounding gardens are also lovely with swings, a badminton net and more to keep the restless ones busy. The nearest town is only 10 minutes away by car so it’s really convenient for the supermarket and boulangeries etc. The owner was lovely and her communication prior to our arrival was excellent. All in all a lovely place to stay

Wonderful Gite, beautiful location, fabulous hosts

Probably one of the best kitted out Gites we have stayed in. Very well designed and comfortable accommodation, super clean, modern open plan kitchen, sitting area and bathroom, with all utilities provided. The bedrooms were cool, very comfortable, good quality bedding and really pretty, keeping the traditional design features of the gite. We had an impressive, private outside space, spotless pool and sunsets that were just fabulous. The hosts were very kind and discreet and wanted you to feel at home, however always on hand when you needed them. I would not hesitate to stay here again, it was a super holiday and have fabulous memories of our time there… so many thanks to our lovely hosts Dianne and Mark

Séjour agréable et reposant

Petite attention appréciable dès notre arrivée avec une bouteille de rosé et un paquet de gâteau apéro. La piscine salée est plus qu'appréciable et les espaces extérieurs également. Le gite est très bien équipé. Diane est discrète mais présente et efficace rapidement si besoin. Nous avons passé de bonnes vacances !

Super séjour à la Bataille. Le gîte est vraiment parfait (beau, très bien équipé), le terrain de jeux immense et la piscine parfaite également Nous avons passé 2 semaines idéales.

An oasis in rural Nouvelle Aquitaine

This is a newly-converted rural farm in the middle of the hamlet of La Bataille. Everything had been done to a really high standard and we had everything we needed for the relaxing holiday we craved. The pool was immaculate as it was cleaned every morning and as it is walled on 2 sides, we could always find shade if we needed it. We barbecued most nights with fabulous food from local markets (the local Intermarche is also very good) and the Gite is within reach of plenty of local towns for days out. Dianne was the perfect host: communication was swift and helpful, but otherwise, we were left in perfect peace. Thank you!
