Newly Remodeled 4-Bedroom 3-Bath Home Is Right On The Beach, Waiting For You

This lake house has all the comforts of home, plus every amenity you want for a fantastic vacation. Located in beautiful Michigan City (just 65 miles from Chicago and 35 miles from South Bend) this home is perfect for summer vacations, weekend winery tours, and Notre Dame sports weekends. Only one house separates this home from one of Lake Michigan's most gorgeous beaches so you can enjoy the luxury of beach front living. In addition to the beach, you're also in very close proximity to Washington Park, Washington Park Zoo, Blue Chip Casino, Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets and everything the area has to offer.

The home was completely remodeled in 2019. It features a very large master bedroom with a king bed, two quality bedrooms with queen beds, as well as a fourth bedroom with 3-4 single beds for little ones or smaller singles. Three FULL bathrooms are provided for ultimate convenience during your stay. There's a fully equipped kitchen, with an open living and dining area. Vintage stained glass windows contribute to the hip cottage atmosphere. Over 500 square feet of patio space in the private backyard, with a large fire pit, limestone game court and plenty of seating gives you tons of space for dining and relaxing. The house also has an outdoor shower for rinsing after a long day at the beach!

During peak summer months the property is rented on a weekly basis, generally Friday-to-Friday. We look forward to seeing you at Dune Fine!

Wonderful Location and Clean!

This is one of the cleanest rentals I have stayed in. The location is great for the beach. The house was stocked well with anything we needed. A great option for a Michigan City beach stay!

Girls weekend

Wanted a place to take my daughter and her friends and their moms. This was close and reasonably priced. Property was perfect for our needs, steps from the beach, very accessible to restaurants, shopping, treats, definitely recommend. Host was easy to communicate with and quick to respond.

Girls weekend

Dune fine was an amazing property with the perfect set up for a much needed girls weekend. Steps from the beach, great backyard with fire pit, plenty of beds and baths for everyone and a great room/dining room area for hanging and playing games. We would def stay again!

Fantastic spot right by the beach!

The house was lovely, well appointed, smartly decorated,and so close to the beach! Our group of 5 kids and 4 adults had a fantastic time, and everyone had plenty of space to themselves. The outdoor shower was a bit tricky to use at first, but was so helpful once we got the hang of it. Michigan City had everything I wanted in a Lake Michigan vacation: wineries, breweries, blueberry picking, etc. We were even able to ride our bikes to the zoo, splash pad, and pier. Truly a fantastic trip!

Great House, Beautiful Beach!

I had never heard of Michigan City before booking our stay at Dune Fine, but was blown away by how beautiful the beach was! We headed over the dunes right when we pulled in the drive way to check it out and it was an awesome view! I am a VRBO vacation home owner and I was very pleased with this rental. The house was super cute and very spacious for our group of 7. We spent the majority of the weekend on the back patio or at the beach which was only a walk over the dunes. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

Great Family Getaway

We had such a great time getting together as a family because of all the conveniences available at the house. We chose to cook all our meals and the kitchen was equiped with everything we needed. They provided beach chairs, deck chairs and tables, and laundry facilities. They even had a TV in a child's bedroom. Everyone had space to spend alone or with the entire group. We saw a rainbow, deer and giant dragonflies. Perfect vacation!

Just Perfect

My family and I rented this property with another family to enjoy a short weekend on Lake Michigan. There were 4 adults and 4 children under the age of 6, and this house was absolutely perfect for us! The children's bedroom upstairs can sleep 4 with a fun and modern atmosphere. The furnishings were all in great condition, and loved the wood floors in the home. The bathrooms were lovely, and recently remodeled as the description states. Our weather wasn't the greatest for part of our time, but I know we would have used the back deck if it was better. What a great home, beach, and location. We will come back soon!

Amazing beach house in Michigan City

Wow! What a beautiful place. This is the perfect location to the beach. The public beach access was closed due to COVID during our stay, however the access point to the beach from the house was easy to get to. I actually preferred that the public beach walkway was closed. It made the beach area empty. The weather and water was perfect. On the first day it was really wavy. The next day until the end of the week it was as calm as a kitten. The house was amazing. Clean, plenty of space to sprawl out. The kid's bedroom was nicely done and my kids were excited to sleep in their own room. All the beds were comfortable. Fully stocked kitchen. The outdoor sitting area was beautiful with plenty of seating and nice big outdoor table where we ate all our dinners. The fire pit was great and the grill area was good. Owners were ver receptive to text or email. They even had beach towels, beach chairs, and beach toys for the kids to use. The only thing I would change are the pillows. They were a little soft for my taste. But the beds were super comfortable and I slept like a baby. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would book this place again without hesitation. Perfect location, wonderful time, great house. Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful home.

Great house!

The house was great! Very clean, spacious, and comfortable. The house came stocked with everything we needed and was very close to the beach. We had 3 adults and 4 kids (ages 2 through 6) during our stay, and everyone was comfortable and happy. We would definitely stay here again!

This house and location are amazing. Scott is a very responsive and helpful host. The amenities are great, large backyard, firepit, grill, and outdoor dining make the experience that much better. The house is very clean with lots of room for everyone to enjoy themselves. This is our second stay and we plan to book again next year.

Glad we stayed here and wish it were longer!

Seven adults, ages from 32 to 92. Mom and Dad did fine on the first floor, but couldn't make the hike (really only about a block but up and down) to the beach. We resolved that by visiting Washington Park just a few blocks away. Covered picnic tables or park your chair on the sand. Worked out great for them. Bedrooms all worked out OK too. One queen bedroom on the first floor is pretty small, the other has a full dresser and slightly larger. Master bed/bath is upstairs and very roomy. My sister and niece slept in the room with the three twins which had its own bathroom-perfect! We didn't need the washer/dryer much except to do towels before we left but it was nice to have it available. Dining room table seats six people comfortably, and when we needed more room, we at outside. Four cushioned chairs under a nice shade tree, and a umbrella table for another six. Kitchen served our purpose, and three nights of our stay were homemade dinners. Plenty of pots, pans, couple skillets need replacement but utensils for everything you could imagine! AC worked fine and plenty of natural light which is important to a few of us. Storage box outside had some fun beach items and sand chairs. We picked up some wood at Al's Supermarket about 10 minutes away and made a nice fire on our last night there. Our favorits restaurants nearby-Polish Peasant, Brewery Lodge and Dune Billie's. Great pie!

Third year of enjoying this house

We've stayed at this property three years in a row and plan to come back again next year. It's clean, has an excellent location, and has plenty of space for the family and guests. Scott is always great to with with as well, so it makes this an easy choice for us. We love the outdoor shower for getting sand off, and the water heater keeps up even if all three showers inside are going. We really enjoy Dune Fine!

Well Appointed House, but Pets Have Been Here

House is great for families/groups. Plenty of space to spread out in the living spaces and upstairs bedrooms. An issue is this property is listed as 'No Pets Allowed Property'. We chose this rental for this reason; as members in the group have severe allergies. Upon arrival, it was clear animals have been inside the home. Allergic reactions started. With a quick cleaning of a lint roller on furniture, rugs, blankets; animal hair was collected. We contacted the owners to inform them. The response " we do not allow pets in our rentals. We also always follow any stay with a deep cleaning. We are hopeful your group is comfortable and has a great rest of your stay." No offer to re-clean, provide new linens or blankets or monetary reimbursement for the poor deep cleaning/un-acknowledged allowance of pets. Pros: Plenty of space. 2 refrigerators. Next to beach path (use the public path out front door). Great internet. Great smart TV/firestick. Large Patio/Fire pit (you provide firewood from a nearby store). Washer and Dryer on main floor (not basement). Beach toy bin was stocked. Coffee supplies stocked. Cons: Not Pet-Free. No shades/blinds on first floor common areas. House is across the street from the public parking lot & public restrooms; this was not an issue for our stay, but guests should know of the people traffic/car traffic immediately in front of the home (didn't use front door). If neighbors have too many cars (which they did), you can get parked in.
