Spacious cozy beach home in a perfect location at beach path, just steps to Lake Michigan sand beach and only 60 miles from Chicago. Our large family friendly home sleeps 10-12 people with 4 bedrooms, 5th bedroom loft space, 3.5 bathrooms, open layout kitchen and living room, large dining room, and multiple living areas for entertaining and relaxing. We are located at quiet corner in Sheridan Beach neighborhood. Filled with natural light, our beautiful beach home is the perfect place to bring family and friends together for beach vacation and getaway on Lake Michigan.

Our home is situated at quiet corner in Sheridan Beach community at beach path, just steps to Lake Michigan beach. We are walking distance to Washington Park zoo, free outdoor concerts at Washington Park amphitheater, Michigan City lighthouse and harbor, and Oasis Splash Pad. In addition, Michigan City boasts Franklin Street Arts District, Saturday farmers market all summer, Lighthouse Outlet Mall, Lubeznik Center for the Arts, Michigan City Municipal Golf Course, Michigan City harbor boat cruises, Friendship Gardens park, beautiful Indiana dunes and plenty of bike and nature trails, golfing, restaurants, breweries, wineries, spectacular sunsets and much more.

Our home is new listing starting summer 2023. During summer season (June through Labor Day), we seek 6-night minimum stay. The remainder of year, there is a 3-night minimum stay. The arrival and departure schedule is based on garbage and cleaning services. Summer check-in is Monday afternoon and check-out is Sunday or Monday. Pets are not permitted. I rented this lovely home for a reunion with my cousins. There were 9 of us all together. The house was perfect for us! The kitchen was well-stocked and had everything we needed.The main room and dining room, right off the kitchen, were pretty and so comfortable. It was a rainy weekend but the gas fireplace made the room so cozy. We also enjoyed sitting on the 2nd foor covered porch; it's another cozy spot! The beds are very comfortable. There was so much room for all of us. Despite the weather, we made the short walk through the dunes to the beach. Beautiful!We're all looking forward to returning next year.

5-Star experience! The loft was perfect for stashing all the kids while the adults enjoyed the bedrooms on the 2nd story. The kitchen was well-stocked and suited our cooking plans. The path to the lake was right in front of the home and was an easy walk to lake. We had plenty of towels, bathroom toiletries, beach chairs, etc

Awesome house and location

The house is awesome. So clean. So well stocked with everything ! If you forgot to pack something don’t worry they probably have it there. We had 9 adults and 2 children and there so so much room! Magnificent stay

The property was perfectly described, great location, the beds were the most comfortable rental weve stayed in. The house had everything we needed besides the food we prepared. Long weekend at the beach/National Park

This house was perfect for myself, my siblings and our spouses and my toddler niece. It was perfectly located with an incredibly short and convenient walk to the beach (which surprised us all at how beautiful it was)! Very close to many National Park locations. The house itself was gorgeous and well maintained. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking, and the screened in porches were lovely for spending evenings outdoors. The hosts were very communicative. We all had a great time and would love to come back to Michigan City!

Girlfriends’ holiday weekend

What an amazing, immaculate beach house! Our group does this every year and all agreed this was the best house we ever rented! Kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed. Furniture super comfy/cozy, decorated beautifully (love the colors and orig art) -also loved the remote controlled fireplace! There are a number of common areas for lots of relaxing! Every bedroom was more darling than the next, beds very comfy, and bathrooms were clean, nice and all updated. This place had everything we needed: beach walks, outlet mall, and lotsa wineglasses. Great accommodations. We’ll be back for sure!

Summer family vacatiom

We really enjoyed our stay in Michigan City. Our family of 10 was quite happy in this quaint home. We have stayed in many vacation rentals and this one was by far, the most well equipped and comfortable home we have stayed in. Close and easy access to the beach and an outdoor shower (our grandsons loved it) were much appreciated. The yard is small, but lots of outdoor areas including a deck, screened porch and a balcony. The beach is beautiful and we were happy that there were beach chairs to use. The hosts were very quick to respond to any messages. Absolutely recommend this rental.

Plenty of room in this place! Beds were very comfortable and everything was well stocked, lots of paper products and even a good selection of spices. The only negative I can say is the living area furniture wasn’t comfortable.

Beach House

7/6-7/13. Had several adults and several children stay for the week. Steps from the beach with stand-on kayaks and beach chairs available to use. Three floors- first floor kitchen and living area with screened deck, and a separate are with a large 10 person table, back side has a grill and sand wash off area, small mudroom with washer/dryer. No real yard to speak of except a small section out front. Second floor has a master with full bath, another king bedroom (both with screened porches) and a smaller bedroom with 2 twin beds and a full bath next to it. Third floor has a king bedroom and living area with several twin beds and a half bath. Understand there are three sets of stairs-easily traversed but more than your usual home. Within a decent walk to the zoo, Washington beach, outlet mall, other shopping and a few places to eat, but an easier drive to all. The train gets you to chicago one way for $10 in about an hour. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Awesome annual beach trip

Second time staying at the Mollie’s Cottage. Our group had a fantastic time. Love this spacious and comfortable home. Quiet corner of Sheridan Beach - flowers and relaxing sound of the surf create a peaceful and festive oasis. Location is perfect, just steps to the beach. We look forward to our next visit!

The property is located right across from the beach. There is a lot of rooms to accommodate a large group. The kitchen and bathrooms have all the tools you need. The only downside is if you have a problem negotiating stairs. There are a lot of them!

Great Stay!

Jim and Nell provide a great home for a lake getaway! We stayed at their home for a bachelorette party with 9 girls and everyone had plenty of space to get ready and sleep. The beach chairs that were provided were a huge plus. Walking access to a beautiful, clean beach. If you told me we were in Florida I would have believed you! Plenty to do in the nearby area with outlet mall, casino, and wineries around.
