NEVER EVER AGAIN
I am filing a complaint with the attorney general and BBB about our horrible experience at the Hunter’s cabin. We spoke to Amber at the front desk about the significant misrepresentation of the cabin and she told us the only thing she can do use a open a maintenance ticket. This was after we suffered all night our first night WITHOUT AC!! She didn’t even offer to refund us the first night stay! We arrived at our cabin around 9 or 9:30pm on 7/7 to a pile of mouse poop in the middle of the floor, no working AC in two of the three bedrooms or one of the bathrooms or the entire lower level. The hot tub was disgusting with what appeared to be peelings of skin and other nasty things floating in the hot tub and most of the jets didn’t work and it made a very loud obnoxious noise. The ceiling had significant water damage in the lower level from the main floor bathroom. The dryer did NOT work, it would spin for a minute or so overheat and then stop!!! There were mouse turds on the pans we pulled out of the cabinets to cook with!! There was NO internet service. We explained to them that their service provider needed to send a reboot to the modem/router but, NOTHING was done about it!! We explained we are in a cabin with no way to communicate with anyone in case of an emergency as there was no land line and no internet!! We explained how concerning it was to us and we wanted to be moved. Amber told us that is not possible. We said we should be compensated for at least the first night and was told that is not possible. They had a maintenance person get the thermostat working for the second AC unit and cleaned out the hot tub some but, that is all that was done to resolve the issues and our concerns! We will all be writing google reviews warning people of the significant misrepresentations in hopes it saves them a bunch of time, money and aggravation! We will also be filing a complaint with the BBB and the attorney general!! Our first night and half of the first day of our vacation was ruined and the entire experience was extremely disappointing. We were so excited about this trip and that cabin based on how they represented it online. We want to make sure all consumers are aware!
