Don't inconvenience yourself

I read in the reviews that this host likes to contact you at the last minute to let you know that the property is not available due to some sort of circumstance. We were offered another property and were in a Bind.Because we had to take it because we had dodger tickets and we had nowhere else to stay. The second property was nowhere near as nice as the first property. After our stay the host had the nerve to be rude, here is his message..."contacted you many days prior regarding the change of space of cancellation. You totally ignored my messages until the day of. Also you never inquired regarding the modalities of cancellation. Since the change was coming from me I would have offered a full refund obviously. Instead when we did the check in and walk though together you said the place was great and at no point you ever mentioned anything negative. The coffee machine was an expression like I mentioned and you even said you were not even planning on getting coffee there as you found a great spot for breakfast with your husband. Also there was indeed soap. The place was cleaned before and and after your stay and I can’t offer any type of refund and especially knowing that you seemed to have planned to ask for a refund from the get go and that is why you ignored all my messages for many days. You request is insulting. I nevertheless wish you the best in life and hope you treat homeowners better in the future. And not to mention you had 4 people there instead of 2" ALL LIES

It was a perfect little peaceful getaway away from the city super quiet and calming and great! would definitely recommend, as a single woman I felt so safe.

Nice view and nice people - that’s IT!

The view of the hills is amazing! Other than that - The place was crawling with spiders. The hot plate and coffee pot in the kitchen are rusted and look as if they were salvaged from a dumpster. Bring your own tissue/paper towels/ bath cloths. Dogs are at this location. If you are taking a trip away from your children please do not book this place as children are here and very loud. There is a horrible smell in the space of mildew Although the host was nice there are small details that are left off of the description. Lots of stairs not for someone clumsy or has any foot issues. There are MULTIPLE steps inside! Tub is a claw foot raised tub with an added shower head hose. There is no hanging holder for the shower sprayer so you have to makeshift for it to stay. At 5’10 - couldn’t stand. No self check in and the apartment door is after you enter an enclosed “shared laundry” room door which by the way you can’t use. The door is not secured as it does not have a bolted lock. There is only a twist lock on the door. There were never any checkin instructions provided. You literally have to message the host for everything and not to mention there seems to be some renovations happening around the property simultaneously. This place should rent for no more than $80 per night. We’ve been hosted by many hosts and this by far was our least favorable. Hopefully VRBO reads these and makes some serious adjustments!

Shady host

Marcus canceled the last day of our 3 day stay on check in day telling us it was also too late to cancel the two days left on the 3 days. However we needed a 3 day accommodation and informed him that because he had been the one to break our contract last minute we would look elsewhere as we needed 3 full days. He refused and ghosted us and so we contacted VRBO directly. They tried to contact the host first, who would not answer. VRBO promised to refund through through their warranty program and collect directly from the host. Stay away unless you like being forced into a corner at the last minute.
