Silver Mountain #2 - Two story cabin in the Black Hills

Welcome to Silver Mountain Resort and Cabins.
Silver Mountain #2 is one of seven cabins on our country property.
The main level hosts a bedroom with 1 king bed and 1 twin sofa sleeper (for a small child) and 1 full bathroom with a tub shower. The second floor contains a master bedroom with 1 queen bed, a trifold foam mattress (for small child) and 1 bathroom with a stand up shower. The large living room boasts a gorgeous, petrified wood fireplace and a queen size murphy bed. The kitchen includes a dishwasher and all full sized appliances. The cabin is air-conditioned and has a washer/dryer unit. Lastly, the vast outdoor deck includes 2 sets of patio furniture and a private grill in the middle of our beautiful grounds.

Silver Mountain #2 is Black Hills Lodging at its best.

Fabulous Family Vacation

My entire family (myself, husband, 11yo, 9yo, and 2yo) had a wonderful time. Property was beautiful and peaceful. Our cabin was very well cared for and set up beautifully. My boys loved the Murphy bed! Pool was a highlight for the kids, and the fire pit and patio grill space was ours! Other cabin families were pleasant and coincidentally also from Iowa! Remote location but also not too far from town and shopping.

This cabin was adorable and just right for our family of five! We forgot our pack n play and surprise they had one already there! Kari-Anne was great to work with throughout the stay. My kids loved the pool and playing on the equipment. We felt very safe and secure in this area. Highly recommend!

Best Family Vacation

This was our first family vacation and it has set high expectations for further vacations! This cabin was fantastic! Our host thought of everything from crayons and board games to books and movies. She even left us a s’mores basket. The communication was easy and she was extremely kind. The property was beautiful and our kids loved all the animals they saw. I would definitely recommend without hesitation.

Great stay

We had a great stay at Silver Mt. It was our first time in SD and this location was perfect for us. We were able to visit the monuments, Custer, Badlands, Devils Tower easily. Lots of outdoor activities around us: hiking, caving, UTVs, even the Thursday night summer concert in Rapid City. The owners are very enjoyable and easy to communicate with. They checked on is to see if their cabin met our needs and requests. They have a great system to let them know of any additional supplies are needed. Would rebook here again!

Convenient location in the Black Hills

The Silver Mountain Resort is situated in the Black Hills halfway between Rapid City and Mount Rushmore/Keystone. We visited the surrounding area: Mount Rushmore National Monument, Wind Hill Cave National Park, and Crazy Horse Memorial. This VRBO is nestled in the hills just outside Rapid City surrounded by pastures and pines. The unit is neat and clean and it was easy to contact Kari-Ann via text. We especially appreciated the in-unit washer and dryer (complete with detergent) after coming off of a hot and dusty camping trip in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. My only small critiques are that 1) the cupboards do not have handles, and they were a little hard to open, 2) the main room is a bit dark, so maybe another lamp or two would be helpful, and 3) the pool is about half the size that we expected, so, while refreshing and definitely a plus, it is really only able to be used by one family at a time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay quite a bit. We would definitely recommend this property to others and hope to return another time!

The Silver Mountain Cabins did not disappoint! Clean lodging, super friendly owner that cared about her guests, close to a lot of attractions but also having the remote peaceful feel! Highly recommend this hidden gem!!!!!

Clean and cozy

This was a beautiful cottage with everything a family or two couples could use. Super comfortable bed in downstairs room, which was the only one we used. Kitchen fully stocked. Quiet property and a great location for touring.
