Haleakala Shores B509 offers views of the beautiful Maui waters, West Maui mountains, and Haleakala! Your perfect Maui getaway starts here in this spacious top floor unit at Haleakala Shores! Enjoy the open feel with vaulted ceilings and large windows in every room.

As you enter, you will be drawn to the private lanai with seating for four! Take in a magical Maui sunset while dining al fresco. Witness the majestic whales breaching from your lanai (during the season) or just relax with your favorite beverage.

The inviting living area offers the perfect spot to unwind after a fun-filled day on Maui! With plenty of comfortable seating, curl up to your favorite movie, complete with a large flat-screen Smart TV. Eat in! The kitchen is fully equipped with plate ware and utensils, as well as all of the cooking items any chef would need.

The guest suite closes off perfectly from the living area. Drift off to sleep in the cozy Queen bed. The en suite bath is complete with a shower, tiled vanity, and beautiful pecan cabinetry.

Your primary suite offers floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors with access to the private lanai. There is a California king bed with luxurious linens and a flat-screen Smart TV. The en suite bath offers a tub/shower combo.

Full-size washer/dryer allows for lighter packing.

We loved staying at Haleakala Shores unit B509! *It was walking distance to both Kama’ole Sands Beach Parks II and III. The owners left 4 beach chairs, coolers and some beach toys to make our beach days fun. *The view from the balcony was wonderful— I love being able to see the ocean from my balcony chair. *It was walking distance to several restaurants, too!*We loved the covered parking space! The car was never overly hot when we went out. *The unit was clean, but the kitchen was stocked with lots of pots, pans and plates, but very few glasses.*The unit was big! We loved having 2 beds and 2 bathrooms. We were comfortable because there were just 2 of us, but there wasn’t a real dining area, just a high top table with 2 chairs, which would be problematic for bigger groups or even 2 couples. There was also a lack of lighting in the living area— some standing lamps or lights on side tables would be helpful.Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at Haleakala Shores!

The unit is a study in contradictions. The location next to the beach with a great ocean view is wonderful, however it is also next to an area frequented by homeless people who often startled us with their yelling. The unit is huge and has everything you could possibly need, however it is crammed full of extra stuff in the kitchen so much so that there is no room to store food. It is well furnished, however the furniture is old and tired. It’s a pretty good value but we later found another place to stay in Wailea for the same price without the downsides. The Wailea unit didn’t have as good of a view or the proximity to the beach. So it comes down to what your priorities are.

This is a very spacious condo. We were a group of two couples who were there during the Kona storm in March 2026. There was plenty of room for us to hang out in the living room while the storm hit outside. There was even a 1000 piece puzzle there to occupy some of our time. The location in south Kīhei was very good to go out on walks in between rounds of rain with plenty of restaurants near by. It was also great to have a covered parking space to keep the rental protected. The downsides: I agree with prior posts that there is too much stuff in all the cupboards in the kitchen and bar, making no room to store groceries that we purchased in anticipation of power outages. There were so many old things that people will never use. We were fortunate that we didn’t lose power but did lose water for about 12 hours or so. When we were finally able to go to the beach on our last day there, the beach chairs they provided us were junk. They were rusty, smelled musty and the straps to carry them as backpacks were broken on all 4 of them. Also, the cleaning crew could do a better job. It is a vaulted space and the walls above hand reach were filthy, they clearly haven’t been cleaned in a long time with significant dust balls all over the walls. It was kind of gross actually, and I’m not at all a clean freak.

Great spot close to everything you need

Condo was great. High ceilings made it feel extra spacious and it was really nice to have AC. Kitchen was well stocked and beach gear including chairs, mats and coolers was really convenient. Fantastic location too as it was walkable to restaurants and beaches in Kehei.

Ocean views in Kehei

Great property. We love this property because it offers ocean views at an affordable price. We were staying with another couple and this was one of the few properties we found having two bedrooms each with a private full bathroom. It was also spacious with easy reserved parking across street from beach. We would recommend and stay there again.

Great place!

This was our 1st trip to Maui. This was a great place for 2 couples— 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. We could even see the ocean from our lanai. The place was clean and comfortable. We’d definitely stay here again. We really appreciated being able to use the beach equipment—towels, snorkeling gear, ice chest & chairs.

We enjoyed our stay. The beach park is just across the street. Paia Fish Market is a few blocks away. The place is exactly like the pictures posted. Some street traffic noise which is easily remedied by closing the windows and sliding doors. The kitchen is well equipped. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

Great family vacation!

We have stayed in many different units in the Haleakala complex, and this was one of our favourites. The layout of the bedrooms was great and there was plenty of space for our two kids and us. The unit was well stocked, we hoped there would have been a better supply of beach gear (ie. umbrella and boogie board(s)) but it was nice to have some beach toys and chairs accessible to us. We will definitely look to book this unit again! Communication with the property manager was easy and very simple check in and check out instructions.

Perfect!

The location was perfect for 2 couples, easy to get to all parts of the island. Very close to beach, restaurants and food trucks. The unit was super clean and just as pictured. Beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Management was super helpful. Possible con for some but pro for others, the pool has the strictest rules ever.

The size of the unit was great. The windows were nice, however it would be great to have blinds/shades to keep it cooler in the unit. The location next to the street can be a bit noisy also. The drains in bathroom and kitchen are running slow as well as a a leaky refrigerator. Condo management staff was top notch working with us to not interrupt our stay with repairs. Great collection of beach toys/chairs. There was no can opener, but otherwise nicely equipped kitchen. Would also be nice to have a lamp or two by the sofa area.

Lots of nice amenities such as the 4 beach chairs , although we did have to rent an umbrella. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils Parking in designated spot was really tight. Many residents were parking on the street . . We were surprised to walk into the rental with a blaring TV and cleaning products in sight. Looks like the cleaning team headed out quickly, although the unit was clean. Went to the pool once but lots of people chatting and not much of an opportunity to have some quite time to read a book. Surprised at the noise of the construction in a nearby unit. Would think all construction would be required to be during off peak season which is the norm in many resort locations. Overall , we loved our time in Maui.

Overall we had great time. Views from the balcony were fantastic, but views only does not makeup for some minor but annoying details. The one of the bathroom sinks was very slow and water did not sink fast enough. The bathtub sink in other bathroom was no better. Beach gear was ok, but 2 if the chairs were with broken holders and we're difficult to bring to the beach. There was lack of beach umbrellas too. The bed in the common bedroom was having a big gap toward the wall and all pillows were sinking into it. As I said these were minor annoying details that did not our stay worse. We adapted to it. But it would be better if management takes care and fixing it for the future renters. Property status did not match our expectations for the big money we paid for it. Mahalo.

Unit is infested with termites!

We were sadly disappointed with our 2 weeks stay. Soon after we arrived we noticed that the coffee table, and leather footstool were covered in small black particles which we soon found out are termite droppings! We sent pictures and complained. After many messages and phone calls they agreed to send pest control a week into our stay and a complimentary mid-stay cleaning. Even after this we continued to have to deal with waking up to many termite droppings all over the floor in the living room, and had to sweep up piles of these droppings each morning, which was very gross and unpleasant. The unit didn’t even have a very good broom! We complained again to and were told that they will send another exterminator on the day we were leaving so we could also have a late checkout, so more time to spend with the termites! We requested a discount and they offered us 20% off but the total discount ended up being about 16% off of what we were charged by VRBO. In my opinion this did not compensate us enough for the inconvenience and disgust we endured. If you can get past the termites the unit is quite dated and has seen better days. All of the appliances look like they are from the 90s. The kitchen has no can opener. The pans are all warped. The kitchen tiles have many chips in them. Half the chairs on the lanai are breaking. The unit was not very clean when we arrived. The beach chairs had broken off headrest cushions and most of the straps were broken and the metal rusted.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed with my family for a week and it was magical. The place was beautiful and well kept, the instructions were clear, everything was in the places they were supposed to be and they all worked the way they were supposed to work. No issues whatsoever! I highly recommend this place and should we come back to Maui, this will be the first place I look into staying. Also... we saved TONS OF MONEY on the booking, but also all the food that we were able to cook in our condo rather than eat out all week, like we would have had to do if we stayed in a hotel.
