A great stay in Captiva

The property is really beautiful. The caretaker keeps the place immaculate. The view off the balcony was amazing....we spent a lot of time there. The only thing...and its a super small thing, was that while the kitchen is well equipped, there was no pantry space for food items. No big deal, we moved some things and made space. Loved our stay, would absolutely come back.

We will be Back!

This was our second stay at 2B - it is the perfect location for myself and my husband who loves to fish. He is able to fish just feet away on the deck or in the water while I relax poolside. The Caretaker, Clyde is wonderful- he keeps the grounds immaculate and is always so helpful and friendly. Although the accommodations of 2B are beautiful, there are a couple of things we need to mention. We want to alert the owners to the fact that the refrigerator is leaking...we found we needed to mop up inside and outside the fridge several times...and have determined that this was not due to any leaking items within the fridge itself. The beach chairs and umbrella that are left for renters are in need of replacement - the umbrella is ripped, the chairs are rusty. Other that those two things I highly recommend this vacation home.

There are several items that need attention with this property.

There are several items that need attention with this property. The fridge is leaking water under the bottom shelf. The kitchen faucet hose leaks. There are no measuring cups. There are only a few coffee mugs, bowls, etc. We had to do dishes every day to have clean dishes. And we really only had breakfast each day and ate out the rest of the time. Cleaning could be improved. The floors in particular. Overall these are minor items, but just wanted to point them out.

Perfect for our family

The location of this property is perfect. It sits right on the back bay and a block from Andy Rosse Lane. The complex is only 8 units with a nice size pool. it was so nice sitting at the pool watching the boat traffic. The grounds are extremely well kept. The property manager lives on site and tends to the property every single day. The unit itself was perfect for our family of 4, with two boys ages 9 and 11. The master bedroom is spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The second bedroom has been converted so that there are pocket doors in the middle allowing the room to be split off. Each side has a twin bed so it was perfect for our two boys. There isn't a TV in the second bedroom however. There are areas of the unit that need some attention. Cabinetry is worn, kitchenware is sparse and random, limited bowls/cups/coffee mugs/etc., furniture is worn. But overall it's in good shape and again, the location and small condo complex is really nice. We've already booked for next year. The management company made everything easy. They do provide starter necessities like toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, etc. There is a 10:00 checkout which was a bit early for us, but maybe this is normal for the island.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Pool was beautiful, the setting was gorgeous, we could walk to several restaurants, enjoyed early morning sunrises....perfect vacation in every way. Everything went smoothly. everyone we dealt with was friendly and heplful.
