Great property for a large group

My group of 18 stayed at this property for a whirlwind three nights in Paris. Plenty of space to spread out between the two apartments. Be ready for lots of stairs but once you are in the apartment you are pleasantly surprised at the space and cuteness of the space. Ladane met us to tour the space and show us keys. Lovely patio area with a fig tree as well as a closed-in patio out back. Paris was in a heatwave and the AC was FANTASTIC. Lots of places to eat within a quick 5 minute walk, as well as a grocery store. 3 min walk to Botzaris Metro stop and 6 mins to Jourdain Metro stop. Would definitely stay again!

Phenomenal place and location!

We rented both the house and the duplex apartment, and could not have been more pleased! Everything went fantastically well, and we were delighted by the neighborhood. We were also very grateful for the addition of AC, which was very welcome in the hot summer days (and nights).

Home base for Girl Scout troop

What a fabulous accomodations! It was perfect for our group of 14 Girl Scouts to use as a home base for exploring the city. The apartments were clean and comfortable with bed space for everyone. We loved having some common gathering space to hang out and meet to plan and connect after a day exploring the city. We loved having a well-appointed kitchen to prepare breakfasts and pack lunches. There are several great restaurants within walking distance and they got to know us well at the boulangerie. Beautiful park right around the corner and easy access to metro lines made getting where we were going convenient. And the air conditioning!!! A rare treat indeed during a Paris summer.

Delightful!

This property was wonderful! Even better than the description on VRBO. There were 16 in our family group and we had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, 2 large places to gather, a great kitchen where we prepared breakfast each morning and a gorgeous sunroom/dining room. There was a market close by and well as convenient Metro stations. I can’t recommend this property enough!!!

Excellent choice for a large family party

The main apartment is very well equipped with good living space for a large party, four comfortable bedrooms above with two good bathrooms, and a basement where teenagers can hang out (three of ours slept there). There is also a duplex with further bedrooms and bathrooms, accessed up some stairs from a public area within the building; two of our party slept there. It was an ideal base for our big family group of 14. The nearby Parc is great, and it is close to two useful metro stations. Highly recommended. The nearby Bar L'Escargot does good food and the staff are very friendly.

Excellent place for a large family

We had an excellent stay at the house. The bedrooms were great, the living area was perfect for a celebration or just hanging out. Great kitchen and utensils for a large group. The conservatory was great for large family dinners. There are 4 rooms in the main house with 3 beds each (double + single sofa in each) and a basement with 3 single beds. The other apartment is on the 3rd floor (no lift) across the court yard with 2 bedrooms 3 beds each (same as house) lots of steps. 3 bathrooms so worked well. A little dated furniture but worked out great. Would definately stay again. Great location not too far from metro, shops and lovely park.

Lovely for a large group!

This house and flat combo was everything we had wanted. Somewhere large to house 18 of us celebrating. Could have done with a few more duvets in the main house. I also misunderstood thinking the flat was above the house but it’s actually in another building opposite. However this did not pose any problems whatsoever to our group. Some of the furnishings and blinds are tired but this again wasn’t a problem for us. Just perfect for our needs!

Good for large group, but stairs!

We were a group of 13 extended family & stayed for 3 days. Well equipped unit, it was as described/pictured on listing. The only downside is that three of the bedrooms are located on the top floors of a 4 story block, with no elevator, so those would not be good for stair-adverse travelers. The main unit also is split into three levels (plus a basement) with all the bedrooms on the 2nd & 3rd levels. Very easy access to the Botzartis Metro station, only one block away, but again accessible via a set of 2 flights of stairs on the street (plus of course the stairs to get down into the Metro).

Large group trip

Had a great time at this property with a group of 15 family and friends. Property had plenty of room spread out between two separate apartments. Main apartment provided room for family happy hours and dinners. Easy walk to taxi’s and metro stations. Air conditioning and cleanliness of place was great. Downsides of property: there is a cat that lives in one of the other units and urinates in the courtyard in front of the main apartment and if the door is open you can smell the cat urine. The other issue was on the lower level floor the people sleeping down there can here all the pipes flowing throughout the unit all night long. Very loud when they are trying to sleep. That being said…. this was a great value for the money and would stay again.

Nice lodgings in a wonderful location

When I previewed the location on Google earth I was a little worried - but I need not have been. A great family neighborhood with easy access to cafés, boulangeries, grocery stores and metro. Out of the door and right uphill takes you to the charming area of Belleville. Also to a 3x a week street market at Place des Fêtes. The metro from there is good for getting anywhere, though it can be crowded. Out to the left and down the steps takes you to a great café and boulangerie and to Botzaris metro. The green line easily intersects with other lines to get anywhere in Paris. The house and apartment are great - Aircon in every room and enough bathrooms for our family of 15..We had a bit of difficulty deciphering the settings for the ovens and dryer. Not a language problem, more a hieroglyphics issue! The host was extremely accomodating and responded very quickly to any questions. Highly recommended by a very satisfied group with ages ranging from 10-83. No one wanted to leave! Thank you!

Great for family reunion EXCEPT for the skeleton key situation

We held our family reunion during the Paris Olympics and were pleased to find this place that could accommodate us all (four families) for the full two weeks. The location in the 19th arrondissement is situated between the Botzaris and Jourdain metro stations in a lovely neighborhood right near a beautiful and huge park. We liked being out of the hustle and bustle of the center of Paris and in a quieter neighborhood. We rented the big house with four bedrooms, each with a double bed and an extra twin bed, and twin beds/couches in the basement with enough space to house 6 people (except it was a little musty even with the fans going so we only used it sparingly). We also rented the associated apartment (fourth floor walkup) with two bedrooms and enough beds/couches for 10 people. The landlord was very responsive and allowed us a very late checkout today at 4pm (usually 10:30am) which was very much appreciated. The main downside of the place is they use antiquated skeleton keys that are required to get in AND out of the main door of the building. And we only had 6 keys between all of the people coming and going. More than a few times we were locked out or in (scary in the case of a potential fire) and there's also a middle door that other tenants sometimes locked so again we were locked in or out. With so many people coming and going during the Olympics this was a HUGE drawback of staying at this place despite all the positives mentioned before.

Parfait mais décevant

La localisation est top, à proximité du parc des Buttes Chaumont et de commerces, dans un quartier très agréable. Le logement est spacieux, les chambres agréables, dans une cour lumineuse et très calme. Belle véranda pour prendre les repas, vaste sous-sol qui sert de salle de jeu aux enfants. Par contre le standing n’est pas au niveau, canapé usé, miroir cassé, lavabo ébréché, plan de cuisine gonflé par l’eau, électricité dysfonctionnelle dans la cage d’escalier, déco très cheap. Quant au ménage, comment espérer qu’une personne seule, même de bonne volonté, puisse faire seule le ménage d’un aussi grand logement, le résultat n’est forcément pas au niveau attendu pour une location de ce prix.

Excellent place for large family

We stayed for one week at the house / apartment. everything you need for your stay is included in the rental. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Kitchens are fully stacked and ready to be used. The dinning area in the house is perfect for an evening gathering. WIFI worked flawlessly. The neighborhood is a little far away from the main sites in Paris but the metro is less than 2 minutes away and for us it worked perfectly. Communication was A+ and my family and myself had a great time in Paris.

Roomy apartment perfect for a trip with a group of friends

We had a great stay in this apartment. It had spacious rooms, all the facilities and equipment we could need and lovely communal spaces for hanging out. Really enjoyed the neighbourhood - it was well located for public transport, supermarket, bakeries and bars. There’s a great park nearby too.

Large Space, Close to Metro

Overall this property met our needs. The students stayed in the house and the adults stayed in the apartment (separated by a small courtyard.) We felt safe as there were 2 sets of locked doors at the entrance and the residences also locked. It has wi-fi and was very close to 2 Metro stops and options for food and basic shopping. It was unseasonably hot when we stayed and it did not have air conditioning as advertised. Fans were provided. Our flight was late and they waited to check us into the residence. The rooms were spacious and comfortable.

Nice property in an area of Paris that is not crawling with tourists. Great proximity to Butte de Chaumont which is a glorious park. Also near fantastic market at Belleville. It needs to be stressed that for groups booking both properties they do not directly interconnect and access is via a staircase and corridor which holiday makers share with resident Parisians so only considerate people should book this property.

We loved our place!

Super clean, nice property. We loved the area. We were competing in Paris with a school group of 24 (students and adults). It was a great place and we would definitely book again.
