Outstanding

The owners were quick to greet us witj a smile as we pulled up on our motorcycles. They were nothing bit friendly, never hesitating to accommodate us. The nightly community camp fire was an amazing touch. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

Random Trip

Planned a random trip up by Lake George, never been and this is where we decided to stay last minute...Awesome people, great location.....peaceful quiet yet only 20-25 minutes from the Village of Lake George!! Host were amazing and helpful made us feel like we've known them forever....cabin was very clean and had exactly what we needed....we will be back!! Giny and Bob

Rustic Cabin in the Mountains

Our cabin was very rustic. We were lacking some necessary things in the kitchen but Wendy and Anthony, the owners were quick to supply us with all new items.They are the new owners since January and are still learning about their property. My one negative was that I chose this place for its nearness to Loon Lake as my husband is an avid fisherman but the lake is across the street and there was no place for him to fish. Great for families to vacation and skiers and snow mobilers.

We did our best to supply everything you requested. The only thing we can not change is that the Lake is directly across from the entrance to the property. I try to make that clear. We spoke almost every day and the fishing issue was never mentioned. People fish at the lake all the time. In the summer and ice fishing in the winter. I don't know why you didn't know where to go. There are plenty of places to fish. I wish you would have said something about this and we could have helped. You seemed to enjoy your stay regardless. Hope we see you again.

much too rustic for my taste

I literally felt like every piece of furniture in the "chalet" belonged in the Thrifty Shopper. I didn't feel very safe - only one entrance/exit - what if there was a fire? The situation about the locks on the doors was laughable. The main door lock was a cheap padlock. Inside, the door lock was a hook and eye. The owners told us it was "very safe." Our bedroom was smelly/moldy.

There are pictures on VRBO of EXACTLY what the cabin looks like. People can decide for themselves if they like the decor. If safety was really an issue then let's really BE HONEST. You tried to scam us by sneaking 9 PEOPLE in a cabin that was for 4. You created a fire hazard by lying to my face about how many people were in the cabin multiple times. First you said 4, then you told me 6 people and then it turned out to be 9!!! What you are really upset about is that you got caught. VRBO advised us to ask you and your crew to leave the property because you broke the house rules. The amount of people the cabin could accommodate was clearly stated on VRBO, our website, and the confirmation you received. In spite of that we decided to go above and beyond and was gracious enough to offer you another cabin that held 4 people. We still allowed you the extra person just so your entire families vacation was not ruined. We didn't charge you for this courtesy and to now go on the internet and make up lies and slander our business is despicable.

A Weekend Get Away

We had a great time staying on this property! Wendy was very accommodating and went above and beyond to meet our needs. We enjoyed the quiet, campfires and being so close to lake! We will definitely be back again, thanks!

Place was okay but very outdated

Could use a little TLC from the owners. Very outdated and was pretty dirty but the location was pretty good.

I apologize if this cabin didn’t meet you expectations. We are new owners and have been making lots of improvements to update and extensively clean the cabins inside and out. There were new bedspreads and curtains, as well as a new refrigerator and furnishings. We use the highest standards to clean and disinfect each cabin. I wish you would have let me know when we chatted and I took your picture while playing corn hole. I certainly would have tried to correct anything you were dissatisfied with. We even accommodated your pet although we usually don’t in that cabin. Hopefully you will join us again and give us another opportunity to serve you.

Perfect getaway

Twin Pines offered the perfect winter getaway for me and my family. Wendy and Anthony were fantastic. The bonfires were nice on chilly winter nights. My kids are already asking when we can go back.
