Atypical apartment located in the heart of Bayeux, less than 5 minutes walk from Bayeux Cathedral, the Baron Gérard Museum (MAHB) and the Queen Mathilde Tapestry.
It consists of a very bright Loft part with its large bay windows and composed of a large lounge area, a fully equipped American kitchen and a pleasant dining area.
The corridor deserts the first bedroom (double bed), a bathroom with a shower and a spa bath and leads you to the surprising element of the apartment: a large bedroom (2 single beds) in the 19th century style with moldings, marble fireplace and period parquet flooring.

Great location. Beautiful city. The manager was very helpful. Lovely apartment. Entrance was a fairly typical euro street access with long narrow dark hall. But normal. Good kitchen shower and beds. No a/c but not required.

Clean apartment in a perfect position to explore Bayeaux. We never saw or talked with the host after reserving the apartment as they turn the management over to a "concierge" service. Since we were getting there after 7:00 p.m. we had to pay an extra 30 euros to have someone check us in. He was very gracious, carried our bags up the flight of stairs and explained everything. Check out was very easy. We would definitely stay there again.

This apartment was in a good location as the listing indicated, but it was not a pleasant stay due to lack of cleanliness, uncomfortable bedding, and an angry neighbor. First, the common stairwell to get to the second-floor apartment was filthy, with visible dirt, drywall debris and dust, and who knows what else all over the floors and stairs. Even worse, the entire stairwell and hallway reeked of a foul sewage odor. Inside the unit, the floors were very dusty, and the fan in the bedroom was also so dusty that it couldn't be used, as it just blew dust all over (not tolerable for individuals with asthma or allergies), so, despite the absence of air conditioning, we couldn't use the bedroom fan for sleeping. The shower didn't drain properly, and there was visible dirt and grime in a crevice between the tub and shower. The primary bedroom had terrible pillows (flat, lumpy, no support) without proper pillowcases (only the decorative shams that go with the duvet cover, which had uncomfortable patchwork seams all over them, not comfortable for sleeping on). Also very limited towels (strictly one per person), which limited our ability to dry the bathroom floor when it flooded due to the poor drainage in the shower. Finally, an angry upstairs neighbor came down and verbally berated us for a door that slammed due to wind (because of open windows). A very unpleasant stay.

We sincerely regret that some aspects did not meet your expectations. In order to offer a quality experience, we would like to provide some clarifications and details: The condition of the stairwell and the reported odor were immediately forwarded to the condominium manager so that a thorough inspection and cleaning could be carried out (work in the building). Regarding the room’s fan, it is however a new piece of equipment. We reminded the housekeeper to ensure it was thoroughly dusted before every arrival. We have a plumber involved to check the shower drain. Regarding bathroom linen, our standard equipment includes one large and one small towel per person as well as a bath mat for the bathroom floor. We pay particular attention to the comfort of our travelers and provide quality pillows. For your information, the sheets provided have a printed patchwork effect pattern and therefore do not have raised seams that could have hampered your sleep. We deeply regret the unpleasant interaction you had with the neighbor. Your experience does not match the quality of service we wish to offer our travelers. Thank you for your feedback, which allows us to make the necessary corrections immediately.

Apartment was perfect for both my wife and I during a very enjoyable 4 day stay in Bayeux - located right in the centre of town along side all the shops and restaurants. Free car parking was less than a 5min stroll away. Communication with host Camille and the concierge was perfect. Thanks to you both.

Great place in the centre of the city

We had a great stay at the apartment. It is well-appointed and comfortable, and is close to all the sights. There are shops and restaurants all around but it was quiet at night. A nice place from which to explore Bayeux.
