Diese Wohnung ist in einem eher traditionellen Stil eingerichtet, der an die alten Canadian-Pacific-Hotels erinnert, bevor diese modernisiert und ins 21. Jahrhundert gebracht wurden. Der Tisch und die Stühle aus massiver Erle lassen einen eher an eine Postkutschenherberge aus dem 19. Jahrhundert denken als an eine Eigentumswohnung des 21. Jahrhunderts. Ein altmodischer Teewagen dient gleichzeitig als Beistelltisch und verleiht dem Wohnbereich einen Hauch von altmodischem Charme. Einige antike Kunstwerke zieren die Wände und vermitteln das Gefühl einer vergangenen Zeit. Das Kunstledersofa im Wohnbereich würde auch in einem Gentlemen’s Club nicht fehl am Platz wirken. This property is in a very good location. The bath area upstairs is just that-an area in the loft; there is no door between the sink, shower and toilet and the sleeping area. Upon arrival towels in the downstairs bath were damp and most of the surfaces were quite dusty. The fans provided would benefit from updating/replacing. Again, the condo is in a good location.

Hello Marianne, We are sorry you did not connect with us during your stay. We have not changed any wording or pictures since you initiated your booking. The upper floor is open plan/lofted and is described as such. We understood that the booking was for 4 guests so we imagined this was two couples. Most of our guests travel as a family or a group of friends, When we live in our condo we do much the same, but do not find having an open plan bathroom an issue as we enjoy the mountain views. We completely understand that everyone has different feelings about proximity. It is a running battle for housekeeping to keep the condo, dust free during forest fire season. The particulates from the smoke covered everything in the dry summer weather, within minutes of cleaning the dust reappears. We do clean our carpets, but halfway through peak season, they do become dirty as guests don’t always take their shoes off. Towels are always washed, without question after every guest. We think that housekeeping may have put them out damp thinking the dry summer air would dry them off. We use small portable fans to allow maximum guest comfort. Larger fans can topple over. A new security system has been installed and has had som hiccups. The condo board are working very hard to resolve this situation. Safe travels! Richard and Dallas

Ski Vacation

Convenient location to shopping, Canmore town Center and local hikes. Travel to Banff Sunshine and Lake Louise ski areas were under an hour drive. Would stay again.

With the introduction of some new parking restrictions, the ability to park a vehicle and walk to most of Canmore's amenities is a real boon for both ourselves as a family, and for the wonderful guests, we share our home with.

We really enjoyed our time in Canmore - this place felt like a cozy home. The condo was set up nicely for what we needed, including the kitchen, and was clean. Richard and Dallas replied instantly when I had a question and kept checking in which was great. My only issue was that I didn’t realize the upstairs en suite bathroom was open air.

We feel very lucky that the condo is so well situated within the town, with access to most facilities on foot. We are sorry that it wasn't entirely clear that the loft area is open plan. We particularly chose this style of condo as we are on the fourth floor and this gives us less noise and absolutely beautiful views of the mountains, through the massive windows. We arrived there mid night and rooms were mess and unorganized and used towels were hung in everywhere and bedsheets and beds were used and I felt like this condo got robbed so we slept on sofa on first day but we talked to host and next day she fixed everything and she did not charge the first day wow And the location was very convenient and market was 1min away walk and other than first day we had a good vacation from Los Angeles we will come back here again

Naturally, we are very disappointed to get a three star review, considering we normally aim much higher. Unfortunately, on this occasion we dropped the ball. Housekeeping had not prepared the room which is why we felt justified in giving a refund for that night, it seemed like the only fair thing we could do. As remote hosts, had we been in town, we would have corrected the mistake instantly. There was spare linen in the closet, but I don't expect guests to have to hunt around for linens, especially if they have arrived late in the evening. a peaceful place to stay with great views

Excellent & quickly responsive service from the owners! The unit is very clean & well equipped. The availability of the Canada National Parks pass was a very pleasant surprise - we used it on many days. A very peaceful place to stay; great views of both sides of the valley from the front room & balcony. Hope to make use of it again!

Location Location Location! Thanks for your kind comments regarding our condo, but being in such a beautiful part of the world helps. Our top floor, lofted condo really gives wonderful uninterrupted views of the Canadian Rockies, but with all the comforts of home. The condo is also very close to most of Canmore amenities. Amazing!!

Wow, my girlfriends and I thoroughly enjoyed our accommodations at Rentals in the Rockies! The suite was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. It was an excellent location for us and we will definitely be returning. We'll recommend Rentals in the Rockies to all of our friends too!

We had originally been approached by a vacation rental company to manage our condos, but after 10 months without a single booking we had to step in and start managing our condos ourselves. This is how Rentalsintherockies was born. Necessity, being the mother of invention, rather than us feeling we could easily start a vacation rental company. Now after 15 years we have met some great families and groups of friends who stay with us regularly, but there is still plenty to learn.

You will witness Dallas’s flair for design as she has personalised each of our suites to reflect a calm and restful environment for you. As a family owned business, we have taken extra care to make sure you have everything you need when you arrive onsite from towels to teabags, there is even a sample of some local chocolate. We recommend visiting Le chocolatier at 121, 701 Benchlands Trail, Canmore for some great gifts to take home if they make it that far! All you need to do is come and enjoy. As well as being a designer, Dallas is an actress, playing small parts in hundreds of movies and British TV shows, from the first “Star Wars” movie to the hit Netflix show “The Crown” and “Downton Abbey”. Some of Dallas’s photos and memorabilia are on display in unit 407.

I am a entertainer and a qualified piano technician. I always joke and say I am the only performer to have toured in secrecy! I play keyboards and sing and according to Dallas, I am funny. Maybe not always intentionally! I am also our family’s wannabe Canadian. In all the times I have traveled to Canada there isn’t one occasion when I haven’t looked forward to the visit. Although I have visited many provinces, being able to visit a year round destination, like Canmore, is great for us when planing a tri

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Now, you may be wondering why two people who live in the UK decided upon the beautiful town of Canmore in the Canadian Rockies, to be our home away from home. Although born in London, England, Dallas has always had a strong Canadian connection. Dallas spent many fond childhood years on the Canadian Prairies. Her father John was a Canadian soldier during WWII, and he met her mother, Kathleen, one rainy evening at a dance hall while he was serving at the Canadian Embassy in Trafalgar Square, London. After a whirlwind war-bride romance, and shortly prior to his deployment to France they were married. After the war John, his bride Kathleen, Dallas and her brother Terry moved back to his home town of Beausejour, deep in the Canadian Prairies. When Dallas was a teenager she decided to return to her home away from home, England. Our son Adam, who thanks to his Grandfather’s influence currently serves with the Royal Canadian Air Force and has maintained our strong connection with Canada. We first visited the Canadian Rockies when Adam was posted to Edmonton in 1999. We stayed with friends and decided to explore the area. It was then when we realised how beautiful Canmore is and how much it has to offer. Its proximity to not only Alberta’s major cities and airports, but also to Banff and the incredible Canadian Rockies make it an ideal destination. It was love at first sight.

From a short walk along Policemans Creek to grab a coffee to stretching your legs on some of the mountain trails. There is something for guests of all abilities.
