Downtown Penthouse, Contemporary Film Memorabilia Decor

This unit is decorated with Film and T.V. Memorabilia collected over the last 30 years from different productions we have worked on as extras. The signed autograph pictures are from the various celebrities we have met over the years. We have tried to keep the soft furnishings quite contemporary and minimalist to fit in with the numerous black and white photos hung around the apartment. We filmed Superman 3 in Calgary in 1988 and if you look closely you will see an actual front page of The Calgary Herald newspaper in the kitchen featuring Richard Pryor and our son Adam as a boy. The baseball cap in the shadow box was the one worn by the film's director Richard Lester.

Excellent communication and information from the hosts was very helpful to make our stay go smoothly.The unit was clean, well-stocked and very nicely decorated. There are comfortable beds for 4 adults, but the sofa beds are more suited for children rather than adults (we were a group of 7 adults). The location is excellent and a great base from which to explore the area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.

Convenient location

Having the grocery store and restaurants within walking distance was a big plus. Also, having highway 1 close by and use of the National Park pass was nice.

Perfect homebase for a week in Banff & area

This was a perfect spot for a week of sightseeing and skiing in the rockies. It's super close to everything you could possibly need. The condo itself is clean, cozy and has a great mountain vibe. The movie decor is a fun touch. Getting in and out was simple. I would 100% stay here again if I was in the area.

Canmore Complete

We had a fantastic week in this very beautiful part of our country. Nothing better after a day out exploring than to return to a warm and welcoming home. From a great downtown location, close to everything and a perfect base for walking to no worries that whatever we needed was not there, this space was perfect.Recommended, and when next we return to the Canmore area, we will be back

Great location

This condo is in a great location, easy walk to everything and lots of stuff nearby. Everything was confortable and Kitchen is well equipped. It is worth noting that the upstairs (loft) bathroom is open (no door) which was fine for us but might not work for everyone.

Lovely, well located apartment

Lovely, well equipped property, very close to the centre of Canmore so easy walking to shops and restaurants. Great view of the three sisters from the balcony and super clean hot tub on the roof! Heated, assigned parking, close to elevator. Made a great base to explore the rockies.

Perfect location

Easy Peasy access to skiing. We loved the unit, and the fact that you reserve your hottub time. Banff park pass included with rental saves money. Every staple you need is within walking distance. Couldn't ask for a better rental.

My two-day stay at the condo for a holiday was a delightful experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was impressed by the cleanliness and vintage amenities of the condo. The living space was cozy yet spacious enough to accommodate my needs comfortably. The condo's location was ideal, offering easy access to nearby attractions and Banff. The seamless booking process, comfortable accommodation, easy parking and prime location made for a memorable holiday getaway. The owners were very involved with anything you needed to know or confirm. It was easy access to get in and out, and the location was absolutely perfect to walking distance into town as well as shopping right outside your door for groceries, etc. I would suggest at some point, they update furniture as it’s a bit tired looking.

Great apartment

Would highly recommend this property. The location is fantastic, based a few minutes walk from the centre of Canmore and close to a number of bars and restaurants. Canmore itself is great for those looking to experience what the area has to offer with great links to Banff and Lake Louise. The apartment was clean and stocked with everything we could need. The on-site gym and parking were added bonuses. Communication from the owners was timely, and the check-in arrangements were simple. Thanks Richard and Dallas.

Amazing!

Wow what a great condo! The views are breath taking and the condo itself is the ultimate in comfort with some very creative and stylish decor. Extremely clean and a lot bigger than I first thought with everything you need for a relaxing break. I spent a good few weeks exploring the mountains and local areas. The local people are so friendly and helpful and there are some great restaurants in Canmore to fill the nights when you don't fancy cooking in the well equipped kitchen! Ski and snowboarding is great from this location as it's not to far to multiple wicked resorts. The guys at Rentals in the Rockies make it so easy to book and the service is second to none. Thanks very much for a much needed break and will be back for another stay! Glen

Although our condos are only part of your travel experience we feel we must keep trying our best to keep up the standard of service which we would expect ourselves. To be totally honest. The condo itself was amazing but overall for the stay we were a little disappointed and here is why…..to get into the building you needed a code for the elevator which wasn’t the greatest experience. Firstly the code was incorrect now if it was just my husband and I it wouldn’t be that big of a deal but when you have luggage and a 3 year old toddler stuck in a elevator that won’t move it wasn’t the best way to start a vacation. Then when it came to the hot tub, in the listing it said we had access to all 3 hot tubs which isn’t accurate. We only had access to 1 which we couldn’t use the first day we got there because it was all booked up. You can’t prebook so it left us a little disappointed not being able to use the amenities. Next time would have liked to use the hot tub a little more often then just the 1 half hour or hour you were allotted to. Overall we had a lovely time with our daughter. The condo itself was super clean and worked perfect for our little family. Was stoked up with everything you needed. Thank you so much.

Unfortunately the entry codes were changed at short notice by our condo board and sorry to say you arrived just after the change. We were traveling from England to Canada and dropped the ball. We completely understand that traveling with youngsters can be stressful at the best of times, although we think our team here in Canmore were able to help you gain access to the building. Booking hot tubs is a hangover from covid and has remained in place, to try and give all guests an opportunity to have the tubs to themselves. Each elevator has the QR codes to access the hot tub for that building. We haven’t had any negative comments before, but we can make this clearer in our pre-arrival documentation so guests can access all hot tubs. Thank you for pointing this out. Thank you so much for your kind comments regarding the condo itself. We have a wonderful housekeeping team and they do a fabulous job for us. We have tried to decorate each of our condos in a unique and interesting homey way. We want our guests to feel they are renting a home, not just a space. This unit is well appointed and comfortable. It may have been sometime since it was occupied - as it was a bit stuffy, and dusty. The amenities were good and the unit is walking distance to grocery, shopping and restaurants. The balcony has a bbq and great views! It should be noted the lofted bathroom open in the loft.

We had originally been approached by a vacation rental company to manage our condos, but after 10 months without a single booking we had to step in and start managing our condos ourselves. This is how Rentalsintherockies was born. Necessity, being the mother of invention, rather than us feeling we could easily start a vacation rental company. Now after 15 years we have met some great families and groups of friends who stay with us regularly, but there is still plenty to learn.

As a family owned business, we have taken extra care to make sure you have everything you need when you arrive onsite from towels to teabags, there is even a sample of some local chocolate. We recommend visiting Le chocolatier at 121, 701 Benchlands Trail, Canmore for some great gifts to take home if they make it that far! All you need to do is come and enjoy. As well as being a designer, Dallas is an actress, playing small parts in hundreds of movies and British TV shows, from the first “Star Wars” movie to the hit Netflix show “The Crown” and “Downton Abbey”. Some of Dallas’s photos and memorabilia are on display in unit 407.

I am a entertainer and a qualified piano technician. I always joke and say I am the only performer to have toured in secrecy! I play keyboards and sing and according to Dallas, I am funny. Now, you may be wondering why two people who live in the UK decided upon the beautiful town of Canmore in the Canadian Rockies, to be our home away from home. Although born in London, England, Dallas has always had a strong Canadian connection. Dallas spent many fond childhood years on the Canadian Prairies. Her father John was a Canadian soldier during WWII, and he met her mother, Kathleen, one rainy evening at a dance hall while he was serving at the Canadian Embassy in Trafalgar Square, London. After a whirlwind war-bride romance, and shortly prior to his deployment to France they were married. After the war John, his bride Kathleen, Dallas and her brother Terry moved back to his home town of Beausejour, deep in the Canadian Prairies. When Dallas was a teenager she decided to return to her home away from home, England. Our son Adam, who thanks to his Grandfather’s influence currently serves with the Royal Canadian Air Force and has maintained our strong connection with Canada. We first visited the Canadian Rockies when Adam was posted to Edmonton in 1999. We stayed with friends and decided to explore the area. It was then when we realised how beautiful Canmore is and how much it has to offer. Its proximity to not only Alberta’s major cities and airports, but also to Banff and the incredible Canadian Rockies make it an ideal destination. It was love at first sight.

Located downtown and close to all amenities, shops, art galleries, supermarkets. Bike rentals just below the condo and a very short walk the the trial heads in and around Canmore. From a short walk along Policemans Creek to grab a coffee to stretching your legs on some of the mountain trails. There is something for guests of all abilities.
