A Poolside Paradise - Villa 340

A Poolside Paradise is a beautiful, renovated 2 bedroom, 1 bath second-floor entry end unit villa located in the oceanfront Villa by The Sea Resort (VBTS). This 17-acre resort is located on the north side of Jekyll Island directly adjacent to the world-famous Driftwood Beach which ranks #3 in the US and #12 in the world by TripAdvisor’s “Best of the Best Beaches”. Directly across the road is Horton Pond, a natural habitat that is perfect for bird watching and seeing other wildlife.

When you enter the villa, you will find a bright and open floorplan living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker. Sliding glass doors lead to a balcony overlooking the large outdoor pool with peek-a-boo views of the ocean. The living room has a media cabinet with a flat screen 50-inch TV offering Direct TV, state of the art Wi-Fi, and comfortable seating.

On the second level you will find a large main bedroom with a queen-size bed with plenty of storage for clothes in drawers and the closet. There is also a flat screen TV. This room features sliding doors leading to a small balcony overlooking the pool with more views of the ocean. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds for the kids or extra guests, along with a flat screen TV. Our Villa is family friendly and comes with a Pack-n-Play and booster highchair seat. A large, shared hall bathroom has been beautifully remodeled and updated featuring 2 sinks and a tub/shower combo.

For your convenience, the resort has a restaurant and tavern, as well as a business center and snack/gift shop (open 24 hours/day). Gas and charcoal grills are steps from the unit, right next to the pool. Our villa is just steps away from the boardwalk and pavilion, which has many chairs for you to sit and enjoy stunning ocean views.

Children can enjoy the Pirate Ship playground and the kiddie pool. Families can enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, and cornhole at the resort. The resort also has a fitness room, bike rentals, and discounted golf tickets.

The island abounds with natural beauty; over two thirds of the island is protected habitat of beautiful live oak trees and marshes. Birds and wildlife (including alligators) abound. Jekyll Island is close enough for day trips to Cumberland Island, St. Simons Island, the Okefenokee Swamp, Jacksonville, and Savannah. Jacksonville Airport is one hour away.

The island boasts three 18-hole golf courses, a tennis center, twenty-five miles of bike/walking paths and a fishing pier. Tours of the historic district, the beautiful Gilded Age “cottages", and Mosaic Museum are available. Other activities include the Tidelands Nature Center, Guided Kayak Tours, Horseback riding, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, and the Summer Waves water park.

This unit includes linens, a starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, and some personal amenity items (note that these items will not be replenished during your stay).

NOTE: Rental guests are not allowed to have pets in the cottage at any time. This doesn’t imply that the rental is a completely pet-free property. If our no pet or no smoking policy is broken, a $1000 fine will be charged to the card on file AND you will be asked to vacate the property without a refund.
