What a wonderful time we had. From the start, the owner worked with us to give us a great stay. We rent condos in Kihei a few times a year. This condo is by far one of the nicest we've stayed in. It's been upgraded and is well stocked. Air conditioning was needed and it worked perfectly in all rooms. Thank you so much. We'll be back.

Great location, outstanding hostFive nights in September, solo. Kamaole Beach II is a two-minute walk, and shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Fifth floor with a wide view — the evening light from the lanai was a highlight.Diane is an exceptional host. Detailed arrival documents, a thorough local guide with her own recommendations, and she checked in when a hurricane passed near the island.Note that this is a condo rather than a hotel — bring coffee, buy extra toilet paper, and stop for groceries on the way from the airport. Everything was clean and exactly as described. Highly recommended.

place was clean,parking was easy, great view,older furniture,small bathroom,nice kitchen. But a/c to run efficienly and cost effective it’s best when leaving the condo to place the a/c on low instead of off so when you do come back to the unit the a/c doesn’t have to work extra hard and costly to get the room back to cool and a current adjustable ceiling fan in living room would also help cool down the room quick instead of just a low moving ceiling fan

Thank you for your feedback, although I do wish you would have discussed this with me while you were there. I have guests with a variety of preferences and most do not use the AC because they prefer the breeze that blows through. So we do not keep the AC on while the place is unattended. You were free of course to use the AC throughout your stay and you said you did so. Both ceiling fans do have 3 speeds and my cleaner reported that they were working properly when she checked after your departure. Also if you had contacted me, I could have given you instructions about other features in the condo you seemed to have difficulty with and needed repair after your departure. I do hope future guests will put this review in the context of over 100 other five star reviews.

The Condo was very clean and suited our needs, had plenty of equipment for the beach as well which is a bonus. Private parking was nice as well as the convenience of being right across the street from the beach. Diane was great with communication and let us know about the condition of the road after all of the storms.

Ocean visible, easy walk to local beach where we swam at least twice each day. Property is quiet, away from main road. Well equipped kitchen, clear instructions, our few questions were promptly answered. My second time at Kihei Akahi, would definitely return.

Wonderful condo with a wonderful view of the ocean. The complex is beautifully kept with 2 pools and gorgeous shrubbery, short walk to the beach.

Location and view fabulous.

Great location in South Kihei. It’s about a 3 minute walk to great Kamole Beaches. The owner has equipped the condo with practically everything you could need. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in Kihei

Well located and equipped property with views of the ocean and the sunset. Lovely beaches just over the road, 5 minutes walk away. Good restaurants nearby. A family friendly, well maintained condo building, with nice grounds and two pools. We really enjoyed our stay and thank you to our hosts.

Great Sunset views

The Unit is well situated across the street from the Beach and has fantastic views of sunset every night. It has a well appointed kitchen for those who like to cook and is in a well maintained and quiet property close to beach and all amenities.

Kihei stay - outstanding

Location and unit were amazing. The views from the lanai are incredible. The unit itself is well maintained, very clean and comfortable. The kitchen amenities were very clean and a good variety to use if you decide to stay in and cook. We really enjoyed the place and the owner was very helpful and responded immediately. This has been a great vacation and would stay here again.

Picture yourself sipping drinks on a beautiful lanai overlooking the ocean at sunset in Kihei, Maui. This condo is beautifully decorated, with a comfy bed. The kitchen has everything you could possible need to cook. The location is great with wonderful beaches and delicious restaurants within easy walking distance. Great Stay in Kihei

We love Kihei Akahi. Booking and checkin were simple and convenient. The unit was clean and well stocked. We used the beach chairs and umbrella every time we went to the beach. The unit had an ocean view. We were even able to see the July 4th fireworks show. There are several places to eat within walking distance, Coconuts being our favorite. We will definitely stay here again.

Great Lani view

Before we arrived, the host sent check in instructions and also included information about where to shop, entertainment, and sightseeing. This information was a Plus! The condo was supplied with beach needs, a totally equipped kitchen, a/c in living room and bedroom, although it wasn’t needed. Host responded quickly to emails. I’ll happily stay here again. Wonderful vacation location

Just Perfect!

Diane's condo has a fabulous view (one of my main criteria), completely upscale furnishings and kitchen with all necessary amenities. Have beach chairs, umbrella and small cooler were icing on the cake. She was quick to respond to our issue with the sun shared and followed up. This is a great location for Kihei - everything is walkable from this location - Kama'ole Beach II is directly across the road. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Annual Aguirre Vacation

The condo was perfect!! The view, the set up, accessibility and of course the area made it all worth it. This was our 5th trip to Maui and our second stay at the same condo facility. Our stay at Kihei Akahi unit D514

This was our 4th time staying at Kihei Akahi and we had a fantastic time. The view from the 5th floor was incredible. Everything we needed was in the condo and even though it has air conditioning we didn't use it as there was always a breeze blowing. We certainly hope to be back again in the near future. Thanks for your 5 star review. I’m not sure you were aware, but there is a sun shade on the lanai that blocks the sun to the condo, but not the view, which seems the best compromise. Glad you appreciated the kitchen. We do try to stock it with good quality implements. Aloha!!

Great condo

We loved the view from the balcony where we spent several hours. The easy beach access was a bonus as was the swimming pool area just steps from our front door. The fact that everything was functional and in good repair was not taken for granted. From our perspective, we believe Jarrod is an ‘Ace’ for you as he tended to a couple of MINOR issues - like sorting out the TV remotes - both promptly and professionally. Many thanks!

Beautiful view and very comfortable

Diane equipped the unit with everything we could have needed. She was responsive when there was a small condo issue. The view of the lanai is truly 180 degrees of blue ocean. The grounds and the pool of Kihei Akahi are also pretty and nicely located close to shops and restaurants. I wish the Lana’i were bigger and didn’t have the ac unit blowing warm air but it wasn’t a big deal.

Thank you for the nice review. It really is best to turn off the AC when the door is open and people are on the lanai. This conserves energy, and prevents the warm air from the AC from being blown back into the condo by the ocean breeze. The size of the lanai is as pictured, in case future guests are wondering. There are 2 bar height chairs and table for seeing the view over the rail and 2 extra chairs for friends or family. Mahalo.
