"Enchanting-Wohnung im Herzen der Stadt, zweiten Stock. Das Hotel liegt in einem historischen Gebäude aus dem 18. Jahrhundert Die Zugehörigkeit zu der florentinischen Adelsfamilie "Martini-Bernardi" (ex Palazzo Baroncini). Die Wohnung ist auf zwei Ebenen, bestehend aus: ein helles Wohnzimmer, eine voll ausgestattete Küche, Schlafsofa, zwei Badezimmer und zwei Schlafzimmer! mit allem Komfort. Das Anwesen befindet sich direkt gegenüber von Santa Croce Square und Sie MAGIC Blick auf den Platz von seinem 3-Fenster haben. Die Wohnung ist von großem historischen Interesse. Es wurde komplett neu entwickelt und ist der ideale Ort, um die Atmosphäre der Florentiner Renaissance erleben. Exquisit mit hochwertigen Materialien saniert. Parkettboden mit dekorativen Grenze. Great stay at Santa Croce

The apartment was perfect for us, we really enjoyed the location at Santa Croce, was perfect place for us to be a part of Florence without staying too much in the tourist area. Would definitely recommend it or stay here again!

A Long and Lovely Stay in Piazza Santa Croce

The apartment was great, spacious and quiet while overlooking the bustle of Piazza Santa Croce. Everything was spotlessly clean and Gianna was very welcoming although my arrival was slightly delayed. I stayed 5 weeks and found the location perfect for exploration of all areas of the city!

Great place on Santa Croce square

Great property. Very clean and the location is ideal. The second bathroom is a little tight but overall very nice amenities and awesome place. Lots of good restaurants and shopping right out the door and great view of the square and Basilica.

Lovely stay in a beautiful Italian city

The host was very helpful and thoughtful. She was quick to respond to questions too. We weee located on the square of Santa Croce so we had a constant view of the beautiful basilica!! The space was very comfortable and we would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful apartment!

Stayed in Florence for one month and enjoyed every minute in this superb flat. Every amenity that we needed and we loved our location..Piazza Santa Croce is full of activity which makes for great people watching out the large double windows, but is about ten minutes away from the big crowded areas. Gianna and Umberto were extremely helpful in making our stay comfortable and I highly recommend Madison Alighieri

Excellent property and close to all the sites

Excellent property. Close to all the sites like Duomo, etc. we would highly recommend for a family of four. Very friendly manager and she gave us great restaurant recommendations. The pizza restaurant called IL Pizzaaoula was the best pizza we had ever and great service. Also, there is a fantastic coffee shop with delicious pastries right across the square.

Nothing is Perfect

but, this is as close as it gets! the pictures in the listing do not do this apartment justice; it is so much nicer. 2 levels of near perfection on the first floor with views of the church, children walking to school and tourists meandering around. my only criticism, if even one, is that screens in the windows to keep the mosquitos out would make this a 10 out of 10 apartment to rent

I was in Florence for 6 weeks completing my masters degree. I could not have asked for a more comfortable abode! Great air conditioning, roomy shower, lovely primary bedroom that was very quiet, ENORMOUS amounts of storage for clothes. In Piazza Santa Croce where I could go visit Michelangelo whenever I felt like it. Able to walk all over from home base. House cleaning available for extended stays at a really reasonable price. Can not recommend enough!

Great location but had issues

We booked a VRBO property half-way thru the trip soley to do laundry. So I searched only properties with washing machine. We get there and the owner said the washing machine was broken. We were given 1 towel each (4 guests) to use for 4 days....no way to wash the towels either. When I asked the owner for more towels, she wanted to charge 40 Euro per day for clean towels. We had to check in to a hotel for the remainder of our time in Florence. It was very inconvenient and more expensive.

Best Apartment Ever!!!!!

Ok, if I could rate Umberto’s Santa Croce apartment more than five stars, I would. Everything was exceptional!! From the time of booking, Umberto was available and answered questions as we booked some Florence activities in advance of our trip. We were in awe of the location the moment we arrived, it is literally beside Santa Croce Basilica overlooking the piazza. Gorgeous location and such a treat to see that right outside your window during your stay. Then we went inside to discover that the apartment looked even better than it did online in photos. It is clean, spacious, meticulously kept and well appointed. It has the feel of hotel touches in a stunning home away from home. So many little decor details add to the charm. We were met by Barbara who went over everything with us and gave restaurant suggestions, etc… We had an amazing vacation while in Florence and staying in Umberto’s Santa Croce apartment just made it exceptional. The question is not will we return to this apartment, but when? This was a family vacation with our two teenage boys and all of us enjoyed the space. Thank you to Umberto, and also Barbara, for helping to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We were able to walk to everything we had planned and this location simply cannot be beat. I’m someone who analyzes every detail/review before finally booking a VRBO accommodation when we travel. Let me save you some time and tell you, book this apartment now ~ you will not be disappointed! We cannot wait to go back!!

Perfect location

The two of us really enjoyed this spacious VRBO overlooking the Santa Croce plaza! Seemed less crowded than center town and we were able to walk everywhere very easily. Gianna, the manager, was very kind, easy going, and quick with text responses to our questions. We will definitely stay here again, and recommend it to everyone!
