Very nice accommodations in a great location

We loved this cozy apartment with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and at a great location. Only two (minor) complaints, about the bathroom. There was no real space to hang towels and the Aparteasy folks provided no extra toilet paper in the flat. We had to head to the main offices (luckily right next door) twice to get more. Would advise asking for a few extra rolls when you check in. Otherwise, no complaints. The location was excellent and the apartment was in great condition. We would recommend to others.

Super Lage!

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Appartement, das wir allerdings ausschließlich zum Übernachten genutzt haben. Es befindet sich in einem schmalen, schönen, alten Haus und ist etwas karg, aber mit dem Notwendigen ausgestattet. Das Bad ist recht neu gemacht und "lecker" und hat einen elektrisch betriebenen Heizkörper. Für Nord-/Mitteleuropäer sind die etwas zugigen Einfachfenster und die an der Decke hängende "Gebläseheizung" etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Es war alles sauber und intakt, das Bett sehr bequem. Die Lage ist super! Man kann gut zu Fuß zu den verschiedensten Sehenswürdigkeiten laufen oder gleich um die Ecke die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nutzen. Gleichzeitig hat man mit García ein nettes, nicht so touristisches Viertel mit netten Kneipen, Plätzen und Tapa-Bars vor der Tür. Das Team von ApartEasy war sehr nett, gut organisiert und hilfsbereit.

Perfect area to stay in barcelona

Very very good location and so easy to travel around the. It’s from here - apartment is small but adequate for 3 but needs some redecoration. The lady from aparteasy was very nice and made our arrival very straightforward

Very clean and comfortable apartment

Upon my arrival, the office staff was very friendly and professional. In addition, they were very informative and welcoming. The apartment was as shown in the photos. I have no complaints, and will do business with them again. However, it would have been nice if the balcony had been in the front of the building.

Cozy apartment in a great location

My wife and I stayed here with our eight month old daughter for four days in late September. The apartment that we stayed in was not the same one that is advertised in the pictures. Although there are some similarities, the apartment in the pictures appears to be more like a bachelor-style apartment; the one we stayed in actually had a bedroom. I am saying this in case someone rents this apartment expecting a bachelor, and also because we very much appreciated that there was in fact a room (we rented it thinking it was a bachelor). On the positive side, the apartment is more than enough room for two people plus baby. The owners even purchased a brand new crib and mattress for our daughter which worked out really well. The location is right on the boarder of Gracia and Eixample. We loved that we could wander the quiet and lovely streets of Gracia, including visiting some of the many placas and terrific restaurants, but still be close enough to the hustle and bustle of Passeig de Gracia, including a short walk to the Gothic Quarter and La Sagrada Familia The apartment is quiet and you do not get any of the noise from traffic. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Some items of note. The cooking utensils are very rudimentary, so if you are planning on doing more than light (very light) cooking, you might have to change your plans. The balcony is not really a balcony but more of an open air patio that faces the other tightly packed balconies of neighbouring apartments. (I should say that we didn't mind this, but do not expect a balcony that faces the street, as is shown in the pictures). The air conditioning wasn't the greatest, but since it wasn't that hot we didn't have to rely on it very much. Overall, we would definitely stay here again.

Disgusting

I had booked the apartment listed in the picture over three months ago. My husband and son arrived prior to my arrival in Barcelona and checked in to the apartment. He did not know which apartment I had booked and upon my arrival I was surprised to find that we were given a completely different apartment in the same building. Upon entering the apartment we were both shocked at the condition of the room. There was a thick layer of dust EVERYWHERE including the cutlery, dishes, and shelves INSIDE the kitchen cabinets and drawers. It appeared as though nobody had stayed there in years. The apartment itself was falling apart with the exception of the bathroom which they explained was recently renovated. We checked the linens and found to our horror that there was hair, mould and stains on the sheets and pillow cases including the spares which were in the same condition. It was clear that they hadn't been washed nor replaced in who knows how long. We checked the mismatched towels/rags only to find that they were heavily stained and absolutely reeked. After a long journey with our child, we felt that we had no choice but to spend the night there in that filth. The office was closed at this time and we called the only number which was provided. This phone call topped it off and made our blood boil. A man answered and after explaining why we were calling, rather than trying to accommodate and empathize with us, he was annoyed, angry, arrogant, rude and refused to identify himself. We found out later that he was the owner, Luis. All the issues were pointed out the next day to the lone employee working who was also shocked to find the apartment in such poor condition. After 4 long days, we were offered the original room we had booked as though they were UPGRADING US. However, we decided to stay since we had already spent hours cleaning our room and hand washing our sheets. By this time, we could not trust that the other room would be clean. We are avid travellers and understand that things may go wrong, however Luis until the very last day was confrontational, rude and unapologetic. Only on the last day as my husband was walking away from the office did he approach and apologize for our bad experience and the conditions. He offered to refund us an undisclosed amount onto our credit card as compensation. Another lie!!! 3 weeks now and still no refund. Luis, I hope that your family is proud of how you screw over travellers and have no integrity!

Adequate with superb staff

Our stay at the apartment was great! Although the amenities were cheap, they were adequate for our needs. The bed was comfortable, the shower was fine, kitchen was well supplied (although with very inexpensive dishes, pans, etc.). The apartment was very well located & we could walk to the metro easily. The staff went out of their way to help us get tickets to Sagrada Familia, as the web site was difficult for us to navigate. We would stay there again if in Barcelona.

I arrived in Barcelona and went directly to Aparteasy which was conveintly located in close proximity to the apartment. I was shown up to an apartment that wasn't mine. I then went back down to the office to try and get moved and was told that my booked apartment wasn't ready and to come back in 2 hours. I wasn't allowed into the correct apartment for 5 hours, after checking in the third time. They were supposed to get in touch with me, but this didn't happen. Hence the three visits. The apartment, which looks very nice in the pictures, is very weathered at this point. Stains on the walls, half of the lights didn't work, the two white chairs in the kitchen nook were very unstable and unusable, and there was no power cord for the TV. Another negative is that the windows thru out the entire apartment are white frosted and you can't see anything outside with the windows closed. The terrace was nice enough, though it's the back of the building and faces another close building. The hot water also was luke warm at best. I figured maybe it was a thing in Barcelona, but got a massage around the corner and had the only hot shower I had during my stay. So in conclusion, this apartment is sufficient, and you almost get what you pay for.

L appartement n etait pas du tout celui de la photo!!!!! nous n avons pas dormi dans le studio montré sur les photos mais dans un autre appartement dont nous ne voulions absolument pas! plus grand certe (comme je l ai dit au gerant sur place lors de notre discution un peu animee!... pas besoin!) mais salon sans fenetre! et meubles tres vieux, sans aucun effort de decoration, à deconseiller aux asthmatiques....je ne recommande vraiment pas cet annonceur. il n y a malheureusement aucune possibilite reelle de reclamer quoi que ce soit. vacances gachees

Great stay!

Me and my husband have spent three nights in this studio last week and we really liked it. We were a bit worried about the comments of last review so we checked all the details by email before we booked it. They replied timely and friendly and we took the risk :) When we arrived they welcomed us and gave us some recommendations that we appreciated. During the stay nobody disturbed us, the apartment was very nice, clean and tidy. But what we appreciated the most is the location. It is only a few steps to Passegi de Gracia and a metro station that we didn't even took it any time, we walked down old town. People of the agency were friendly and helpful when we asked them a few questions, no complaints at all. We would recommend that place and we would stay here again!

Misrepresented

The apartment is misrepresented. The picture of the balcony shows a view of the street, but that is a different apartment. The actual balcony is in the back adjacent to other balconies in the building behind about 10 feet away. The view is of the various laundry and housecleaning materials and junk the various neighborhoods have stored on their balconies. This ugly view becomes quite tiresome after a few days and can also get very noisy. The web page also shows a famous Gaudi structure "next to the apartment," although it is 10-15 minutes walk away. The management company Aparteasy is in the building but unhelpful. They said that the switch from the apartment pictured on the web site was a "mistake," since they don't rent that apartment. They refused to remedy other problems, including a dirty shower, dirty stove top, and inadequate kitchen equipment. They could not or would not explain how to work the washing machine. The management had offered an airport transfer service, but simply did not show up. This proved fortunate, since taxi service was less expensive. The TV and Internet are inadequate. The majority of TV channels are in Catalan plus a scattering of mostly minor Spanish channels. There are only 2 international channels, Discovery and Disney. The Wi-Fi is too slow and intermittent for streaming video. Gracia is a terrific area, but there are lots of apartments for rent there. You should keep looking.

Dear David, First of all, thank you for writing your review. Regarding the first point, the issue about the pictures, we are very sorry if you have felt mislead. The picture of the street where the apartment is located is totally real but as you say it is not the view from the apartment but shows which street and building is the apartment located. About the other problems in the apartment you mention we don’t remember to have refused to remedy them. If there were something we could make in that moment to make the property more comfortable we are pretty sure we did our best. The apartment is very nice and correct, but we can understand that not everybody have the same requirements. The TV in Spain works with a system called “TDT” and the TV in the apartment has all the channels that this system allows (some are in Catalan, but most of them are in Spanish). Please notice that in the description of the apartment there is nothing written about having international channels. Concerning the Wifi, thank you for informing about this problem; we are going to make sure to solve it as soon as possible. The distance from the apartment to the Casa Milà or “La Pedrera” is 5 minutes walking (this is a Google Maps information). And, eventually, we would like to explain ourselves about the transfer service. During those days our driver had a problem with his car and this is why he could not pick you up in the apartment. If these kind of things happen we always call our clients for let them know. This might have been a last moment problem and we must have not had the enough time to inform you. And about the price usually this private service is more expensive than taxi because it is private service, quicker, avoid uncertainty about price and route and can take up to 7 people with their bags. We truly apologize if you did not feel good in the apartment, but we have had very nice reviews from other guests and we do not exactly understand your negative comments, specially one month after your stay, so if your experience was that bad we would have appreciated to hear from you before in order to improve our service for the immediate future. Our goal is to improve day by day, so we appreciate very much your review and we are considering it very seriously. Best regards.

Very nice place near Passeig de Gracia

Very good place, well located at the extremity of Passeig de Gracia. The metro station Diagonal is 200m far so it is very simple to move into Barcelone from this place, or even on foot. It is a small apartment (perfect for a couple) but fully equipped and very clean. The agency in charge of the rental has an office at the bottom of the building, so it is very convenient for the check-in and check-out, particularly if you arrive late or if you leave early. And the people dealing with us (during booking process and checking-in/out) are always available and very kind, helping us to make everything easier. I really recommend it

Bonsoir Madame C'est avec beaucoup de plaisir que nous répondrons volontiers aux questions la description et la situation sont exactes L'appartement très propre Le propriétaire a répondu a toutes nos demandes je recommande cette location très belle vue même sans se mettre sur le balcon proximité des courses et du du village tous les avantages sans les inconvénients En été randonnées ,promenades , VTT. En hiver Ballades, raquettes, ski de descente, tout y est sympa nous pouvons en parler nous connaissons la station l'hiver et l'été nous aimons beaucoup les saisies de bons restaurants de jolis villages a visiter sans trop faire de km station familiale a bienôt RP

We spent a really good time in this apartment in Barcelona. The apartment is situated in a nice and calme area of the town, near to the next underground station and not too far from the center of Barcelona.

Confort et détente

Très agréable appartement, confortable, bien équipé, très propre, résidence calme. La rue a traverser et vous voilà au pied des pistes. Situé au coeur de la station, tous les commerces sont à proximité.

Great Location

If you stay in Barcelona for one-two days, a hotel probably would be a better solution. For a longer stay, if you are on a budget and not planning to stay in the room most of the time, you might like this small, cute apartment on a nice quiet street which is within walking distance to the famous Gaudi La Pedrera and Casa Batlló buildings, Barcelona Tourist Bus stop, Flamenco show, metro station, etc. The place is clean, has a fully equipped kitchen and the management is right in the building, if you need anything. We really enjoyed the relaxing evening walks around the neighborhood where there are plenty of restaurants and bars with music and outside seating. We would recommend this apartment, but not for more then two people though.

Budget property but good location

Our family of three visited amazing city of Barcelona NY 2010. We found the appartment as described but not perfectly clean and with one living creature (mouse). Luis as real toreador demolished it. In short word budget apparment for economy stay. Recommendation to the owner to renew airheating (noizy) and buy some extra kitchen staff (plates, glasses, cups etc.) Location is really perfect. 100 % local environment. Nice supermarkert round the corner. Magic Passage de Graice 3 min walk. Orange trees on the street. Perfect.

Cosy, quite and perfect location!

Me and my hsuband spend one week in this apartment last October and we were very happy. The apartment is like photos and the location is perfect. It is just one minute to Paseigs Gracia, boutiques, Gaudí buildings La Pedrera,.. also there are a lot of restaurants, bars, terraces, groceries around the apartment, perfect location. When we were there the elevator was in reparation but that wasn't very bad for us. We recommend this place. Thank you Luis for your hospitality!
