Betsy the owner is amazing and so attentive to our every need. She proactively provided many amenities and even had morning breakfast for the party. She truly went above and beyond and the house was a perfect location to downtown (15 minute walks or 5 minute Uber rides). Was there with 6 adults all celebrating 50 and could not have asked for a better place to the grounds were amazing and a great place to start your mornings with coffee and home made breakfast. Highly recommend!!

The group was a joy to have visit. The were interesting to chat with as well as interested in the history of the house. They were fascinated with Charleston and even with bad weather they kept sightseeing and enjoying what this amazing city has to offer.They were so kind and considerate.Hope they return to visit the places they missed.

The photos are amazing, but they don’t even do it justice. It truly feels magical! The lovely host Betsy is wonderfully communicative. They even met us at midnight to check us in after a ton of travel delays. Every day started with coffee and a fabulous breakfast and great conversation. Very well appointed home, easy access to airport and ride share, very attentive host, gorgeous home and gardens. More than 5 out of 5 stars. We can’t wait to come back!!

Mrs. Betsy is an absolute gem - a treasure to behold! We enjoyed our time in Charleston but the highlight was this incredibly beautiful home and even more beautiful and amazing lady! Wish I could give 100 stars for this outstanding, exceptional, and truly one of a kind property/experience. Doesn't get better than this - southern charm, beauty, manners, and hospitality at its finest!! Inspirational!!

Fabulous stay at Wortham House. Great communication with the host. The house was immaculate, beautiful gardens, and plenty of room for the six of us. Location was walking distance to downtown Charleston. Highly recommend the home for a vacation of a lifetime.

From check-in to check-out, our stay at Wortham House was simply wonderful. Betsy is a true gem, and we feel so lucky to have experienced both this beautiful, historic home and her genuine Southern hospitality. This girls trip was many years in the making, and Wortham House was the perfect backdrop for making memories. Betsy’s homemade breakfasts each morning, her thoughtful Charleston recommendations, and sharing the rich history of the house made our stay feel incredibly special. We left feeling cared for, inspired, and grateful—and we can’t wait to come back.

We stayed at the lovely Wortham House for a long weekend and college reunion. Our group consisted of six ladies and we were more than comfortable in the beautiful space. In addition to the well appointed interior, there were beautiful gardens where we enjoyed a glass of wine and conversation. Betsy was the most gracious and helpful host that you could ask for — the epitome of southern hospitality. We would most definitely return in the future.

What a charming carriage house in the midst of a beautiful garden! Quiet neighborhood which is within walking distance to the downtown area or a quick uber ride! Betsy is the epitome of southern charm and is delight every time you talk to her! She provides a wonderful breakfast each morning ( quiche, bacon and eggs, biscuits, fresh fruit) all delicious and delivered to the kitchen! Daily house service is also included! This was a perfect setting for our annual girls trip! Three bedrooms (twin beds in each) with their own bathrooms!! Large table in the kitchen for game nights!

Beautiful home and gardens!

We absolutely loved our stay. The home and gardens are exactly as described and shown in photos. The daily breakfast was amazing and made our trip so easy. We were a group of 6 for a girls birthday weekend and it was a perfect home for us. We would stay here again!
